Very thorough instructions. It's good that you show how difficult that WiFi antenna is to get out. Some folks skip steps like that so it looks like they think they're more professional, but that's not the case in real life. Appreciate how well you use the camera angles and the zoom features too.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. A lot of people do that likely because they messed up, but people see it as more entertaining. I get people telling me to fast forward and cut parts out. They don't see the value in what I do because they are just watching for fun.

By far the best instructions out there. I used the ifixit guide and this video, took it really slow, and it went pretty flawless. I love how you focus not on just the disassembly which is usually the easier part but gave very specific and clear tips on how to reassembly especially with some of those smaller fiddly connectors. Thanks!

Thank You. Never had tackled any DIY projects with my electronic items. Made sure I had the right replacement screen and the tools before I started. Took me a little less than 90 minutes with the help of this video. My WiFi antenna wasn't too difficult and it really helped knowing that there was a little strip of adhesive underneath it.
The only "challenge" I had was the video didn't do a good job showing how the hinge separated from the base. It took me a little while to play with it before it came apart and then I understood how it all fit together. Saved me some serous $$$. Again, Thank You!
Glad it helped. You have to open the screen fully before undoing the screws and then let it fall to 90 degrees, then it can be lifted straight out. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos and possibly consider a small contribution to the channel. Thanks!
Great video. FYI. for those having an issue with unscrewing the Bracket on the WiFi connecting cables using a T3, use a T4 instead (which is what I had to do).
Use what fits best. Need good quality screwdrivers.
I just finished replacing my broken screen, and evertything was perfect thanks to you wonderful directions. Thank you so much.

@@ItsBinhRepaired bro yeah it does. Also, i subscribed too. Btw, idk if you have encountered this before. I bought a screen from amazon and when i replaced my broken one with your tutorial, i found that my screen isn't as bright as the last one. Have you encountered a problem like this before? If not Im probably going to return this replacement screen and buy another one from a different supplier. (Im from Canada)
@@SanjeetGupta235 hmmm not sure. Might be the screen itself

Very good video but I found it you open the big screws first before trying to remove wifi antenna it’s lot easier to take it out
Big screw?
good video :D ty you
No problem
how to enable true tone on macbook air m1 after display replacement ????
You didn't get a screen that supports it.
23:46 it’s T4 NOT T3 in case someone gets frustrated
Don't strip it with the t3 hopefully
Do you need the threadlocker glue for this replacement? Is it required or is it okay to not use it since I don’t own any.
Not necessary, but nice to have
Where can i buy an aftermarket screen replacement? Do you have suggestions? Any perceivable difference in quality
These usually work well amzn.to/3PrK6Lw
Is this 3rd party screen worth saving $50-60 vs the used oem screen assemblies i see for $240? Looks like the texture is coarser on the 3rd party lid which is one downside. Is there a noticeable difference in screen quality? high and low brightness? i wonder is true tone is also disabled when switching even to an oem screen. Thanks for any input
Truetone would be disabled even with another genuine screen as far as I know, though I don't notice much difference. You'd have to have them side by side or remember the last time you used it vividly. Lol
Are you using an apple display to replace or third party? Would a third party display work for replacement
This amzn.to/3SjFdqE
can the M1 macbook air be used without the screen? I remember years ago that macs would have the BT and Wifi antennas in the screen do they still have those in there? thanks great video
The answer you seek is in the video, just take a peek. Lol But I don't know if Apple decided to be an asshole on this model like they did on the other newer ones where they disable external displays if they detect something is wrong with the screen.
@@ItsBinhRepaired yeah I had been reading about that. Thanks 🙏
@@manuelhernandez6801 you can try disconnecting the lvds cable before you remove the whole screen
Which head did you use for the black screws?
I didn't mention it in the video?
I replaced my screen but it will not power on now. Is there something I should check?
Did you plug the charger in?
Hey. Is the threadlocker necessary? About to do the replacement and don’t have any here with me.
Nah
Could you please provide a link where you got the screen from
Here you go amzn.to/46brU1Z
Thank you very much… After two weeks I’ve noticed a litros disalignment of the screen (less than 1milimeter) do i have to remove all the screws once again?
Just loosen the hinge screws
Thankyou once again!!!
@@joaqvar no problem
I got to 15:40 but the six screws won’t budge at all with the t8 that came with the screen replacement. I also used another one that I ordered from eBay few days ago. Do you think the screwdriver is bad quality or some other issue?
Is the screwdriver spinning around in the screw? Sounds like you might not be turning hard enough.
@@ItsBinhRepaired I ordered a better T8 screwdriver and it worked! Turns out the one that the screen replacement came with wasn’t good. I was able to replace my screen successfully so I liked the video!!
@Tingus Pingus awesome! If you haven't already, don't forget to subscribe as well so others can find my videos. Thanks!
Great video. Liked and subscribed!
I am noticing a small clicking sound when I open the screen all the way(more than 90 degree). Anyone have the same issue? Did I tighten the hinges too much or alignment issue?
With a new screen?
@@ItsBinhRepaired sorry, yes - with the new replacement screen
@@mavuhrik might be faulty bad hinge
at 7:05 do you think the creases on the cable gonna be a issue in the future ? I'm currently noticing 2 creases on the ribbon cable in my new MacBook Air so kinda worried about it 😭
If it works, it should be ok.
@@ItsBinhRepaired yeah it works fine now , no display issue but over time is it gonna crack suddenly due to lid opening and closing ?
@@IqbalHossain-vg8vr no, the cable doesn't move.
I hope you can help me.. so I swap my broken display from my macbook air m1 with another original macbook air m1 display.. and the problem is that I don't have true tone, the camera works, auto brightness works, it's all good until we talk about true tone function.. do you believe that true tone must be programed just like on iPhone? Did you ever find that problem when you replaced screens on m1 macs?
Possibly. Maybe the aftermarket ones do some workaround
@@ItsBinhRepaired yes but the thing is that I replaced the screen with an original one, i had two macbooks air..
@@ItsBinhRepaired i heard something like I can try to make a PRAM reset or something like that.. maybe that will fix
I think Apple software locks it. The aftermarket screens likely they do something to get around that lock.
@@ItsBinhRepaired so the oem display don't need any kind of programing or data transfer from the old display to the new one ( just like on iphone )
Congratulations on the video, I made the change but the camera doesn't work....what can I do?
You might have gotten the wrong model screen. Confirm your serial number and model on the bottom of your MacBook
@@ItsBinhRepaired thanks for answering! The screen is correct, I formatted it and the video still didn't come back, I saw on some forums that it might be necessary to register with the smc...
@@rubenscruz910 shouldn't be. Might be a faulty replacement.
Could you give a full list of the tools needed so I can order them along with the screen?
amzn.to/3K7N7jH this has them all
Here's the screen amzn.to/3U00Dud
What is the difference between this screen replacement video and the other video you have of replacing the 13.3’ 13’ A2337 MacBook Air replacement. They’re both A2337, so I’m a bit confused as to what the difference between the two is.
One is newer lol
@@ItsBinhRepaired Makes sense! Thanks for your videos. I just finished up replacing my screen because of your detailed instructions.
@@krishpatel1634 glad it helped :)
Will True Tone the camera and back light keyboard still work ?
@@tonni-annhaughton9340 if you make sure to get one compatible.
Where did you get the screen ?
Here amzn.to/3TI0pGR
Can I use a A2388 screen On a A2337 ?
No. You'll want to check what sellers list as compatible.
True Tone still works?
Yup
Watching this 20 minutes after i accidentally broke my screen 😢
Hope you're able to repair it
What are the red glue you put on the nail ?
amzn.to/3elEXrA
Those are screws. Nails are used with hammers btw.
@@ItsBinhRepaired thank you
Yup
what is that red thing?
What red thing?
the thing that You put it on the screws when you were assembling the new screen
Threadlocker
the wireless antenna screw is not coming out and i am using a t3 on it
Is the screw turning? If not, your screwdriver is the wrong size or broken.
@@ItsBinhRepaired i just previously removed the lcd connector with the t3 and the screwdriver set is completely new
@@ItsBinhRepaired no the screw isn't turning i forgot to answer your question
@@Chris-mv9bd then you have to turn it harder. If the screwdriver isn't gripping, find one that does. Not really rocket science. You can only remove a screw by turning it counterclockwise.
Don't use one that's wobbly in the screw head or it can strip the top
“Make sure not to hit this cable” right after I hit the cable 😭 I just ruined my fuckin macbook cs of u
Which cable?
I only saw you using the T3 and t5
?
For what?
I don't think that the wireless thing or idk the name was necessary to remove...
If you want to break yours, go ahead and try without removing it.
