One issue I have is Yellowfinger invading and so I usually have to suicide back at undead berg so that im not embered going through the swamp later on, I have no idea how to not get him to spawn because as soon as i grab the stamina shield he starts invading
To get rid of any red npc phantom invasions, If youre playing from pc then you need to go to offline mode of steam. (in offline mode hours arent counted and you dont have any access to steam servers). I have this little procedure in my all bosses no dlc tutorial if you need it.
It will not be very different but if we speak of speed better to use 1.08 patch. So from Gravewarden's ashes you will buy 3 Carthus rouge and will use it only on Dancer and Sulyvahn's beast on bridge in order to get Pontiff's right eye and on Crystal Sage. For sage i honestly cannot tell you consistent strat, cause bleed does not proc that often as on 1.08 patch, so either you want to parry him maybe twice and then full combo or just wait until he does soulmass. Then before yhorm you pick up as usually 2 Pale pine resins, and also after Dungeon skip you go to the right, first cage on the right side, and pick up Xanthous Ashes (those will give infinite Gold Pine Resin and bundles). Yhorm is obviously same. For Pontiff with +3, 33 dex you apply not bleed but pale pine resin (2nd pale pine as usually you will use on DSA) + you will have pontiff's right eye for extra damage. And then once you go for +6 upgrade, you give Handmaiden Xanthous ashes and instead of Carthus rouge you buy Gold pine resin how much you need (usually if you dont die you need only 3, max 4) and bundles (for Aldrich fight, approximately 4-5 should be enough). So Aldrich - bundles, Dancer - bleed, DSA - pale pine, Princes - gold pine, Cinder - 2x gold pine. Also on current patch 43 dex will be useless cause on 1.08 it saves one last hit on dancer. So just go for max 40 dex and other lvlups better to use in vigor.
AI disable didnt work because if you disable it while they are in an action they repeat the same action over and over. With bosses its more noticable because its literally same attack but for aldrich deacons it was the same attack they would be doing anyways.
If you speak of practice tool, then theres a button "P" which moves you immediately to main menu no matter what. But it prohibited to be used in actual runs. So only for practicing

hey man, just have a question, Im trying this on patch 1.15, did they just remove that ''safe file quit'' u did at the ending of the bossfight? I mean, I just want to practice the bossfight then I quit before he completely dies in the animation you know? but when I return into game the bossfight is still going, is there something im missing? sorry
Honestly cannot tell you, cause ive never used this way of practicing bosses. I can recommend you downloading SpeedSouls Save Organizer and it will make your practice way easier, cause it manages all savefiles youve created. It will work obviously only on PC.(Save Organizer link is in description) If you run on console, theres still way of making savefiles, you will just need any USB-drive, but how to make them i cannot tell you as well, cause ive never tried :). But you definitely can ask in Speedsouls discord (channel #ds3-help)
That's VERY helpful thank you ! Might be a dumb question but... Is there a way to guarantee to get normal R1 after parrying instead of riposte ? I mean beside not being directly in front of the boss, because sometimes i get ripostes from weird angles it's so annoying
Im playing with controller and whenever i dont want to riposte i try to firstly pull stick to the side (left or right, doesnt matter really) and then start attacking. You can make couple of steps to the side and then press R1 to make sure dead angling works. I strongly recommend just trying it out with practice tool “no damage” mod turned on so you feel comfortable with it later in actual runs.
the timing has to be so perfect to hit the charged r2 and 2 r1s for the first part of abyss, if i do the timing wrong, i run out of time on the fire paper and can no longer 4 shot the second abyss watcher, do you have any suggestions for me?

Everything needs to be practiced lots of times, especially watchers fight + its not scripted at all, but it doesnt mean that timing should be perfect. Light up bundle once you reach blood splat after entering boss arena. Then remember that in 99% of cases, if 1st watchers ends up with a dagger attack - he will chase you after. Even if you run out of bundle on 4th hit, it still will be enough to 4-shot 2nd watcher. If you hit him 2 times with bundle, just be sure that you need 5 hits in total so 2 with + 3 without. Thats all pretty much
There's something that I don't understand. At the road of sacrifices, while you are embered and running where the crabs are. The NPC invader never invades. Whenever I get to this point no matter what direction I go to I keep triggering the invader. What's the trick or is there no trick?
@@Flamefist360 in case of consoles, you need to quitout at certain point when you triggered heysel already, but still you can press quitout button. So you activate trigger and press quitout and it should be fine.
Once you switch to simple it should always be simple. The only thing - sometimes people can forget making savestates with detailed menu, so you need to switch it back after practice, but thats all
On 1.15 you can go for +4 instead of +3 after wolnir, and pale pine for Pontiff, also you can get Pontiff's right eye, and xanthous ashes to get gold pine resin after pontiff
is there a way to do quicksaves or something to practice certain zones or bosses? I do not know if I explain myself, deactivate automatic saving and make my saves as I need them to practice
What do you mean by saying auto saves? Usually to practice any stuff, and to do your own savefiles we use speedsouls save manager. But theres no things like auto saves and such

@@BrianNazzi Watch at 6:08 . I made a savefile for gundyr and at 8:00 and i loaded it back after i killed gundyr (you can see that on my liveplit igt it went from 4 minutes back 3 min 26s). Also yes, you can use your savestates how much you want, and make how much you want as well. Just be sure that if you switch to another patch you will need to make another savefiles for a certain patch. Strongly recommend to check the link on speedsouls wiki about Save Organizer (link in the description of the tutorial)
Since its glitchless tutorial, yeah all skips in this videos which are Fence Skip and Ladder Skip are doable from controller, but it will be less comfy of course, Fence skip should be really wanky but Ladder will be fine mostly. If you wanna do categories with glitches (unrestricted ones) then mostly no - you will need a keyboard and such + quitouts on consoles are slower for spook quitouts.

@@simple_most788 1.08 patch has more powerful carthus rouge. Bleed build up are way higher than on current patch, and that allows to bleed even those bosses which have huge resistances to bleed on current patch
Try to learn stamina management in this fight especially before 3rd bracelet and dont be greedy with quick kill. Better to lose 5-7 seconds and kill Wolnir with death animation than to lose a full run.
