As an x owner of a stock 07 SI and a current owner of a stock 17 FiST, I can tell you the FiST is faster and has much more usable torque. Once you add mods to either car, of course that changes the variables. Also not using winter tires helps lol. Definitely miss my 8th gen and was looking for one in good shape for years.Its hard to settle on a used one when you drove yours off the showroom floor with only 3 milea on it!! I had a Colbalt in between the 8th gen and the FiST and got totalled by a truck who didnt check his mirror before switching lanes as I was passing him. At that point I needed a car immediately and couldn't wait for an acceptable 8th gen or even 9th gen to come around. So I ended up with the FiST. No regrets, great car, better torque, way more fuel efficient than the 8th gen if you stay off the turbo. But, the 8th gen will always have a place in my heart and I have 10 years of great memories in one. I watch Gerb because his early videos reminds me of the excitement I had when discovering how awesome and underrated of a vehicle it is even in stock form. I now live vicariously through Gerb. However, if you have the means and come across a FiST in good shape, I highly recommend you get one!
I can definitely agree with you on that. He let me drive the little st and I have to tell you, the torque and handling are amazing! I love my 8th gen, but it has a hard time competing against turbo cars. I even watch my own older vids on when I first bought the car. I appreciate you though! And after driving the fiesta, It made me want one! Maybe when I start my new career in the next year. I will have something turbo ;)

But if you have to get rid of the 8th gen to get a new car - I can promise you - you will enjoy your new car, but you will miss hitting that vtech bouncing off the limiter at 8k!!!!! Hey man, I just bought a civic si 2008. This thing rips! its has some mods but still NA. Kinda curious what it makes on the dyno. Anyway, I think my K20Z3 would test your K24. Its is also a coupe but red.
He should have left the factory aluminum wheels on it, my guess is they are lighter. Less unsprung weight = better acceleration. The Fiesta makes a GREAT rally car. 2004 Ford Crown victoria Cop car.(Borla H pipe cat back exhaust, a drop in K and N air filter... no tune).. let race! That way folks know how fast their cars are compared to an older cop car.. (Like if you want to see that folks.) Edit: ( Still waiting to hear back from Gerb)
Gerb can you try and race a Scion FR-S, Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ, or some of the other main competitors. I got myself a Jetta sport, I'm planning on getting a tune sometime soon where it gives me 70+ hp and around 100TQ+. Great videos bro!
He can run e30 tune without the aftermarket intercooler. I was dizzy tuned e30 with stock intercooler. Set catalogs back to Jason at dizzy and he said my car was running flawlessly. He’s the one that told me stock IC is fine

Ran a 2015 Ford St in my wife’s FG2. He had stage 2 tune, intake. I pulled over 1/2 a car on him by the quarter with a 30mph start. Mods are, FBO k20z3 with RDX throttle body and vitviper tune.

Pitty you guys don't get the best Focus ST over the water lol. 5pot and sounds nasty also be a more suited race. Although I'm fully tuned out and run 400bhp. It won't be as quick as a k20 at 350 most likely as power to weight but with heated leather Recaros it helps here in Scotland lol👌🏻👌🏻🤣
Your lucky your in the states, I'd race race you in my 1984 Mitsubishi GSR Cordia Turbo 15 psi 300fwhp 950kg Antilag launch control and boost by gear with Bridgestone potenza re003's . If only you were in Australia .

either your tune is off or your engine is at minimum health. you should be pulllinnggggg on that ST. Watch my video i race a focus ST with a healthy k20z3 only intake and exhaust i ended ahead by a bumper by 4th gear

They weight about the same, 15 inch aluminium wheels or magnesium will be alot better for acceleration and less rotation weight
