Sounds like you enjoyed the bike a bunch. I think the CF Moto brand is fairly well proven in the US with their side by side business having been here for years. I am glad to see a budget option to the rest of the brands.
I can't say I'd be keen to go to another bike without cruise on it. I've had my Ibex 800T for over a year now. It's a great road touring bike and does better than I can on gravel with a set of shinko e804/e805 on it. To be fair, the quickshifter sucks.
I can tell you I have over 2,000 miles with 2/3 or so being gravel and minimum maintenance roads, since i live in Minnesota and most of our country roads are gravel. I really enjoy this bike for what it is! Good on road and off road manners. Just really needs a good set of tires, I am running the Dunlop Raids and they work just fine. There are things I would like on it but then it would cost more. Having cruise control, heated seat and grips is a big bonus at this price range.
I love my Ibex. Got almost 12k miles on her now. She and I had a little mis-hap at Soggy Bottom this year, I bounced off a tree. Only damage was to the headlight and the black trim piece under the nose. Solid performing machine!
Love mine! Got trailmax raids on it and does great for our Minnesota minimum maintenance roads! Needs a wind screen extender to remove buffeting. I added a switch to disable ABS. The 2 hour ride to dirt is comfortable and love the ergonomics!
In S. California which is a huge market, CF Moto is in a few dealerships next to Japanese, Italian and Austrian.. so you are going to be able to see features and quality right next to one another.. that is a level of confidence that is cool
I was just at a demo day for CFMoto. Definitely impressed by their bikes. Best thing to do is get on one before deciding they are janky. The IBEX was a very solid bike and I enjoyed riding all their bikes. Demo days are dope!
Thanks Ben for this awesome quick video on this ibex. I’ve been looking at these bikes for a little while ,I am a Honda man. Nice to see the other bikes that are coming down the pipe thank you cheers.
This bike comes loaded with the creature comforts other companies charge extra for. I might be doing 100 mile commutes for work next year and really interested in this bike.
just fyi: the sussers likely feel stiff due to being set for 75-80kg rider from factory, you will no doubt be in the area of the sussers where they are ramping up their feedback due to your build
I should have brought mine there. I could have gone over with you on what I've experienced on it. Would have been fun to have borrowed my buddies klr and had you ride my Ibex. Rain mode for going off highway makes just enouph difference in acceleration to be more controlled in cornering without breaking loose so easy. But then the loose nut behind my throttle usage, is really the problem lol. I've had mine over the Bethal ridge part of section 2 WABDR twice now and it's so much nicer riding it than my wr250r.
Honestly because of the options you can get (luggage and what not that can be rolled into a loan, if you like to finance) with the bike and the seemingly surprising reliability, I’d consider getting one of these for commuting / touring if the price were right.
Ben, would like to see review of the 450 engine model & may be a real review test of the Kawasaki Versys 350 X. I think with the right mods like bash plate, crash bars, mirrors, etc., that most bike add on that this 300X would be a fun low key adv / touring / explorer bike.
Seem like decent bikes so far. I'm sure they'll take a hold in the market place soon enough. If your choice is not being able to afford a new bike unless you buy one of these compared to not getting one at all then I guess that's reason enough it's just that I wouldn't personally buy one. Personal preference.
How much does weight matter for off road? Model - weight @ hp 300 rally - 330 @ 28 whp 390 adv - 360 @ 36 whp 450 ibex - 430 @ 38 whp T7 - 450 @ 60 whp Ibex 800 - 500 @ 90 whp ~ So the ktm 390 adv and cfmoto 450, bikes generally thought of as decent performing bikes, have the same weight to hp ratio, .09, as well as good equipment for most of us with around 400lbs of weight. That 800 though... 500 lbs seems a bit much but it's not far from other middleweight adv bikes. So does that weight matter? What do you think?
I demo’d an Ibex 800 MT last year with the intention of making a purchase. The throttle was so very bad that day I couldn’t justify spending almost $12k out the door. Is it any better?
@@L8TrSkUmBaG so on big rock motor’s channel, I saw in the comment section from multiple people that CFmoto has a EC flash that is supposed to fix that issue. They said once that was done, the bike was magical!
I don't know why people are saying it's a KTM clone. The ONLY thing similar is the engine, that's it! In the UK they come with a 4 year warranty, not sure what you get in the US. If I was in the market for a new bike, it would be high on the list.
A used one in the 450 to 600cc range. If you're looking at bikes like this there are a handful of bikes in the 10k range that you will need to decide on personal preference. There is a lot going on with this Ibex and the new 2025 800E model is a lot of motorcycle for the money. If they are reliable at all then the 800E model will be my future BDR bike.
There are some things that you can only get from China, including the tablet I'm using to write this. Whenever possible I try to spend my money with countries that have a better record. Japan makes some decent bikes😎
So you’ll trust China with your phone which is a necessity but not your motorcycle? I’ll bet $100 your bike has China made parts on it. Or is only if the bike is made in China
over here in the UK i have yet to meet an owner who is not over the moon, same with folks i know in europe - a friend of mine has 52k happy and trouble free miles on his
I checked these out local dealer. My only real complaint is the cheesy buttons. They feel like a plastic toy. They feel like total crap. I’m not sure about longevity. Otherwise it seems like a good package for the money.
Yep and they make parts for your bike as well. Cf moto is going to be the next big thing. May not have the fit and finish but can do 90% of much more expensive bike can.
CF moto is really crap and they make crap bikes….im a Nigerian who has lived in China for over 6 years and I’ve had the opportunity to ride a lot of CF moto bikes, ranging from the 250sr, Nk 250, 450sr, Nk450, 450mt, 800mt (Nk800 & 800mt uses KTM scrapped Engines to build theirs 😢) and so…the reliability is zero compared to Japanese bikes and so on…..all I can say is never buy a CF moto please
Chinese bikes are really really cheap no doubts…but motorcycles manufacturers in China don’t give that torque feeling/ features on their motorcycle because they care about the riders safety, there’s a saying in China : 安全第一(safety first)

Good thing about the ibex it has cruise control, heated seats, grips, and quick shifter.
Bingo the other manufacturers really need to keep an eye on the value for what you get
I can't say I'd be keen to go to another bike without cruise on it. I've had my Ibex 800T for over a year now. It's a great road touring bike and does better than I can on gravel with a set of shinko e804/e805 on it. To be fair, the quickshifter sucks.

I've been curious about this bike. Thanks!
LOVE my 2022 CFMOTO CL-X Heritage, and cannot wait until I get the opportunity to pick up an Ibex 800 of my own!
Very interested in the CF Moto review. Thanks!!
Good stuff.
This bike comes loaded with the creature comforts other companies charge extra for. I might be doing 100 mile commutes for work next year and really interested in this bike.
I'd love to see a CFMoto Ibex vs Transalp video.
Cf Moto doing some good things 👍
Smashed the Like button for you, Dork!
I'd love to get one for the road. We love our 600 touring 4 wheeler.
I got the mt800/ibex800 love it…i put an ABS off button on it from throttle punk.

How was the seat height? Did you have any trouble getting your feet down?
Yes, I would buy this over the Talp.
I think I'm waiting on the 2025 800E model and then picking that up over the Talp.

They're releasing an X version which will have the KTM rally tanks which should be interesting.

Model - weight @ hp
300 rally - 330 @ 28 whp
390 adv - 360 @ 36 whp
450 ibex - 430 @ 38 whp
T7 - 450 @ 60 whp

Our boy @Chaseontwowheels has the ABS Delete on his Ibex 800! i can tell you first hand it helps a LOT off road
@@ThePattyRick only rear ABS? I put the switch from Throttle Punks on mine but it kills the ABS as a whole. I’m intrigued!

Doesn’t the button on the left mirror turn off the abs on the fly like the 450
That button is for the fog lights. You cannot turn off ABS on this bike.
what is the cheapest starter dirt bike i could get?

10k is a lot especially when it says cf moto on it i do think it looks cool and thats half the battle 🖒
The explore I paid 10k for is for sure worth it in features alone
Recipe for hate great album .
IMO, I’d rather have the Transalp instead.
Doesn’t have a quarter of the features
