One of the best tutorials I've EVER seen. Thanks so much for your time and effort put into this video for a axle noob like me. This made my d60 rebuild a lot less daunting to take on
This is a great tear down video. I really appreciate you taking the time to shoot & edit. Helped me out a bunch with my Dana 60 hanging under my old Jeep.
You all probably dont care but does someone know a way to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I love any assistance you can give me.
@Kristopher Nicolas Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
going to be doing this on my 81 K30. Mine is not going to come apart this easy. So jealous of you guys that don't have road salt. Thanks for the video!!!!!
Great Vid !!! I just found that moog makes these lower adjustable king pins for the DANA 60 for first gen dodge's. Their instructions are vague at best. Can you add some detail about these adjustable king pins on your reassembly video. Thanks....
I went with normal bottom kingpins when I reassembled the axle. I know this will affect my camber but I don't really care since this truck is not going to be a daily driver and won't see a lot of highway miles. I never could find a lot of information on the adjustable king pin and sadly can't really offer you any advice. Thanks for watching and nice looking dodge
Hi buddy,im from saudi arabia and i have custom deluxe 30 (k30) with dana 60 front end,can i replace the rear and the front end with the g80 4.10's?,do they fit?
I'm not sure. I would reach out to offroad design. They know just about everything when it comes to squarebodys and should have an answer for you. Good luck and thanks for watching
True, I could have just cleaned them. But, I decided to just replace them since it requires a near full teardown to service these bearings and I already had it apart. Thanks for watching
Such smoomoth and nice narration. Need a cup of whiskey to go with this tutorial and some country music too
Thanks for watching!

@Offroadfarm, thank you for posting this vid! Is the installation procedure the same for the Ford kingpin 60, as well?
Mike, it should be very similar. google "dana 60 bible" it has information on all the different Dana 60's
what model ford did you say that axle is from
88 Chevy! Thanks for watching
@@Offroadfarm1 chevy and dodge dana 60 are the same
selector switch???.no you dont need remove the screw..
Do the inside and outside bearings have races
Are you asking about the hub? If so, yes. I'm going to reuse my wheel bearings and didn't knock those races out
all bearings have races. or ride on hardened surface, like f150 axles bad idea,. & spindle bearings.
chevy used up scale f100 calipers,,instead of f250 calipers..
you didnt ruin the bearings,it went no where,,just brake clean then light oil. done..

uhhhhhh. Pressure wash before disassembly...
I did pressure wash it twice! Granted it was before I pulled it from the truck. Thanks for watching
