Hey KTO, you should do a video on the longest game in college football history, 2003 Kentucky vs Arkansas. This game went into SEVEN overtimes and over 130 points were scored between each team. And all on top of this, the kickoff was at 7PM. This game went well into midnight.
To be fair, the XFL revival was actually doing great. But the pandemic completely threw a wrench in their plans. However, they are planning a comeback with new owner, Dwayne The Rock Johnson
If both the USFL and XFL can do well, they may be able to merge together and have a full scale league that some day, may be able to compete with the NFL top draft prospects. I don't think anyone should try moving to the Fall though. Although today it's doable with all the streaming services you don't have to fight for tv contracts as much like the 80s.
@@JackFirlowIsR374rd3dthey both just merged!!! I’m low key gonna start watching the new USXFL due to the merger because I feel that’s honestly what both leagues were missing for me to be interested. A bigger pool of teams and actual division in conferences is gonna be 10 times more interesting imo
I loved the USFL and was fortunate to have attended one game in person (Tampa Bay Bandits vs. Philadelphia Stars At Veteran’s Stadium in Philly in 1983). The Stars absolutely dominated that league winning 2 of the 3 titles (and appearing in all 3 Championship Games). It would’ve stayed active for longer had they not expanded so soon (starting in the second season), and the silly decision to try to move to the Fall.

Vince McMahon is another reason why I wouldn't watch the XFL. With all the appalling things with the WWE besides that pro wrestling is fake, this man should be head of a professional football organization? What should we expect, when the losing team gets upset, they create mayhem against their opponents? After the the championship game, McMahon drops his pants, and the losing team lines up to kiss his butt in front of a live national audience?
@@johnthompson286 and if it weren't for the NFL returning to Baltimore, the CFL might still have teams in the US (San Antonio and Baltimore were doing okay and Shreveport would have been viable with a better owner) and may not have returned to Montreal.
I've been wanting another spring league for a long time now. So much talent out there it's really a shame a lot of these players have to wash out instead of making a career entertaining people who love the game and want to see a different take on the league. I mean, when you compare the NFL and college games you can feel the difference in how the games revolve around a handful of people (especially with Fantasy so prominent) and it doesn't have that "team" feel you get in a college game. It would be cool to see something like the AAFL work with its state teams so states can have a cool representation rather than like three teams in California, New York, and Florida. With the world now embracing streaming, television wouldn't even be as big of a hurdle as it used to be. Maybe we're coming to a point where it would really be viable.
The AAFL sadly failed, so did the NFLs D League, the WLAF. If it weren’t for COVID 19. XFL 2.0 would have succeeded. I’m going to Dwane Johnson’s management of the league a chance.

@Happy 2BeHere Given how often fans complain about the NFL having become soft lately, if it continues, people might actually be willing to watch the XFL.
Happy 2BeHere there’s a market but it’s smaller than you’d think. I guarantee the people clamoring for it are the loudest but not the largest. Most people dont give two shits about the politics (which is a XFL major selling point) and the casual fan is okay with the offense-oriented rules because it creates more scoring. The roughing the passer confusion is the first time I’ve seen a majority of fans band together about rule changes since the game has been more QB friendly. Even though I personally enjoy dominating defensive football it’s all about fantasy football and trying to get 30 a game and if the XFL can manifest that it’s going to be because the players suck, not because of copying nfl rules. If they DO copy rules then people are just going to keep watching the teams they’ve grown up around. Nobody is gonna go watch the fucking Chicago Enforcers when the Bears are playing

THEY’RE BACK!!!!!
USFL fail because:
-teams went beyond the salary cap
-shady team management
-owners wanted to move to the fall 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
-they sued the NFL for $3
Suspence58 the league failed because Rump conned all but two of the owners!!! The first year was a success & no plans were ever in the works to move the league from spring!! Rump buys the Generals after that season & the contracts sky rocket, he cons others to get in with new teams & talked moving to fall because the NFL told him never on him owning a team!! The Bandits owner & one other fought Rump on the move until the Bandits owner passed away!!!
Easy to see the truth, no Rump, league is a success, with Rump, the league folds in two years!!!
You should make a video about the evolution of the quarterback position as a whole, I think that'd be super cool
