    You have the ability to make things so easy to creat. After seeing this cabinet, you have boosted my courage to build an antique China cupboard. I purchased one years ago and now I want to make it in miniature. Thank you Gretchen for sharing your talent.

      You and me both! I actually have to distract myself after gluing and painting things and I have to do something else. Thank you I try to keep my nails together because without "nails" my hands look like they belong to my Dad! LOLOLLOL! Girl with Daddy hands!!!

      I have my dads hands and nose, LOL when I was born I weighed 3.3 pounds. I was all hands nose and feet. I inherited my dads ring which I can wear, special occasion only. ❤️

    Yes- I understand what you mean about not overcutting the wood! When I overcut, then I figure out that I needed just a little more length to sand. When I first started making furniture, if I didn't make sure not to cut too much I was left scratching my head as to why my pieces didn't work. Great tips on this video!

      @@littlegretchensworkshop7665 Since doors weren't in my original plan, all the shelves are the same depth. I had already glued them in place, so doors will have to wait for a future project. I definitely plan on doing it, though. :)

    Thank you for sharing so much information, you are such a helpful teacher. The cabinet turned out beautiful. It's charmingly decorative and could hold it's own in any space. I'll tell you something funny about me...I love sanding 🤣 seriously. I enjoy seeing the wood "come out" when it's smooth, tehe.

      I love staining full size because the woodgrain really shows up

      @littlegretchensworkshop7665  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is So Funny! I don't even know why I hate it so much! It's the way sand paper feels. I LOVE the result, but i hate the way it feels. The abrasion, LOLOLOL! I wish i could have someone sand my pieces before I stain them!!

    Thank you so much for you TH-cam stuff I really enjoy it I am learning. What kind of craft knife do you use please don't cut so well but I do have arthritic hands I buy a lot of them from t e m u LOL

      @littlegretchensworkshop7665  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Terrie! I use a SWANN MORTON Craft knife, handle for Blade #11. It is SURGICALLY SHARP!!! So be SUPER CAREFUL WHEN ADDING AND REMOVING THE BLADE. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU PUT BLADE DOWN AFTER EACH USE. BLADE IS SUPER DUPER SHARP LIKE A SCALPEL.

    I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think those doors are a challenge. So challenge excepted 😂 I sure do hope my cabinet doors come out as good as yours 😉

      You can do it! And if you as not satisfied, TRY AGAIN!! Be Patient with Yourself while you are learning. Even "Gifted "people have to Practice. Let me know how it turns out!

      I sure it's not as bad as you say! But even if it is ,that just means you need to try again! If i were to show you all my "FAILS" over the years, we would both have a great laugh! FAIL just means "First Attempt In Learning"! that's all it means! Because Even if you are GIFTED you have to PRACTICE! Give yourself a moment to get the courage to Try again! Let me know how it goes!
