Please invite AURORA for a high tea on the channel, she would definitely come on. She is all in for everything small and yet to be discovered potential: She enjoys collaborating with starting artists the most, even organizing a full online event just to provide a boost in their careers (Exist For Love Sessions). She loves the smaller venues and gigs, like when she performed a completely restyled version of warrior for an audience of three (Haik). And she loves the smaller media stations, giving the first opportunities to interview her to local radio stations and hobby podcast makers. You would get an immediate "YESSS!" and lots of appreciation in a way only AURORA could give when receiving an invitation for an online high tea 🍵🍪 I think her favorite tea was mentioned in the interview with Triple J about her Books & Tea Ssssshhhhelffff...
I’m a 59 year old biker, into heavy metal, and death metal, I went to see Aurora in my local town, and when she was singing, you could have heard a pin drop, every hair on my body was on its end. She was amazing!
It's insane how authentic this performance is. By her own admission, she was very scared at this concert. But she wasn't nervous about her performance. She was nervous around large groups of people. But she was absolutely fearless in her performance. I've honestly never seen anything like it.
Aurora does like her tea...here is a little tea party she had th-cam.com/video/XLSggL94-4I/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Kenzo you can get a real feel for how her mind works
She absolutely does give the best interviews ... But where would you end a chat such as that... she also has a delightful sense of humour, In the interviews I've seen ...
I’m 65 years old, though out my life I have lost count of the many artists I’ve seen perform live in concerts,I have now had the pleasure of seeing Aurora live twice and I can honestly say that she is without doubt the best live performer I’ve ever heard no one has ever moved my emotions like Aurora.this performance for me is the best live performance by anyone period.and I have no hesitation of saying that as a singer songwriter she is in my top 3 of all time, she simply is the essence of what the art of music should be all about, she is so special an artist a vessel that shares her words of poetry that becomes a medicine for everyone who hears them but more than that I don’t think she even realises how special she is she’s just a young woman who’s songs her children as she likes to call them fill her life with so much joy,I’m just blessed to have them in my life ❤️
I do agree - not usually my style of music - BUT this life performance is for me the gold standard. It amazes me what an artist like Aurora is capable of doing, what her potential is - she probably didn't even had to be taught on how to sing. All of this is the definition of true genius. that sets her apart from ordinary humans like myself. Most people live their life "to survive", very few have the privilege of a "meaningful" life, in a sense to make a difference to many other humans. Aurora is certainly one of the few.
Same age here. Unfortunately I found her and that she’s performing here in Denver too late as her concert is sold out. I’ll keep trying as I feel seeing her live would be amazing. I saw another reaction video where the viewer was mentioning Aurora being up on her toes as not being a good thing. I appreciate Elizabeth’s comment to the opposite.
I’m in my late 50s and feel the same. I’ve now seen her three times and she’s the only artist I’ve gone overseas to see. I’ve seen so many great bands and performers (and I’m a musician and songwriter myself), but she has eclipsed everyone I’ve ever seen live, even bands and artists I had previously considered my favourites. Only Sandy Denny and Kate Bush come close as artists, for me.
From my experience It's really not uncommon for metalheads to like music like this or singers like Aurora. Unique sounding and clearly talented musicians are easy to like when that's often what you value in metal too.
The guitarist/ co singer is Odd Martin Skålnes, he also co wrote the song with Aurora and produced it on her album. They have worked with each other for years and he has co written and produced a bunch of her songs. He was a member of her band but left to follow his own career but they still work together from time to time, he laid some guitar on her latest album =)
@@agdtec On this very channel Elizabeth did a reaction video covering "It Happened Quiet", and in that video Silja Sol is the one accompanying Aurora, if I'm not mistaken.
@@TheCharismaticVoice Aurora did a warmup act before at least one of Odd Martin Skålnes performances when she was 16-17, then he later joined her "band" instead 🙂 If you like the harmonies in this song, they are even better, much better, in the a cappella version of "Through The Eyes Of A Child" Stripped (Vevo UK LIFT): youtu . be / CFzExUN1N8I It is a 2016 performance on her main channel.
@@TheCharismaticVoice You speak of Aurora creating magic, you should check out this magical performance without any instruments, just Aurora's voice and the voices of 3 of her band members doing incredible harmonies. She even looks like a magical creature here, like an elf straight out of the Golden Woods of Lothlórien: Through The Eyes Of A Child (Live) - Stripped (Vevo UK LIFT) The song is her original about remembering to keep your inner child, and about when you grow older and learn more about the world, you might wish to be an innocent child again.
My favorite comment I heard about this performance, paraphrased is: 'Only a Viking could sing a murder song at a Peace Prize Concert'. I know that Aurora considers this a love song.
Such a beautifully sung song. I know she considers it a love song, but it’s bizarre. Same reason that lady drowned her kids, out of “love and mercy”. So I don’t really agree with her own classification. At least she titled it right.
@@TheGavrael Strange things are done out of love. In this case, I am not sure why the boy/man killed her. The lyrics sounds like he is protecting her from the difficulties of growing up.
I was watching Elizabeth's video about Aurora's 'Runaway' performance before this one, and I was touched on some level where clearing was needed and also cried through the whole thing 🙂
Considering that the man is who shoots and Aurora is the one who is shot, there is a deeper understanding of the song. Aurora sings "and here I go" Which the man does not sing with Aurora. He sings only "go". She: and here I go oh oh oh oh He: Go! That gives me goosebombs It also feels to me like she's waiting for her soul to leave, too, if it's ok for him. Like an "ok you can go honey"
Coyote, way to make me think even more than when I first heard the song 21/2 years ago. Great theory, so perceptive. It's like the story behind the story. .
Sometimes it's almost painful how quickly Aurora can draw emotions to the surface in me even when listening to one of her performances I've heard a dozen times already. Her connection to her music and her voice and those around her is astounding. I always feel extremely lucky to exist briefly at the same time as her and to be able to experience this.
That is one of my favorite things about Aurora. You could hear her sing the same song live a hundred different times and each time the song is different, based on her current emotions. It's just real.
If you haven't yet, you should check out her performance on Tiny Desk Concert, it's almost surreal watching her flip from her performance to her normal personality. It really highlights how much she lives herself into her songs.
I'm floored! I had never heard Aurora before, so thank you SO MUCH for bringing her into my life. I felt compelled to show my husband this video, and he was obviously affected by it - tears in his eyes. This is the kind of talent that cannot be taught or learned- she just has a natural, unique gift for expressing herself. That's not to say that she hasn't put effort into perfecting her skills, but I think she has a special creative spark that is rare... and incredibly beautiful 😍
Aurora might be the most unique artist I've ever seen. She is so talented and so captivating and so authentic. I'm a rock and metal guy, and she is so far out of my normal universe, but I just can't get enough of her. I've watched a ton of reactions since I was lucky enough to discover her a few months ago, and many of them are the same way. Guys who usually listen to metal, but are just mesmerized by Aurora's voice, and what she brings to her performances. And once you're hooked, you just want to see and hear more and more. I've heard her called an addiction (though a good one!), and I can definitely relate to that.
If you want to see even her get "overwhelmed" by her emotions, watch her perform "Infections of a Different Kind" live at the Haik concert in the forest. It is stunning, and she is in a very intimate setting with the audience close (containing some people she knows). It is stunning.
Infections of a Different Kind at Haik is my absolute favorite live performance of hers. That exact performance of that song is one of the most moving things I've ever seen or heard.
A 56 year old nihilistic, & terminally annoyed Punk Rock Lifer sits slack~jawed, wondering how was I delivered here? Answering myself, “It does not matter, I’m very fortunate to be.” Adequate language escapes me in describing the effect of this artist, & the members in her musical support, upon first exposure. I can confidently share only that I was & am repeatedly floored by this Norse avalanche of shamanic intuition & authenticity. Streaming tears & smiling time after time, song after song, & moment to moment feels the only available response when all others are rendered inadequate. This is light~bearing exhalation of human frailty as well as an ode to resolve & perseverance of the human spirit. A drinking fountain in the desert. Music is life; It can chase you off, invite you in, or merely be there should you need a place of escape for a time. AURORA’S music is vast & comforting, with ample seating & a perfect view from anywhere. I would love to see AURORA share a stage with Nick Cave for an evening. For me, they are the The undeniable carriers of the torch, & should they touch, we might all joyfully disappear into the light. You have provided space borrowed from Leonard Cohen, & that same space you bring freely to the feet of those weary travelers most in need of it. Mr. Cohen is so proud of you, AURORA, as am I, & as are we all of one another in this moment, having all received & responded to your summon. The Haik full documentary is a masterpiece of musical connectedness. So much an outpouring of caring & mutual consideration plays on every frame, every conversation, each sound, & every perfect edit, recounting & bringing the viewer inside the unveiling, one story at a time, of a day carved with great care & empathy, from lovingly informed materials, by its architect, conductor, & director of this adventure, Christine Dancke, then generously gifted to AURORA, for All Of Us to share in, & bear witness. …Love Unsurpassable, & Magic Incarnate.
YES! @The Charismatic Voice: Here is the best version of "Life On Mars" from NRK where she plays the keyboard: youtu . be / kJ095S0MmnA And if you like the harmonies in this song, it is nothing compared to this a cappella version of "Through The Eyes Of A Child": youtu . be / CFzExUN1N8I She is doing amazing harmonies with 3 band members.
@@jasonhaugh5530 Yes, she shows so much emotion in the Howard Stern version, it is the most emotional of the 3 versions. But her voice is a tiny bit strained probably due to all the concerts she had done during that year, she did 210 performances in 2016. But I like the NRK performance best, her voice is pristine and the sound of that old Fender Rhodes keyboard is amazing.
Dear Elisabeth. This reaction and analys is why you are the best out there in TH-cam land. You see things that take several months for me to discover and see. The "belting" part is so impressing but for me it´s the crying notes two times in the song that make me teary eye every time. Thank you for the beautiful and kind words to my soulhealers singing .I know you have a ton of other artists and songs. But we can hope for a new reaction video of Aurora "soon" . And i dream that would be AURORA - Lucky in Nidarosdomen
Elisabeth is the best commentator on TH-cam, because of how she understands and feels music, BUT also she has the most eloquent (sometimes poetic) way to explain and describe music. Always a revelation to me, especially when the music like here is so intriguing.
She brings me to tears everytime I hear her voice. No artist has ever had that effect on me. She is the closest thing to an angel that exists in human form.
I was hoping you'd do this one. When I saw it in the feed I just got out the box of tissues and sat down. This song is supposedly inspired by an article she saw in the media about a man who killed his mate to end her ongoing suffering from a vicious progressive incurable disease. It is sung from the perspective of the woman living with the suffering. Some have said she was the "victim". I think the woman is describing how both of them are victims of an unimaginably tragic life situation. The sensitivity Aurora demonstrates in writing a song that does not judge either party and just conveys the brutal heartbreak and emotion is unbelievably empathetic on her part. This was performed in an auditorium full of 23,000 people and you could hear a pin drop. I don't want to misquote her but she has said performing at this event was scary. She has said she really did not like performing live early in her career, but then she realized that once she creates a song she can let go of it like you'd let go of a child and then when she performs it it is not about her and she just becomes a conduit for it to flow through her. Her song Awakening about a young girl who commits suicide by drowning is equally sensitive, empathetic and non-judgmental. She is not afraid to tackle hard subjects and shine light on them. She is as vulnerable as finely spun glass and as strong as high carbon steel. Her art rips you apart and heals you at the same time. Who does that? Her art is almost too intense to bear, but you can't look away. She is a siren in the form of a wood nymph. Resistance is futile!
The guitarist's name is Odd Martin Skålnes, artist name O. Martin, is a singer, songwriter and music producer from the west coast of Norway. Odd Martin was in AURORA's band until 2016 when he decided to work on his solo project. Even after his departure, he still frequently collaborates with AURORA.
I discovered Aurora on your channel, I think. I love this channel. And I love Aurora. I don't know if I'll be able to stay (it's 6 hours later here, well, something like that). But I would love to see this live! :)
You can't even describe Aurora, you can just feel her, the same way she feels music. This performance is something else. /Edit: Dang it, tried not to cry, as always with this. Failed. As always...
This was my introduction to Aurora. I've seen this performance many times by now and it still gets me every time. It really is something else. I've never seen anything like it.
Wow…She is absolutely the most exquisite….I don’t have adequate words to describe how powerful the emotions she stirs up in me….Pure Brilliance….Absolutely fearless….Beautiful….Angel in human form…
Hi Elizabeth, this is my first time listening to this song, and I loved the performance. Aurora is a very talented singer and is a beautiful person inside and out. Most of her music is really emotional, and I just love the way she is so passionate about each and every song. Thank you, Elizabeth!!! 💙
Oh, I've been waiting for this reaction since the first time I saw this performance! Aurora has too many special performances to count, but this remains my favorite.
Dearest Elizabeth, I've said this before - your detailed, in depth dissection of Aurora's performances has me feeling every shiver and sensation with you. Watching her and seeing your eyes react before you put the precise words to the interpretation makes me fall in love with her as a blessing to humanity and has me hooked on watching more of you. Thank you for making the power of music more tangibly touching.
I was in tears before she finished the first countdown, and I was openly bawling at the last one. Her ability to transport both herself and her listeners into a song is unearthly. Part of me wonders what she is seeing when she performs, and another part would be afraid to find out. Her voice so affected me that after I heard her sing one line (in "Helvegen" with Warduna), I immediately looked up and purchased every album she had available on iTunes.
That thing you say about the power in her voice around 16:00 is also something I've seen in the video of 'It Happened Quiet' that you reacted to. There's this bit where she sings 'Don't you speak over my voice', and in that line she seems to use just that little bit of extra power to just hammer her point across. Absolutely love it!
I've never heard a vocalist make something so tragic sound so incredibly beautiful, it makes my heart and soul ache and yet I love that. I want more of it. I'm a sucker for heartbreaking stories that make me cry and she's written that exact kind of story in a way that is rare in modern music. Aurora has a special talent in her voice, stage presence, and facial expressions. It's so captivating and entrancing. The harmonies feel a little reminiscent of The Civil Wars, which I love. Elizabeth if you've never reacted to The Civil Wars I highly recommend their song "Poison and Wine"
ive watched a lot of aurora vocal coach react type videos and you honestly have the most analytic and descriptive videos out there - thank you so much for your dissections and explanations! as someone who knows nothing about singing technically, but feels strongly when hearing someone like aurora - i really really appreciate your breakdowns of what exactly she is doing and how. even talking about her physical expressions and how that contributes! not only that but like in this video you bring up your own physical reaction with the welling of the tearducts - you have truly created the absolute best educational, comprehensive and thorough breakdowns of these performances! thank you for sharing
I believe the singer/guitarist with her is the musician and producer Odd Martin Skålnes, with whom she collaborated on her first album before he went off to a solo career. Great review again!
That is Odd Martin, but he was actually a successful artist before Aurora, and she toured with him in her early gigs. They still work together from time to time.
Hello Elisabeth! Back to bussines again i have follow you a while now two years and i don't listen to every reaction & analys but your everytime you are so freacking great in your spellbinding analysis of vocals. I know you are going to love this. This is one of a kind song but you know what. There is one which goes through my soul everytime. My favourite performance ever 100 of 100 in atmosphere and emotions and expressions. Lucky in Nidarosdomen. Murder song stands out more in haunted voice cathegory . Next best performance of her for me. I am soo thrilled. 💚💚💚
Your summary was wonderfully phrased. She does indeed take us somewhere else, and is indeed so true, so authentic. That’s what communicates. I’ve never seen anyone who can do that in the way that she does. Such a gorgeous, haunting song too. She is, without question, my favourite artist. That she’s also extremely intelligent, utterly lovely - so warm and caring - and hilarious too just adds to it all.
This is a brilliant reaction! Yes, it’s nice to have the song/performance broken down and explained by a musical expert’s point of view r but also nice to see that it affected you emotionally as much as it did us. Sometimes ‘shivers’ is just the right word! Beautiful!
I discovered her last night while I couldn't sleep and I just found myself captivated by her voice, her songs, and the way she performs. I appreciate your break down of her live performances (I've seen all of them by now :D)! Honestly I haven't heard this song of hers yet but wow did this one hit pretty and teared up a bit listening with you. Just the way she expresses herself just draws me in more and more as I explore her music and see past live performances. Thank you for your video and appreciation for Aurora!
Ohh, how perfectly fitting with another Aurora song reaction when I'm currently visiting the city of Bergen! Looking out through the hotel windows on the majestic mountains actually makes it a bit easier to understand where she finds her inspiration. It's a very pretty and clean city surrounded by breathtakingly dramatic nature, almost like her music.
I have commented on your other videos and have seen this video many times, and your reaction more than once .... And damn I just love how you get it. You just get it. You do that so often in your videos. And you do it while seeming like an angel.... Your videos are a comfort.... I'd like to add as an edit an observation... This song tells of no past, no future, not even the present except for a split second .. this ageless, timeless melancholic song is an exact snapshot in time... Go back and listen to it with that understanding and it hits another chord inside
In minute 12:16, notice how she sank in her thoughts and emotions towards that guy once she said "holds me tight" with a slight smile, she immediately reminds herself to go back to reality once saying "oh" where the smile disappeared, also in 12:08 the huge love she holds towards him explains how she shakes her head with her eyebrows' expression while saying "he didn't mean to do no harm" in an unconscious way to defend him at all costs, she also looks at different faces in the crowd as if she's begging them to believe her. Aurora's a miracle !
What a beautiful song I've never heard of this artist before I'll be sure to research him further from this point on amazing she gets home put tears in my eyes
I give you Aurora singing her song "Lukcky" live in Nidarosdomen th-cam.com/video/AmTiqR2_VAw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Warriors%26Weirdos From there you can find her "Through the Eyes of a Child" live at Vevo or live at Nidarosdomen. Good luck with your discovery, my friend.
I don’t think there are any words to really capture or describe Aurora. The only other one that I think even comes close is “magical”. There just aren’t words.
@@babybirdhome Aurora 🧚 is nearly indescribable 🤯 Amazing, Empath, Genius, Incredible, Magic, Mesmerizing are all fitting 😍 but EXQUISITE is perhaps most fitting of all. She is TRULY a one-of-a-kind, once-in-lifetime artist🇳🇴

I LOVE your reactions. You seem to be one of the few people who FEELS the music like I do. Its amazing to get to experience it with someone else who gets it! Keep it up friend!
She is one of those rare forces of nature, like Bjork, who grew up alone with only the wind, sea and animals to call friends...and thus learned music on their own and are uninhibited, unchained from modern influences
Auroras and Bjorks musical journey couldn't be more different tbh. Aurora was self taught and Bjork was sent off to classical music school at age 5. They are both incredible and I love them both.
This visual artist appreciates your insightful analysis of a vocal artist I don’t know. I love how you describe technique and emotion, trying to circle ever closer to what makes tone and feeling into magic. Aurora’s performance is amazing.
Brilliant analysis, thank you! Experiencing Aurora live is truly a magical experience. She's the best I've ever seen in channeling emotion into her songs.
This is an unbelievable performance...reeeaaally another level...captivating...mesmerizing...touching... 10 / 10 ... Thanks Elizabeth ! You are such a great reviewer/critic, Imho... you catch on every detail... Aurora is one of her generation 's finest! No doubt about that ...
Hi, I discovered Aurora a couple of weeks ago through your channel. She just takes your mind to a different place when you listen to her sing, Thank you.
Thank you for reacting to the mindblowing vocal runs as emotionally as I reacted to them when I heard them. Sometimes I feel like I'm crazy for getting that emotionally moved/stimulated by music, and when I show it to people they don't feel what I feel. It's nice to know other people hear music the way I hear it.
I must have watched this perfomance and reactions to it like 50 times over the last two days. Every time it's the same, my eyes begins to water within 30 seconds and at the end im bawling. The way this precious little fairy delivers all this emotion hits me so hard.
Elizabeth, You do a fantastic job, I love to see you truly enjoy an artist, and it fills me with joy to appreciate Aurora with someone who hears so much beauty that is hidden to so many. I know when I hear Aurora, or watch her, I feel what she's feeling, I can hear her uniqueness and her vocal mastery, all wrapped in the childlike innocence of such a pure and magical soul. Thank you for your knowledge, sharing what you hear, and for letting us understand more about the "why" and the "how" behing the magic voice of someeone so special. And yes, invite her for something personal. Aurora would love it, and YOU deserve it!!!
Your emotional description of Aurora's singing and the beautiful harmonies is wonderful to behold!! This performance brings shivers and tears to my eyes. Truly a wonderful reaction!! ❤❤❤❤❤
This song and performance WRECKS me...but it is sweet pleasurable torment....the release of emotion and cathartic lyrics reduce me to a wisp...then Aurora pulls us back at the end with such care and love that the full cycle is addictive...Thank You Elizabeth...and Of course thank You Aurora.
Oh thats a great one, Aurora is so special and really a big difference to those casted musicians without any soul. Thanx for another review E and I would love a teatime interview with her.

I got through 5 minutes of this reaction 5 days ago and then immediately had to go away and spent (too many) hours listening to Aurora sing ever since. As a raging metalhead, I don't know what's happening to me but thank you!
Even if you don't like her music, I highly recommend seeing her in concert at least once in your life. She is mesmerising. It's more of an experience than a concert. Her stage presence, her vocals, the lighting, the atmosphere, its all perfection 🤌
Revisiting this great review after a few years. (Yes, it's been that long...) Surprised that there hasn't been more on Aurora since then... would love to see "Everything Matters", the Aurora x Pomme - Live On Rhythm By Modzik version for instance. 🙂
She has an amazing and unique voice. This is song is making me feel the way Mazzy Star's Fade into you always made me feel when I listen to it. I'm definitely adding her to my library on spotify.

@@TheCharismaticVoice Aurora did a warmup act before at least one of Odd Martin Skålnes performances when she was 16-17, then he later joined her "band" instead 🙂
If you like the harmonies in this song, they are even better, much better, in the a cappella version of "Through The Eyes Of A Child" Stripped (Vevo UK LIFT):
youtu . be / CFzExUN1N8I
It is a 2016 performance on her main channel.
@@TheCharismaticVoice You speak of Aurora creating magic, you should check out this magical performance without any instruments, just Aurora's voice and the voices of 3 of her band members doing incredible harmonies. She even looks like a magical creature here, like an elf straight out of the Golden Woods of Lothlórien:
Through The Eyes Of A Child (Live) - Stripped (Vevo UK LIFT)
The song is her original about remembering to keep your inner child, and about when you grow older and learn more about the world, you might wish to be an innocent child again.
My favorite comment I heard about this performance, paraphrased is: 'Only a Viking could sing a murder song at a Peace Prize Concert'. I know that Aurora considers this a love song.
Mhm but a sad love story..
😂😂😂
Such a beautifully sung song. I know she considers it a love song, but it’s bizarre. Same reason that lady drowned her kids, out of “love and mercy”. So I don’t really agree with her own classification. At least she titled it right.
@@TheGavrael Strange things are done out of love. In this case, I am not sure why the boy/man killed her. The lyrics sounds like he is protecting her from the difficulties of growing up.
@@djs2006 I agree. I hope no one ever loves me enough to murder me, though.
I have never cried as often as I do when Aurora sings. I can´t help it, but the tears are cleaning.
Same here!
I was watching Elizabeth's video about Aurora's 'Runaway' performance before this one, and I was touched on some level where clearing was needed and also cried through the whole thing 🙂
She has stated that she can't use autotune, as it keeps her from hitting the notes she wants.
And here it is
th-cam.com/video/iTyb_tNsvN4/w-d-xo.html
That's awesome. I love her.
Considering that the man is who shoots and Aurora is the one who is shot, there is a deeper understanding of the song. Aurora sings "and here I go" Which the man does not sing with Aurora. He sings only "go".
She: and here I go oh oh oh oh
He: Go!
That gives me goosebombs
It also feels to me like she's waiting for her soul to leave, too, if it's ok for him. Like an "ok you can go honey"
Coyote, way to make me think even more than when
I first heard the song 21/2 years ago. Great theory,
so perceptive. It's like the story behind the story. .
I am completely obsessed with Aurora and her entire catalogue. Her live performances are so unique and impressive. Please keep reacting to them!
She has everything to be one of the greatest of all times, maybe the best of our generation.
If you want to see even her get "overwhelmed" by her emotions, watch her perform "Infections of a Different Kind" live at the Haik concert in the forest. It is stunning, and she is in a very intimate setting with the audience close (containing some people she knows). It is stunning.
Another amazing emotional performance is "A Different Kind of Human" live in studio at Christines Radiofestival.
I can't agree with this more. This made me cry big time the first time I saw it - the whole concert is so beautiful.
Answering myself, “It does not matter, I’m very fortunate to be.”
Adequate language escapes me in describing the effect of this artist, & the members in her musical support, upon first exposure.
This.
This felt like an out of body experience. The intensity and emotions is truly amazing.
Her version of Bowie's "Life on Mars" is next level
YES!
@The Charismatic Voice: Here is the best version of "Life On Mars" from NRK where she plays the keyboard: youtu . be / kJ095S0MmnA
And if you like the harmonies in this song, it is nothing compared to this a cappella version of "Through The Eyes Of A Child": youtu . be / CFzExUN1N8I
She is doing amazing harmonies with 3 band members.
Aurora's version of Life on mars is out of this world. AURORA - Live in Nidarosdomen [Full concert] got a really good version of.
@@Einyen cheers, thanks for sharing both of yous
Agreed. The version on Howard Stern is AMAZING!!
@@jasonhaugh5530 Yes, she shows so much emotion in the Howard Stern version, it is the most emotional of the 3 versions. But her voice is a tiny bit strained probably due to all the concerts she had done during that year, she did 210 performances in 2016.
But I like the NRK performance best, her voice is pristine and the sound of that old Fender Rhodes keyboard is amazing.
this lady has a ice Sharpe voice, that i have only heard in Scandinavia and Icelandic voices . its cold clear like ice like a cold ice morning air
well, she is Norwegian.
@@kimacronym2521 i agree totalty.
YESS! Excited to see more Aurora content!
Aurora is the 5th element we must preserve her at all cost.
And Diana Ankudinova got to play the diva for that🌐🎆 💖 both 🧙♂️
Two words sum up Aurora's voice. Magical and haunting.
She brings me to tears everytime I hear her voice. No artist has ever had that effect on me. She is the closest thing to an angel that exists in human form.
Yes, she is in the moment, like a forest fairy taking us to her world of emotions and beautiful sounds 💕💕💕
“Magic” is a perfect way of describing what AURORA accomplishes. Thanks for sharing your reaction.
I am stoked to see Aurora again! This version of Murder Song is probably my favorite performance of hers. I am excited.
SAME ^^!!
HP, Aurora gets close to this emotion pinnacle in her early live
cover of La la la. That one gets me every time as well . . .
From the first time I heard aurora, I realised she has direct access to my goosebumps.
I miss him...
He's got fantastic simultaneous ability
Her arm, hand movements reflects synaptic firings as they find completion before they become the words and emotions we see, hear, and feel ourselves.
I agree. I have the same spatial reflections but in my mind that follows diff notes and pitches. She illustrates it perfectly with her fingers
I discovered Aurora on your channel, I think. I love this channel. And I love Aurora.
I don't know if I'll be able to stay (it's 6 hours later here, well, something like that). But I would love to see this live! :)
your reactions are still awesome to watch for me. also i have never heard of this genius artist ! thank you for exposing this to me!
:DD!!
Hi Elizabeth, this is my first time listening to this song, and I loved the performance. Aurora is a very talented singer and is a beautiful person inside and out. Most of her music is really emotional, and I just love the way she is so passionate about each and every song. Thank you, Elizabeth!!! 💙
Thank you for making the community great, Kirby. Indeed, Aurora is a very talented and beautiful person! ❤️
Phwaaah, this is such a narratively rich song. I can't wait to see Elizabeth's reaction to it. Can't wait to see Aurora in April in Brixton.
YES! i've been waiting for this day :)
The guitar and guitarist in this are as hypnotic as she is. And that is saying something!
Aurora's studio recordings are perfect, but her live performances are even better and mesmerizing.
Absolutely yes to Civil Wars!
ive watched a lot of aurora vocal coach react type videos and you honestly have the most analytic and descriptive videos out there - thank you so much for your dissections and explanations! as someone who knows nothing about singing technically, but feels strongly when hearing someone like aurora - i really really appreciate your breakdowns of what exactly she is doing and how. even talking about her physical expressions and how that contributes! not only that but like in this video you bring up your own physical reaction with the welling of the tearducts - you have truly created the absolute best educational, comprehensive and thorough breakdowns of these performances! thank you for sharing
Thank you! ❤️
This is why I love channels like this, especially yours I love your insight, but I never knew of Aurora and holy crap I wish I found her sooner!
I was with you all the way with the tears and goosebumps even though I've heard this version countless times
Great to see you back on Aurora. Really enjoyed your recent Rush Vid. Hope you had lots of Roses today stay safe xxx
I feel like time stands still when she sings, and all else around you melts away. Then it's just the performance in full focus.
What a beautiful song I've never heard of this artist before I'll be sure to research him further from this point on amazing she gets home put tears in my eyes
I give you Aurora singing her song "Lukcky" live in Nidarosdomen th-cam.com/video/AmTiqR2_VAw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Warriors%26Weirdos
From there you can find her "Through the Eyes of a Child" live at Vevo or live at Nidarosdomen. Good luck with your discovery, my friend.
Not me sobbing listening to how beautiful Aurora is and having you perfectly explain what I feel! Beautiful!!
i discovered aurora few month ago. it totally agree she is a gem . the way she speaks and sings I get goose bumps. every time.

“It’s such an exquisite experience to hear Aurora sing “🧚
I don’t believe anyone has ever described it better🙏

I don’t think there are any words to really capture or describe Aurora. The only other one that I think even comes close is “magical”. There just aren’t words.
@@babybirdhome Aurora 🧚 is nearly indescribable 🤯 Amazing, Empath, Genius, Incredible, Magic, Mesmerizing are all fitting 😍 but EXQUISITE is perhaps most fitting of all. She is TRULY a one-of-a-kind, once-in-lifetime artist🇳🇴
I can't imagine the feeling of standing on that scene and performing such an emotional song. She is so impressive.
I love how you take the time to really break down a performance. The attention to detail is much appreciated, as well as the expertise you possess to spot everything. Thank you for all that you do.
please watch it happened quite at nidarosdomen, absolutely breathtaking
I LOVE your reactions. You seem to be one of the few people who FEELS the music like I do. Its amazing to get to experience it with someone else who gets it! Keep it up friend!
She is one of those rare forces of nature, like Bjork, who grew up alone with only the wind, sea and animals to call friends...and thus learned music on their own and are uninhibited, unchained from modern influences
Auroras and Bjorks musical journey couldn't be more different tbh. Aurora was self taught and Bjork was sent off to classical music school at age 5. They are both incredible and I love them both.
Surely she didn't grow up. Surely she hatched on an icy mountaintop from an eagle's egg.
This visual artist appreciates your insightful analysis of a vocal artist I don’t know. I love how you describe technique and emotion, trying to circle ever closer to what makes tone and feeling into magic. Aurora’s performance is amazing.
No matter how many times I hear Aurora live I always get shivers over and over.... particularly in this performance.
Ohhhh please do more Aurora, I NEED MORE!
‘Through the eyes of a child’ in Nidarosdomen.. To me, the most captivating performance and song.. Have a look if you can 🥰
Hi, I discovered Aurora a couple of weeks ago through your channel. She just takes your mind to a different place when you listen to her sing, Thank you.
it was completely impossible to hold back the tears just from how awe struck this song made me feel!!!
Being inside those emotions, and so vulnerable is so hard for me to imagine.
I hope you get a chance to see her live, it truly is a bit of magic. Having been seeing concerts and shows for about 35 yrs, she was the best.
Elizabeth,
You do a fantastic job, I love to see you truly enjoy an artist, and it fills me with joy to appreciate Aurora with someone who hears so much beauty that is hidden to so many.
It was for this concert Aurora brough an "emotional support pine-cone" to handle the occasion. Enough said about this wonder of a human being.
Your emotional description of Aurora's singing and the beautiful harmonies is wonderful to behold!! This performance brings shivers and tears to my eyes. Truly a wonderful reaction!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Lovely reaction on this masterpiece performance. Thanks you.
Best analysis and reaction to this masterpiece yet! Thanks so much for this VDay gift!
What a remarkable performance. Aurora is so special. A recommendation off her new album would be "Exist for Love"
Oh thats a great one, Aurora is so special and really a big difference to those casted musicians without any soul. Thanx for another review E and I would love a teatime interview with her.
Me, watching this knowing whats coming, excited for you to see the climax. Loved your reactions and how you break it all down. Trying to sing and learning a lot from your videos
I love Aurora 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 and I love your Aurora reactions
Revisiting this great review after a few years. (Yes, it's been that long...) Surprised that there hasn't been more on Aurora since then... would love to see "Everything Matters", the Aurora x Pomme - Live On Rhythm By Modzik version for instance. 🙂
She has an amazing and unique voice. This is song is making me feel the way Mazzy Star's Fade into you always made me feel when I listen to it. I'm definitely adding her to my library on spotify.
Watching you is better than watching any TV show. Your raw and expert knowledge along with your clear passion for music makes for the best content. Feels like we all can all connect with you on your level when you react. I appreciate you.
"Perfect tuning is just perfect tuning, it's not perfect singing..." loved this! So true.
