    Quick spike tip, if you get finishing washers (they look like half a bagel) these are amazing for making spikes stand up without having a lot of corners that shred your clothes, I've used them on 1" and 1/2" tree spikes and those weird chunky 5/8" cone spikes, you can get a big box of them at home depot for like $4

    Keeper backs for enamel pins. For badges I'll either sew through the loop part of the safety pin back or use a safety pin through the loop from the inside of the vest.

    heres a fun maybe a bit unconventional but if you know how to crochet you can make the logo of your favorite band in filet crochet and then sew it on as the large back patch. in my experience 1-1.5 mm hooks and white thread looked nice when i tried it but maybe thats bcs all my patches are black and white

    Can you make a video tutorial on how to wear multiple belts, the best way to wear multiple belts combinations of studded belt along with bondage belts

    • @reptil_diy
      @reptil_diy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Definitely a good question. I typically only wear my studded belt and a bondage or a bullet belt layered over it. I wear my studded belt in my belt loops. With the bondage belt I catch the end through a single belt loop so it does not fall down/fall off. With the bullet belt I just keep a few bullet tips caught in a pocket so it doesn't fall off.
      I typically do not wear more than two belts but I know some punks go all out with three plus.
      I will look into making a short video in the future!

    Another button tip ive used if you dont want to use glue: there are earring backs that are a rubber/plastic, and they look like a little tube essentially. You can get a pack of like 50 for maybe 1-2 dollars i think. Gives me time to pop the pin back if i noticed it doesnt fall out. Place it on the piece that goes through.

      Stoked you found it.
      Most people paint logos onto leather( I have an older video set that's not too great)
      but If you're planning on sewing patches onto a leather kutte I would advise using a sewing machine with a leather needle. You can also hand sew with a leather needle and needle nose pliers as well but it's a pain. Alternatively some dry cleaning/embroidery shops will sew patches onto leather kuttes professionally, I know alot of bikers do this with their kuttes.

      For leather sewing, you can put on some rubber gloves! Sewed this way and it was really good. No pain, no poking in fingers, no sweaty fingers. I do this for years now with large backpatches and it works wonders.

I'll probly stick to bying since I have fear of getting in trubal and I'm a littal pussy when it comes to some thing's 😂.

    • @reptil_diy
      @reptil_diy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Studs or spikes? The liner I put in the vest in this video does a great job at securing studs.
      The lock-tite compound I talk about in the spike section of the video does a great job at securing screw back style spikes. I highly recommend both methods, there is time stamps in the video description

    Can I get all this stuff on Amazon ?

    • @reptil_diy
      @reptil_diy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I get my studs or spikes from studsandspikes.com, Amazon sells crap quality studs for outrageous markups, I would not recommend them or AliExpress.
      I handmake my patches(check the link in the description) but you can Google search patches of bands you like, or buy them at shows. Same goes for buttons.
      There are also a lot of online punk and metal distros/shops depending on your genre preference. Etsy occasionally has good merch stores depending on what kind of band you're looking for. Merch is pretty readily available for both punk and metal.
      Technically you could order a denim jacket on Amazon but I get mine at thrift stores or department stores for cheap.
