Fun fact, Masato went to the hospital after his first fight with Buakaw coughing blood and apparently suffered a few broken ribs and, according to some sources, a ruptured bladder.
Holy shit! Yeah, this is why I would never be a good Muay Thai fighter. I'm not cut from the same fabric 😅
@@WashedOlympian Let's be honest, none of us are XD
in this year he comeback from his retirement and fight with his sifu saenchai one of muay thai legend
🤯
Buakaw never retired, he only took a break for about 3 years because of the coronavirus outbreak.
If you like amazing kicking performances by Thais, then Samkor vs Satoshi Kobayashi is a fun one to watch.
17:30 Buakaw and Superbon (Buakaw's protegé who managed to knock out the goat to become the first ONE FC 70 kilo champ) have their own youtube channels with eng subs. The channel "Muay Thai Testament" also does interviews and stuff with Thai fighters.
OH SICK! I gotta check those out!
8:06 K-1 MAX (which stands for "Middleweight Artistic Xtreme") is a tournament that is held at the 70 kilo weight limit and was the lighter counterpart to the K-1 World Grand Prix, which was an openweight tournament which was full of the best heavyweights of all time (and Kaoklai Kaennorsing, who was a Thai weighing only 79 kilos).
OHHHH! Thank you for the explanation!! 🙏🏻
You check out Samart Payakaroon, he’s considered the Muay Thai GOAT
yup, absolutely. Classic Muay Femeu master!
7:16 it's true it's more fun than the ufc😂
🙌🏻
16:05 Both of their fights between each other were fun to watch. Would recommend watching them.
16:11 Buakaw literally fought against a former K-1 65 kilo champion this year lol
🇹🇭❤️🙏🙏
you should watch Lersila and Samart Payakaroon
15:15 Nah lol. His best win was against Enriko Kehl (not sure how he even won that since I couldn't find footage of the fight)
Have you reacted to Saenchai yet?
Not yet, but I'm planning on it real soon!
reaction lerdsila muay thai
Yo you have to react to sagat petchyindee, the man from whom the street fighter charecter sagat was inspired. He is the top 5 greatest muay thai fighters, one of the goats
Ayy! Thanks for the recommendation! I'll add it to the list! 🙌🏻
He's retired early because in his era no one wants to fight him .
Weird that none of the 2 videos mentioned Masato's rematch with Buakaw (which Buakaw actually lost) or his draw against P4P kickboxing GOAT Giorgio Petrosyan. Those events seem important enough to mention for me.
Weird indeed 🤔
7:33 It's often said to be the least scoring strike within traditional Thai judging criteria or something similar, so native Thai fighters prioritize them the least these days (they used to be more well rounded in the Golden Age though)
this makes them vulnerable to skilled punchers
YOU HAVE TO TRY OUT MUAY THAI 😅❤
Hahahahah! I don't think my broken body would agree 😅 If only I started doing this earlier!
@@WashedOlympian now listen youngster, 😂I picked it up at 44 after a 10 year break from martial arts. I have so many old injuries I have lost count. I’m careful when i train and adjust. And of course I started up slowly. I informed the place i train at about my history and they were so good at helping me out. Now I can do a lot as my body has regained strength. Thai boxing is much more controlled than Taekwondo I find. I don’t aim to compete I train cus it is just so much fun, I love the kneeing and punching and elbowing. 😅 On pads of course. But hey, you know your body and you should listen to It.
OH WOW! THAT'S HONESTLY SO AMAZING TO HEAR!!!!
Okokokok! Maaaybbeee. You got me to consider it a LITTLE hahah 😅😅😅😅
