Some scandinavian fairy dust enters the channel again. She is like the northern lights, airy, floating and just pure magic. Aurora, just the name says it all.
I've known Aurora for about 4 years now and she was a big help through my spiritual awakening. I cried so much listening to "Through the eyes of a child".
This performance always completely breaks my heart, it was recorded May 26 2020, Silja's mother had passed away on the 24th. To create such beauty in such grief is so devastatingly beautiful to me as someone who knows the loss of a parent
Aurora is loved by metal fans and she loves metal herself. There is a natural connection. This is not least due to her personality and what she stands for. She also has elements of metal in some songs. She writes her songs from the heart and lives through her heart. She is someone who tackles, takes things into her own hands. She is a creator. She radiates inner peace. I think it also brings out longings from us metalheads. She can party and have fun. I think these are all overlaps. And it is very important that she has always been and has remained down-to-earth from the beginning. She goes her way incessantly. Where do you see something like this in the pop genre these days? Rarely. I would say Aurora is unique.
@@234i9 I didn't say she has elements in all her songs, but in some. And that's definitely the case. This becomes clear live at the latest. Elements are also not predominant but portional.
The first pure love song Aurora ever released. She had decided to not release it, as it felt too personal I think, but her own observations of humanity during lockdown made her change her mind as she thought every single one of us was deserving of a tiny bit of extra love during those times. 100% Aurora in other words.
It's reactions like this that confirm my belief that Aurora is not just a great contemporary artist, but she's an all-time great. She's different. My goodness, she's different. In all of the best ways. I'm in awe.
Aurora is one of those musicians whose entire being seems to made up by the fabric of music. It's as if, if the music were to fade away, they too would fade. And my god, it is the most beautiful thing in the world in my eyes. Every time I stumble across an artist like that, I can't help but cry. It's beyond what I feel I can accurately express with words.
As many viewers here, I am a metal head, and I LOVE Aurora. I basically love every music if it makes me feel something, and boy did Aurora reach my soul. When I heard that song for the first time, I just thought it was the most beautiful and perfect love song, and I stand by it. It is just pure and beautiful, and it makes me melt every single time. This song should be an anthem.
Of course we have our favorite genres, but no need to limit ourselves. I’m a huge 90s / 2000s hard rock / metal fan, but this was absolutely lovely. I only have one word to describe her GENIUS ❤️
A round of applause to the lady singing with Aurora 👏🏼 their intertwined voices gave me shivers and, as a woman in love myself, it brought happy tears to my face ❤
There is a remarkable live version of A different kind of human recorded during this same session. Silja, The other female vocals in this song had just lost her mother a few days earlier and a different kind of human just hit the feels knowing that. Silja's backup vocals in many of Aurora's songs are just beautiful. The term Backup singer just doesn't give her enough credit. Its like a lead guitarist calling the bass a backup. I love both their voices so much and i think Silja Sol's vocals were so perfectly complimentary. She always matched note for note where she needed to be. Its like she was in Aurora's head at times.
I had never heard of Aurora before, until 2 years ago, we went to a Duran Duran concert, and she was a support artist, and she was just gorgeous, I'm just hooked on her music. She has such a beautiful voice.

@@tx0hThat's actually not my favorite performance. I prefer the Verftet Online Music Festival 2020 or the Somewhere Else Festival performance.
I'm definitely here for rock and metal, but I also just love good music, and Aurora is very very good.
This woman is either a real angel, or about as close as the human race will know in our time! I mean, who is she!? Pure beauty. Soft and powerful. Kind, but real. Serious, but super silly! How do you not fall in love with Aurora.
Aurora made me fly to Trondheim to se her in concert in november 2022. And wow!! She was amazing.I just love this young unique artist. Thank you for a great reaction.❤❤❤❤❤❤
