dude i love that pops is getting more involved and into it lately like either hes having more fun or just feeling better either ways its awesome to see
and I thought that it was his brother when I first saw him on that 700-Nitro Express video, until it was mentioned that it's his father. Dude looks damn good for his age.
Dude, as a father myself the thing I love the most is watching Scott low key trying to impress his father still, and his father in turn still being there to give Scott an atta boy for his efforts. Good healthy father son stuff right there and just goes to show the importance of a great role model!
Dude, as far as I'm concerned, this is the comment of the decade! It's a shame that it hasn't received more likes! This comment really shows what is lacking in our society today. Too many idiots and too few idols out there these days. Cheers
theyll block stuff if a sonw loose gravel gets thrown up under them but theyre not exactly designed for more than what driving on roads might do to the underbody. so standard road hazards but thats the most you should expect
Hands down best father son duo out there. It’s easy to see how much fun you both have doing these videos. Thank you for answering a question I never had…haha awesome video. Keep ‘em coming.
Been watching Kentuck Ballistics for a long time. This is the first Kentucky Customs vid. I've watched. I love it. Been thinking about doing my '99 Pathfinder in bedliner. This vid convinced me I should. Thanks Scott!
I have an 07 Tahoe and did the same with mine. I used Raptor liner instead and it’s tinted to my factory paint code so I didn’t have to worry about the jambs. It DEFINITELY takes a beating. No hail dents ever again! 🤣
@@ralphllivrah9551 it’s holding up remarkably well honestly. I’m actually looking for another 4x4 because I already bought the Raptor. The shiny paint stays on my Mercedes, everything else is getting raptor/or equivalent sprayed in the future though.
@@gregkrueger331 How much is it to get it done? How long have you had it on? Im looking at doing it for my tacoma because its paint scratches easily. Instead of getting the paint corrected for it to happen again in the future, this could be the way to go. I know it can harm the resale value as well.
@@Jtwizzle my son an I did it ourselves. I probably have about $7-$800ish in materials. I sprayed it about 3 years ago and we live north of Chicago in the salt belt and is holding up beautifully. That’s actually the reason i did it, my woods have tons of low branches and brush and I’m kinda anal with my paint being clean and corrected and it wasn’t happening with the truck lol. What’s cool about it is you can mix in metallics so that’s what i did, nothing tacky but there’s a nice sheen when it’s clean, Almost satin.
I think what this shows most of all, is that it's great to have a vehicle where you don't care about the paint finish. As long as the finish isn't special and you can easily repair it, that's most important. Great show Scott and Scott!
I used to have a 2003 Chevy Silverado with 4wd and the sprayed on bedliner that was in the bed actually held up for a long time! And I hauled all kinds of crap back there! Too bad the truck didn't outlast the bedliner
Hey Scott and Scott. Next time get some slow motion footage for every shot just like u do on Kentucky Ballistics. That would be interesting to see for every shot. Not to mention how much slow mo would compliment all the other things u do on this channel. I know you use it sometimes but I for one would like to see it more. Anyway I love the dynamic you two have. It’s great to see a father and son get along like you do. You two are very blessed. Keep it up and keep on inspiring us all
Another thing to think about is any time the bed liner peeled the paint was stuck to it so it's technically the paint was failing not the bed liner. Would you have different results if it was applied to bare metal?
I use to spray Rhino liner for Ziebart and we had to take the paint off, I can tell you it makes a huge difference in how well these products stick. I prepped my jobs so well that I would have to heat the bed up to almost 200 degrees to get the Rhino liner off. Let's say I screwed up on a part of it or the customer wasnt happy then I'd have to peel it all off and redo it. If it's prepped right, you dont want to take that stuff off 😂 Its a nightmare.

Hey Scott try shooting a shotgun and a 22 at the bed liner side not point blank but at a bit of distance and maybe shooting down the sides, love it great video 👍
Love the stress testing of the bed liner. How about seeing how tough a Ranchhand front bumper is and whether it will set off airbags when you run into somthing say 12 point buck size. I already know what running into a 6 point buck does to a regular truck bumper. $9k later i have a new front end and a Ranchhand front bumper. I wanna know if it was woth it getting the thing.
wrap your vehicle in 24k gold leaf, and see how it does. Maybe a gold wrapped school bus? that would be epic! honestly though, just love seeing pops involved! Also that was a great test for duraback
I used to shoot muzzleloaders down in Friendship, Indiana. There was a guy down there who drove an old Toyota Pickup that was COMPLETELY coated in spray on bed liner - rust included. It looked like the bed liner was holding the whole thing together, like the only thing left of the body panels on that thing WAS the bed liner!
If i may suggest it: if you'd every get a hyundai, i'd say get an early model getz(starting '03 until '05) these run fine without oil for multiple days(i had that with mine, a 1.6i '04) and when you add and refresh the oil after a few days it doesn't even show damage in metal flakes!
Golf course near my house has a tee off right by the road and people always try to blare the horn as people swing.. lol we even slow down our vehicles so we can time it right during their swing properly..😁
I have never heard of that coating but dads truck had the rynoliner and it was tough stuff and never had to fix any of it for over 20 years. That was threw hail and a tornado and cows in the pasture.
We have a saying in the UK, 'sticks like shit to a blanket'. This stuff certainly seems to. It seems VERY adhesive to the paint underneath. It seems only a sharp metal edge such as a key or the axe blade at a glancing blow gets through. Impacts that dent the metal and the stuff just sticks and stretches without cracking. Two of the highlights were Scott's dad breaking the shovel and standing on the roof doing monkey impressions with the breeze block. What a dad!!!
Hey man got an idea for you...what if you took a door panel from a car and coated the heck out of it...multiple coats and then got after the testing. Also flex seal may be a good coating! Thanks for the content
Mythbusters tested rhino liner, layered on a building, vs explosives. Significantly hardened it against bomb damage. Even when a simulated IED took the control building down to the floor, the rhino lined building remained "intact" despite significant damage to the structural materials inside the rhino lined walls
7:08 I have a museum 1984 ltd I purchased off the original owner. It's only flaw was 1 door ding in the passenger side. While I registered it at the DMV some SOD keyed the drivers door in the county seed parking lot. Many and unpleasant thoughts has gone out to that individual.

The best father and son Duo a person can ask for on a Sunday God bless you guys thanks for the video the smiles and the laughter
Well since you asked, I've always wondered how much those undercarriage skid plates really protect all that underneath stuff.

I would say a double coating or just a thicker one would make a decent difference considering how well it did already. I’m impressed!
