@DIRTROADCRED Excellent choice on the wheels. Definitely came out better than what I envisioned. The options for tires have their pros and cons, but I personally like your choice and reasoning for them. Great job on the looks. Perfectly excuted.
As a veteran myself it's so awesome how you guys are honoring the greatest generation of veterans with this build. The "Toots" thing is awesome!!!! And the whole jeep is incredible! You guys rock!
Wheels look awesome!! Fun fact about the WWII tires is that the tread is the way it is (perpendicular to the wheel) is so that if the enemy saw the tracks in the dirt, they couldn't tell which way the vehicle was going.
I have those wheels on both my Jeeps. One set i have had for 3 years, they hold up very well. It did take a long time to get them in the gater color. I ordered them, and they took about 6 month's to get, and that was in 2021. I ordered the second set in '23, and it was about 8 months for that set in gater. So anybody looking, be ready for a big wait. I think it was a great idea to have Distinction paint your wheels instead of waiting. They look great!
Matt, You guys nailed it on the wheels! And I agree that the gloss is better than the flat. Tire size is perfect. She is becoming a “Memphis Belle” just needs the ladies on the side. You are creating a great map for others who want to do a similar Jeep - Awesome.
Jeep build is looking awesome. What a great improvement. Hope when you guys are finished, you guys would be willing to raffle this jeep off. I would buy tickets today. Cannot wait to see, your next mod. Great channel.
I like the build and concept. good job. Those skinny tires need a skinny wheel. Something under 8 inches I think would look better. I was thinking about those tires on a 7.5 wheel.
I'm just speechless on how you got those wheel's ? And the paint job ? Forgettaboutit ! The rear wheel's are close to the fender, but, you already explained taking the fenders off ! Unbelievable hommage to the WWII Veterans, nice touch Matt ! I still say you're CEO material..Once again, good job Matt and Ryan ! 👍👍
Guys I had commented prior that you needed 41 edition wheels… well I was wrong!!!! Those look absolutely stunning!! Good job guys!!!! Can’t wait to see your choice of fender, I’m dying for a true steel flat fender, maybe have vintage turn signals mounted on top, that would be cool I can’t wait, you guys are without question my favorite TH-cam channel! (My wife can verify lol!)
Bro,bro, bro, you guys nailed it!!! Bad,bad ass all day...can not wait to see whats in store next.. love this and like i always say, " cant for the next content "
Do you know how much I’m smiling right now? … .. . BTW, I’ve rolled on 235/85 series LRE tire on a Jeep and somewhere around 24-27psi was my sweet spot.
I love those wheels and tires look great. I love the no holed rims, been looking at getting something like that for my jeep, but waiting for now. Still would have loved to see all matte PPF and rims, but it looks great. Can't wait to see what you do next.
That look is perfection. That wheel + tire combo is *chef's kiss. I've been a Gorilla lugnuts user for years, that's all I run. "Little LuLu" for my 100 year old Grandpa! Thanks guys! Funny story from him regarding that "risky" nose art, he told me that one B-24 Liberator called "Pistol Packin' Mama" (you can use your imagination on that one, if not...look it up) was in their squadron. One day one of the US Army Air Corps top brass was touring the airfield in Italy with his wife and the nose art made the Mrs blush. Needless to say, they made the guys paint a bra over it after that visit. She was never the same again, the plane too. ; )
Thanks for sharing‼️ I really like the tire setup you went with it looks really great. Since, I'm in the market for new tires, you've got me looking at those tires now. Thanks for the insight.
I really did not care for the 41 color, until I saw the one that you were working on. Looks great and the lettering really adds that special touch. Double thumbs up 👍
Looks like what I'm planning on doing on my 21 Sarge Green Wrangler, though I'll be going with steel wheels when it happens. That looks good, keep up the good work, I'm enjoying your videos.
It looks awesome at the height that it is. As long as your not gonna hardcore wheel it is leave it the way it is. And I’m usually in the “Lift it” camp.
Looking good! Never thought of a narrower wheel but it works. You chose well!👌I picked up the Black Rhino Barrage rims and run a 35" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT on my 22' Gladiator and they are great. Love the way they ride.
SPOT ON for the wheel and tire combo. i do like the slotted rims as well. i also prefer skinny vs fat tires. i run 285/75-17s ( Toyo AT3) on my JKUR. They measure at 33” tall. These work for me. Your jeep looks sooooo good now ! Can’t wait to see what the new fenders will look like.
Those rims look SO MUCH BETTER! then the ones Jeep came up with you hit the mark with them and the tires! have Y'all thought about going to a sheet medal shop and have a set of wider WWII finders made?
Matt and Ryan that jeep wrangler JL looks great. It is to the point so far. Also my father Richard Robert Roy he pass away 😢 served in Vietnam in the WW2
What do you think of these wheels & tires?

I was fully ready to troll and bash the tires , but they really do look amazing. Great job boyz.

Looks great. Can’t wait for warmer weather.
Get some shots of it with top and doors off, side by side pictures with the WW2 Jeep
honestly, i dont think you could have picked a better wheel/tire combo. very fitting, super clean, on theme. 10/10
Matt,
You guys nailed it on the wheels! And I agree that the gloss is better than the flat. Tire size is perfect. She is becoming a “Memphis Belle” just needs the ladies on the side.

Yes, a canvas tan top.
Looks awesome! Great combo. Can't wait for the rest of the build.
Cant wait to check this thing out at Jeep Beach and I'm looking forward to meeting you guys.

These wheels look soooo good. I may copy you guys!
That 255/85 is an awesome size, I was hoping that's what you meant when you said 255/70!
Had this same size on my gladiator. Great tires off-road and in the snow.
Those wheels look awesome! That was a great idea to get the mismatched wheels and have them powder coated. 👍
I love this...
Those wheels...are FRIGGIN SICK 🤯
We think so too!!
Amazing
I love this build! I would so do the spikes ❤😂 now you need a Navy Seabee stencil
I really did not care for the 41 color, until I saw the one that you were working on. Looks great and the lettering really adds that special touch. Double thumbs up 👍

These wheels and tires give this Jeep a much "cooler" look.
Lookin' Good!👍
B&M killed it! I worked with them for my 35’s and all is great. Curious to see where it goes from here.

My Bronco runs those tires in 37s. They are phenomenal.
Very nice choice!
