Thank u so much for posting this. I've been having similar vibrations on my car. I thought it was because my wheels weren't balanced or a bad motor mount but verified it wasn't that. I'll check my CV axle this weekend to see if that's the cause!
Yeah man! Give it a check and hope you find what causing it on your car. I'm trying to figure out what cause the vibes though, got all the parts and so far, it could use a little bit of extra axle length to pusth the bearing inside the inner joint. You'll see it in next episode. I'm trying to find a shop that sell a longer axle or maybe a custom one. If no make it, l guess l have to make one. I'm afraid that l put it together as is, it might happen again. Thanks for watchimg man!
One thing I can say for anyone running universal 4 lug wheels..... Buy hub centric rings for your wheels. Those will eliminate any vibration due to the wheels not being centered. Axles , now that a whole other Honda problem that I am tired of. Lol
My tuner have told me about a brand from Oreilly's auto parts name import direct but it's for Acura and Honda's. You can give it a try and if it dont wirk out, it has a warranty and you can always return it.
No problem! It's the axle that causing the vibration. The H22 swap and lowering the car really made the drive axle to be in so much angle and really putting too much stress on the needle bearings and madevit to vibrate. It's worth checking yours.
Holy crap man, were the needle bearings in the cup stuck in the back? I wonder if someone added a different base grease as opposed to the polyurea grease used for needle bearings. Like a lithium moly grease. The chemical reaction between incompatible additives will cause a breakdown and the polyurea grease will burn up at the higher temps. But hot damn things broke down bad in your bearings😮 I didn’t see any scoring around the shaft that the needles roll on so my best guess is they c-clips were faulty and popped off. Scrap that brand of axles!
No vibes from steering wheel only on the pax side door and it's happening during turn @ lower rpm range. If you feel any vibe on the wheel, it could be your tire or any suspension components.
hey sensei do you know off the top of your head if the h23 cylinder walls have the frm coating? Ive been talking to some jdm dealers that sell engines, one of them told me the h23 will pass smog hear and CA idk how true that is
H23a bluetop has frm sleeve and l doubt it that it'll pass the visual inspection because of the code. But you can have it referee though. If you have all the paperworks and pay the fee. Use the usdm intake manifold, same year for that model and keep all the smog equiptment. I don't see why it wont pass the state referee.
I been calling them and no one answer and going to the yard was in my list too. The yard on my area doesn't have Prelude at this time and l know cb7 Accord can alternate. But l insane shafts was 20 min away from me. To my surprised, they honored it and you guys will see it next week. Tnx man!
Had a set of insane shafts in the prelude. Same shit. Too short. The fucking boots got permanently stretched and after 6 months off the car , they're still in the same stretched position. Can't even get them to answer the phone either. I guess blame the pandemic for this too eh?
I tried calling them and yes, no one answering a call. Sinced l lived close by, stopby and they honor my claimed and gave me new parts for it. I wasn't expecting l'll get new parts coz l know if your car is lowered they wont honor it. Anyway, l'm making a vlog about it for next week and l hope it might help you or others about why it's coming off from the joint. Tnx for watching man!

True, l actually bought a set but got the wrong size.
What's the camera you are using to film the axle? Id like to have one too.
Gopro 11
@@sagittnet2158 thanks mate. I have vibration rattle too. Swapped 4 axles and it's even more apparent. I have a feeling its from manual trans.
No worry! You might have same problem like mine and better to check the axle inner joint needle bearings. Just to be sure. Thanks
do you have any recommendations for cv axle brands? Im having this problem on my bone stock 06 toyota matrix base model.

Thank you for this video, I really needed a clue as to what really has been going on with my honda fit gp5.

So that the thing when you reverse , foward and change gear have bangging or clucking??
No clunking or banging noise. The passenger door was vibrating so bad everytime l'm turning left or right. Hi speed no vibration what so ever.

It all went at the back of the booth and l really think that angle of axle is the culprit and also car being low.
Did this make your steering wheel shake aswell?

That axle is flexing. Get a bump steer kit.
It could be but l no longer have the full H swap on my Civic. If l decide to put it back, l might consider it. Thanks man!

Do you have to take the cv axle nut off to check for play or can it be left on to check it?
Yes, the nut has to be remove in order to check for clearances. Vtec Academy made a vlog on how to check cv driveshafts clearance.
Ok thank you,
They probably won't warranty it, but you can rebuild it, with a junkyard axle.

Funny thing. Now my axle acting up and i have to rebuild mine also.
Better repair it before it get worst.
