This song came out my freshman year in highschool and still feels good to listen to. Though it doesn't take me back anymore to those high school days, it does still make me feel nostalgic. There's a quote from World's Famous Dad (great film, btw) that comes to mind, “I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is ending up with people who make you feel all alone.” It's funny how teenage isolation can feel so empty, when the real emptiness comes from trying too hard to fit it. I knew that as a teenage dirtbag, and I have constantly remind myself as an adult that keeping up with Jones's, or the Kardashians, is a fool's errand. Life comes at you in half-hazarded lobs of nonsense, so it's best to take the beatings & the rewards on YOUR terms.
This has been a prayer for me, one of the things that keeps me loving him even though he continues to hurt me. He's a good man, but he doesn't respect my boundaries, and it's been seven years of this.
After stealing the chipmunks, Ian formed a band and pursued his dream of becoming a musician himself. Dave kept in touch with the chipmunks after the break-up and died of testicular cancer at the age of 63. Theodore decided to quit music and moved to Nashville with Eleanor to live a quiet life. Simon published two solo albums before he gave up and invested in the sunglasses business. Alvin died of an overdose at the age of 27.

To me that's the most annoying part lol
Yes! Also when he says she doesn't know what she's missing... Love this song forever!

Seminal, one of those songs that resonates now as much as it ever did and always will ❤
The music. The clothes. The actors. Early 2000s nostalgia overload.
I’d say from 1995 to 2005 was straight up the golden years of many me included. What happen to music.
I’ll always love this song
American Pie
i wasnt even alive in early 2000’s yet i have such a desire to live through it
The scenes are actually from the movie "Loser", really good movie and this song is the theme song from the soundtrack.
So we've got Jim and Heather from American Pie, the guy who stole the chipmunks and a guy playing the banana all in one video. Iconic.
Lmao 🤣🤣
Uncle ian
So true😂😂
Actors gotta act bud.
It's not from American Pie, it's from Loser.
He is the only man allowed to wear a bucket hat.

I remember back when I was an actual teenage Dirtbag degenerate, the 2000s were amazing. Glad to see this song coming back around gives kids a chance to find out about old 2000 bands and movies.
I was born in 2000. But for some reason (maybe its just growing up around it and the music) I love the early 2000s
Should have been around in the 80's. I feel bad for people who didn't get to grow up in that marvelous decade.
Man you aren't kidding. 2000s rocked.
I was 28 years old when this came out. Still a toe tapper
@@TheClawNinja im black, I think I'm good lmao
Songs like this will be eternal bangers, they have their own sound which is lacking in so much music of the last 20 years.
Yes, I agree indeed
I'm French and these movies and music defined my youth.
It was prime Americana in my mind.
Listen this banger in Bordeaux. Good ol’ days.
Absolutely prime Americana!! Well said.
1. It was prime Americana. 2. I’m shocked but love that even for you this defined your youth all the way from France 🥺
Same here. These movies, songs and faces take me back to 95-04.
This is one of my comfort songs. I come here everytime I feel old (or sad because i'm aging) so it makes me feel like a teenage dirtbag again 😊
I ask myself everyday where'd the time go.
Hello ppl of sept 23❤
I’m with you brother.

Lies. You said 13 cause the video says 13.
Well said buddy
That was some Jedi master shit right there. Thank you
it came out when I was 8 years old lmao
thanks for quote
✔️ yo no doubt. The cycle will continue and hopefully gain wisdom when they are older
This has been a prayer for me, one of the things that keeps me loving him even though he continues to hurt me. He's a good man, but he doesn't respect my boundaries, and it's been seven years of this.
If you can get therapy to build the tools you need to walk away. Build that confidence up because you deserve better.
