    It’s a great video for full rebuild I came here just for the spindle. I’d think having multiple videos, of key components would give you the most content and specific as well.

    Great Video!! Thumbs up!!
    FIY ,, I was told many years ago ,,NEVER put any Grease at ALL , None ,, where the Bearing Races Sit on the Spindle. Clean and Dry in that Area on the spindle.
    Reason being, We dont want the "INNER" Bearing Race to Ever Spin on the Spindle.
    Thanks for showing how the seals are orientated.
    Great build video!!!

    Your video has been a life saver for my ford Dana 60. Interestingly enough my axle goes: brake caliper, dust shield, then spindle

    Those Dana 60's are the little brother to the Dana Super 60 that are found on the 2017 and up super duty trucks which offer a 10" ring gear 3.5" axle tubes with 1/2" wall, 35 spline inner and outer axle shafts and 1550 steering u-joints this is the axle I used on my solid axle swap duramax dually

    Great video, not much out there on the full tare down of he Dana 60. This being a chevy, pretty much the same as my 79 F350 Dana 60, except the outer locking mechanism. As for time, there are lots of videos way longer than 30 minutes. So watching this kind of content is worth all in one sitting. Can you please give a good source for the parts you installed? Thanks!

      @Offroadfarm1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you liked the video. Which parts are you referring to? Pretty much everything came from offroad design. The spartan locker, new pinion and carrier bearings, new high steer arm for the passenger knuckle, all king pin parts (bottom kingpin seals, bottom kingpin caps, top kingpin seals, spring retainer, spring, kingpin bushings), outer axle seals, spindle bearings, stub shaft seals, and stub shaft dust cover. Check them out, they have parts for GM, Ford, and Dodge Dana 60's. I've always had great customer service from them and if you have any questions about your 60, they can probably answer it. Thanks for watching.

      @@Offroadfarm1 All seals and bearings, pretty much everything from the "U" joints out. Thanks for your response and I will check them out!

      Dennis Kwasnycia I agree. If it’s all on the same topic, or Dana 60 in this case, having all the content in one video is a good thing.

    I like the way you broke up the videos. That way while I'm in the midst of rebuilding rebuilding my axle I can kind of remember which part was in which section. Thank you very much by the way for making these tutorials. I would have had to pay someone to do it for me otherwise, something I can't stand or afford.
    Have you made a crossover steering for the Dana 60 tutorial?
    Thanks

    What was your final torque on the outter lock ring? I saw you hit 50 and said you like a little more. What so you recommend? I appreciate your videos I am currently doing this on a cucv

    After you install the caliper dust shield you put the little ring on there. I don’t have one of those. Do I need it? I ordered the solid ind 8x6.5 kit and it doesn’t come with it. The axle is on a rock buggy.

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should be fine without it. Just make sure you have enough threads on the studs in the knuckle to tighten down (they should be, but check) Thanks for watching

    How many hours of labor do you think you have in to the rebuilding process? Not ordering parts and all that but, once you have all the parts on hand. I’m looking at doing a rebuild project and trying to get a general idea. Thanks 🙏🏽 🤙🏽

    • @Offroadfarm1
      @Offroadfarm1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's hard to say but if you have everything you need and are mechanically inclined then you should be able to rebuild one in 8 to 12 hours. If your going to be re-gearing then probably double that. Thanks for watching and good luck on your project.
