I remember my husband called and said he was being sent home. They were closing all high rise buildings in the Detroit area. I was glued to the TV for weeks. So sad.

I remember my mom and dad running into my room after I came home from school, I'm Swedish and I was 8 at the time. They told me to come watch the news, that something terrible had just happened. Watching live, I got to see two planes hit the buildings. I remember that I realized I was literally watching thousands of people dying when the footage of people jumping was aired. I will never be able to thank my mom and dad enough for letting me know about and watch the tradegy unfold, because it really opened my eyes for the evil you will have to face in life, one way or another. I think everyone of us grew up a bit during that day, no matter what part of the world you came from. I give all of my respect and condolences to all the victims of all the flights, emergency responders, worked, civilians and military personell who lost their life. When Bin Laden was shot, I smiled and remembered all these images I saw back when I was a kid. Took the smile of my face. Fight terror and evil at all cost. It's not just the government who can make a difference but all of you :)
