Nice of you to help a fellow fisherman out. I have never fished that side of the US but, if I lived someplace where I could catch my own salmon I would eat my weight in it. You caught a couple of beauties there. Hello from FL!
Awesome catches brother! And what a beautiful day. Thank you for sharing these tips. I just went fishing for the first time in saltwater and might hit up this spot next. LIKED & SUB'D!!! 👍👍
@@JoshHoines do you get the emails for the area? you can get it personalized and its helped me out of some tickets and jams. that area is still open as well as B.H. bay for kings. I got the word in there emergency rule change emails. nice job anyway, good camerawork to. R.
Ive done well about 2 weeks into October. The fish seem to be a bit late this year so I think it might still be decent. Actually caught fish right up to Halloween before.
@@Kodachrome I was wearling glove because some of the time i was fishing a herring under a float, and the herring brine was blue, juat keeping it off. Head towards Coupeville, Ft Casey, that area is open for Coho
Looks like a beautiful spot to fish...thanks for the tip too about reeling it in fast; never knew that! Looking forward to the next vid!
Was 5 for 10 in an hr and a half at West Beach casting and retrieving cured cut plugs on Sept 27th this year. Had to release 4 cause they were wild.
Man. I've always wondered about fishing deception pass area! Thanks for the upload

It's a great spot to fish I was just there last Friday me and friends pick up a couple, but I used herring and we missed 4 .🎣
Nice job Josh!!
Fantastic Josh, so cool!!! Got a prototype that needs some work :)
Thanks Russ! It was a blast. I planning on getting out there another time or 2 before the end of the week.
Where are you fishing this year. Looks like deception is closed?
Nice trout😂
Ever fished there around this time of year?
Well done 🐟👍
Thanks!

Hi Josh, my son and I are planning in fishing here sometime over the summer. Any ideas on the fishing through the summer in this are mid-July? Thanks!
Do you let it sink long?
@@BilboSandbaggins about a 5 second count before I start the retrieve
Nice. Is a rotator the same as a buzz bomb?
Its very similar. Its a little wider and flatter.
Hello there, hopefully I can still get your answers... what's the size of the rotator that you're using? 2.5" or 3.5"? Thanks in advance
I use 2 and 2.5 inch
Could you also jig the rotator or buzz bomb?
A rotator is very similar.
Do you ever jig these or just retrieve fast
For coho I just retrieve
Will this catch pinks as well?
@@BilboSandbaggins For pinks I do jig back on the retrienve
What Tide do you recommend?
What bait / lure r u using
Coho or pink salmon fishing in the ocean is so damn fun
isn't there a size on pinks? i thought it's 22 or is it 16 inches
These are coho, not pinks.
As far as minimum size, there is no size limit on pinks, nor is there on coho. Chinook min size is 22 when its open for them.

You think October will be good as well? Or just September.

How's 2021 looking. Is it closed this year? What area you thinking of fishing. I subscribed. Looking forward to some other vids.
When do these coho start showing up?
They can start showing mid August. Mid to late September though is best. This year though the area i was fishing in the video is closed.
@@JoshHoines is there anywhere in deception pass that's open for coho? we are heading up next week...I can't find regs that are that specific.
also I'm curious do you wear the gloves to keep the human scent off the lure?
