One of the best parts of using a Samsung phone over the years has been using a Micro SD Card to store extra files. Today I show you how you can move everything over to the SD Card including your photos, videos & apps!

Why is it when photos are moved to sd card there date stored changes is there any way to fix this .
I have not experienced this so not sure how to fix it.

Tech With Brett I choose to move my apps to SD card, i saw the loading process but why my apps still takes up internal storage? The free space in both internal and SD card didnt change a bit.

Thanks for this video I’ve been a long time iPhone user and I’m tired and bored of it now and I am definitely switching to galaxy S10+ this week one of the main things is the ability to save my media to and external storage space not a cloud or anything like that, I’ve lost some files or media using iCloud and it sucks having to go find it online and download it again. So thanks again.

They are probably elitist that think they can do it a better way. that or too impatient and wanted the answer in the first 10 secs of the video, then clicked off. Also, they are apple users and are just jealous cause this is easy. lol

Just bought a 128 sny elite x micro sd card. So this video is perfect for this situation.
I have a LG Trac Phone and your instructions were helpful even though I had different options to choose from. I figured it out and I'm happy now. I didn't even know I had a slot for an SD card until last week....LOL !!! Thank you :)

Thank you, just got a Samsung EVO Select 128gb SD card for my Galaxy S9 + FINALLY 😁 and can free up some internal storage. Moving the apps seems pretty straightforward but I'm going to have to refer back to the pictures and internal files part of it when it comes to the DCIM etc, it seems a bit complicated to me in that area.
Your videos are the best I've seen so far, thanks for posting and you don't have to worry about the thumbs up.

Thank your for your help out of all the other videos Yours was the most easiest to undersrand. Appreciated. All they needed to say was go into camera settings and change location to sd card to have all yoyr pics videos stored . 48sec 101 secs most useful thanks.

Thank you so much! Very clear & easy to follow. Also the sound was good, on some tutorials you can't hear even if the volume is at max. Is there a way to transfer phone contacts to google contacts? My old phone died so couldn't transfer numbers from it to the new phone as the phone numbers were in the phone, not in google.
Thanks for the feedback! Yes there is. You can do that right from the Contacts app in the menu. You might want to download the official Google Contacts app as it lets you move them to Google Contacts easily. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.contacts

I have an issue thought; when I move apps on the SD card to free space on the internal memory, it automatically transfer it back from the SD to the phone after some time, thus making my phone run out of space again and runnning very slowly; is there a way to avoid that? Locking the app on the SD so it doesn't transfer back?

@@TechWithBrett it probably won't. Samsung is one of the last to have it, and I think they might drop it all together. Less and less control to the user unfortunately

After wasting my time looking at all the other videos, this is the only one I needed. Thank you so much! If you have apps like Call Recorder, Easy Voice Recorder, or a dating app with conversations on it and those apps are transferred to the external storage, will it erase any of the recorded phone calls, conversations, or dating text in the dating app? Plugged directly in through USB? Have you had this working before on a Samsung phone? I don't believe I ever have. You could try changing the settings to media transfer when you plug it in.
