Upbeat, happy, leave you with a smile every time. This song feels very much like the music I most loved when I was a teenager in the early '70's. Songs like "Brandy" (Looking Glass), "Ride Captain Ride" (Blues Image), "Rocket Man" (Sir Elton John), and "Beginnings" (Chicago), were the music I loved then, and "Take Your Mama" fits right in with those classics.
This song actually made me take my mama out all night, and I sang this song at karaoke. Cheesy af, but she was a detective for 25 years. The time I got to take her out after she retired, I'd been waiting for that moment. I hold that memory close.

I’m 30 now but when I was 13 I discovered this album by accident. I was young and not out yet due to a lot of reasons so I hid who I was by listening to their music. I handed down my old MP3 player to my sister who is 2 years younger than me and forgot to erase it before doing so. This was one of the first songs that played when she hit shuffle so she asked me about it. I was scared she was upset with me but she loved the song and we shared my secret for many years. I’m out now and we still listen to this album along with all the others together. It’s on our road trip playlist and when we hang out it’s always playing somewhere in the background.
