I Flipped My First Furniture - A DIY Project

Hi! My name is Canan. I am an artist and making ceramics, simple woodworks and innovative use of environmental materials.
In this video, I'm excited to show you how I repaired and transformed the appearance of this old cabinet. The process involved a lot of trial and error moments, which reaffirmed the importance of this work, but also highlighted the significant effort required to achieve the desired results.
Not only do I find immense joy in breathing new life into discarded items like the cabinet I found on the street, but it's also vital for reducing waste and minimizing our environmental footprint.
I showcased my commitment to using eco-friendly materials in my crafting projects, including the soy-based paint I featured. However, after two months, it's clear that the paint didn't dry or set properly, as you can see. This not only means I can't confidently use it on the cabinet but also highlights the need for high-quality, well-tested eco-friendly products in the market. While I believe in the importance of sustainable materials, this experience reminds me that they require stringent quality control and advanced technology to ensure they work effectively. I'm planning to reach out to the company to address this issue and possibly return the paints. It's essential that eco-friendly products live up to their environmental promises without compromising on quality.
Note : There was also a finish oil from the same company but I avoided to use it for the same reason.
