Hitler was actually very pro tradesmen. He felt everything should be made that way since mass production was a capitalist invention. That was one of the mistakes he made since it slowed production way down.
In Russia the communist came for all who spoke out, factory owners, shop owners, farmers, all religious people, non-supportive party members including politicians, teachers, doctors, attorneys, artist, musicians then shipped them off to gulags where millions died in slavery.
The fatal, fatal mistake occurred on December 10, 1941 when he declared war on the U.S. He lost the war on that date. The more immediately-timed mistake was attacking the Russians, in Operation Barbarossa. He once confided with one of his allies that if he'd known the Russians had 400 fully staffed and trained divisions, he'd never have attacked them. In fact, one of his generals said he was bewildered; he'd defeat a Russian division and the next day there was another one taking its place.
After studying WWII for about forty years, I have come to the conclusion that the focus on Hitler is actually a bit overplayed. The state of western civilization at the time was unsustainable. The war to finish the business of The Great War had to happen. The Great War largely ended monarchism. WWII was the death of colonialism. But the causes stretch much further back, to the Napoleonic wars, the French Revolution. It took a couple of hundred years for monarchy to die. Dictatorships were a sort of experiment along the way. The old ideas of class are still around today.
Remember, WWII didn’t just happen in Europe. It actually began in the East, with Japan’s invasion of Manchuria in 1931, and its subsequent invasion of the rest of China in 1937. That’s years before Germany’s invasion of Poland in 1939. I know Churchill likes to think of the two wars as part of another “Thirty Years War” but that is a bit of an oversimplification. And the end of the war was only the beginning of the end of European imperialism. That took a lot longer, and in an economic sense, is still going on. I also don’t think that WWII had to happen. Had the victorious Allies of WWI been thinking more of the good of all, rather than just their narrow gains, Germany wouldn’t have gotten the full responsibility for WWI (certainly Germany alone was not solely at fault), not insisted on such heavy reparations, and had the U.S. not retreated into a dangerous isolation, the second war might have been avoided. Also, the understanding of economics was so poor in that era, (the U.S. responded under Hoover by enacting the Smoot-Hawley Tariff, which was disastrous both in the U.S. and globally) that the Great Depression might have been less severe globally, and in that case, Hitler might never have come to power. He and his party certainly weren’t very popular for most of the 1920s.

One small correction -- Hitler was not "duty-bound" to declare was on the U.S. after Pearl Harbor because the tripartite pact obligated him to do so only if JAPAN WAS ATTACKED by the U.S. (or another nation). I believe Hitler did so in the hope that if Japan were further sucked into the conflict, they would also attack Russia, giving Stalin a second front to defend, taking SOME of the heat off of the Nazis.
You give Hitler too much credit. He gave no thought to it at all, it was idiotic. He never had a "strategy", he had an ideology that motivated everything he did and caused the failures.

Hitler didn't have Parkinson's - we just didn't understand at the time - all the hand shaking was Hitler having a 'jones.' He was a rock monster (crystal meth).
Poland member of the british empire, I don't think so. Munich finished Hitler, according to Hitler. He miscalculated the German response to his plans to begin war in autumn of 1938.
Right? But Hitler had already invaded Czechoslovakia, annexed Austria and the Sudetenland and posed much more of a threat to all of Europe than the Soviet Union. Plus they promised that those three countries would be as far as they would go, and almost immediately went back on their word and embarrassed Britain on the world stage.
@@mikebailey9566 Munich showed both Hitler and Stalin for what they were when both divided Poland between them, and had the British declared war on both that would appear war friendly and mindless as to reality that Stalin and Hitler likely remained enemies rather than friends. And youre right that Hitlers total overthrowing of his promises generated the worlds focus that he alone was the enemy of all.
'Murica!!! We were already so far into the Lend-Lease agreement that Japan kick-started the inevitable. Hitler declaring war on the US was an artifact of his "alliance" with Japan and because he loved the sound of his own voice.
The US was already so far into the Lend-Lease agreement that it was a matter of time before we became fully involved. The Japanese made it happen a little faster. Hitler's mistake was not recognizing his own hubris and fighting a war on two fronts.
@@hkschubert9938 To clarify what I said in my earlier comment: Hitler declaring war on the US, given the way alliances were drawn up, had no impact on the outcome of the war. It was merely an excuse for a loud-mouthed psychopath to hear his own voice and pretend like he was tough. Lend-Lease was about the only thing keeping Britain going in terms of weaponry and supplies. As such, the US was already in the war, on the Western front, in 1940. If the Japanese hadn't attacked when they did, I don't think American troops would have stayed out of the actual fighting for much longer than the spring of '42. Hitler already had a fight on his hands in the West. Then, he poked a stick into Uncle Joe's eye. Der Fuhrer's ego and divided forces were the beginning of the end for Germany. -- I very much agree that only an idiot would think he could take on the Americans on one front and the USSR on the other.

By than the USSR was getting help from Uncle Sam. Weapons of war, material etc. Stalin had the human resources and with USA 🇺🇸 Industrial might. Uncle Adolph didn’t stand a chance .
Actually they almost got to Moskow, but the Japs brought the USA to the war and they vouldn't invade esatern Russia, when Stalin found that he sent the troops in Siberia that were training to fight the Japs to defend Moskow. There are reports that when Hitler found out that the Japs had attacked the US he exploded in rage.it was a stupod gamble. They needed fuel none of the Axis countries had it.
You have your timeline wrong. The defeat in Moscow was Dec 1941. Stalingrad was mid 1942. But there was never any way he could beat Russia unless the Russians surrendered. Which they didn't.

You give Hitler too much credit. He gave no thought to it at all, it was idiotic. He never had a "strategy", he had an ideology that motivated everything he did and caused the failures.
Well, look how much of America fell for Trump. We're going right down that road
Who never started a war 😂
We love Trump ❤
It's scary...
So let me get this straight first time Trump was elected it was the illusion of collusion with Putin and this time it's Adolf. You people are really stupid. Here's an idea don't get your news from any MSM and definitely don't get it from government controlled media.
I don't think so
STILL COMPARING DONALD TRUMP TO HITLER?!
GO CHASE BRICK WALL!!!
Thinking he was more knowledgeable than his generals.
The Bulge never stood a chance due to supply lines. He didn’t have eniugh fuel ⛽️
And Allies had air supremacy
It was stupid on so many levels.....

I still can't believe how all of Germany fell for this.
Really look what the USA just did😊😊
It may seem unbelievable, but if you really look closely you'll see how easy it was back then to fall into the arms of extremism, and how easy it's even today. People like fantasy more than rough reality.
@@bige3453 but kamala didnt win

Too much pride and ego is what lead them down that path

Winter in Russia was the mistake no winter equipment attack on Moscow failure the big loss.
Well here in the UK we voted for Brexit, the States voted an idiot in as president, in general most people are idiots, history proves it.
Hitler didn't have Parkinson's - we just didn't understand at the time - all the hand shaking was Hitler having a 'jones.' He was a rock monster (crystal meth).
Tweekers certainly are distinctive.
Germany and Russia attacked Poland but Britain only declared war against Germany?
I stoped and switched off at “Sedootinland”.
I wonder if the accused at the Nuremberg trials were a bit sorry for the outcome it would have been different for them?
Hitler the most hated persona in the human history .
I didn’t have to watch this to know his BIGGEST mistake was declaring war on the US
'Murica!!! We were already so far into the Lend-Lease agreement that Japan kick-started the inevitable. Hitler declaring war on the US was an artifact of his "alliance" with Japan and because he loved the sound of his own voice.
Adolf made 2 fatal mistakes:
1: attacked Russia, &
2: declared war against USA on Dec 8, 1941.
The US was already so far into the Lend-Lease agreement that it was a matter of time before we became fully involved. The Japanese made it happen a little faster. Hitler's mistake was not recognizing his own hubris and fighting a war on two fronts.
@aluvrianne nobody can beat the Russians or the USA. Adolf was blind.
@@hkschubert9938 To clarify what I said in my earlier comment:
Hitler declaring war on the US, given the way alliances were drawn up, had no impact on the outcome of the war.

I very much agree that only an idiot would think he could take on the Americans on one front and the USSR on the other.
Seeing all the people on here with Trump derangement is unbelievable stop watching mainstream news or just a bunch of liars. Look what they’ve done to your mind.😂😂😂😂
I agree. Now we have a Marine corporal for a V.P. makes me proud as a veteran.

Pearl Harbor was a tactical success and a major strategic failure. Also, the one and only battle the Japanese "won".

There were a ton of mistakes but the final mistake was fighting russia it the winter. Had there been fewer mistakes along the way russia might have fallen. They were in sight of moscow but hitler put so many forces in to destroying stalingrad everything stalled.
By than the USSR was getting help from Uncle Sam.
Weapons of war, material etc. Stalin had the human resources and with USA 🇺🇸 Industrial might. Uncle Adolph didn’t stand a chance .
@@ronalddesiderio7625 Yep. there were thousands of tons of things sent to the ussr via lend lease.
