That was an interesting partnership. Because unlike some of Paul's guys who can't talk, CM Punk was the master of the promo.

There's a solid reason CM Punk is revered by the fans. It's because nobody in the business has been better at cutting a promo nor can back it up in the ring better than him. He is and always will be one of the all time greats.
Only reason people love punk was because they were tired of Cena after a couple of months punk was boring and people needed back Cena or Ortan

Heel character are intended to be hated, or else the script planned for the heel might get ruined, or in some case heels got too loved, they had to rearrange storyline.

Heyman is such a good speaker. The guy is not only a great heel, and manager but also just a great storyteller. I was really hooked. I could listen to his WWE stories all damn day.

Brock and Heyman is the prototypical team of brawn and brains in action. They work beautifully together. Brock never needed to talk, but when he did, it did mean something. “Say something stupid, Paul.”
The genius of Punk and Heyman was that their characters were both conversationalists that got where they were by outsmarting other people. Punk/Heyman was more like a comedic duo than most manager pairings. More akin to Fry and Laurie than they would be Andre and Bobby. The work was awesome because of its freshness at the time.
Punk did deserved better. I really enjoy Paul's interviews.
Punk was the biggest name, since the attitude era's great, SCSA and THE ROCK, and other than Cena. Punk is a modern day legend.
