That’s exactly what I did to try and get the stud out but it didn’t work it ended up stripping the threads. My XJ has a small lift and it has a small vibration only when I accelerate. It has all new fluids and ujoints so I was seeing if a tc drop might get rid of it.
should have used 2X1 thick wall tube and 3X1 1/4 wall angle. the tube length wise for the one in drop, the angle welded to the tube for side bolting onto the frame. all this way to prevent side ways tippling and a very strong support for sliding over the rocks. those pipes and all that open area is going to bend and break those bolts. plus thin wall... really.

Why are you adding a drop to the tcase?

I appreciate your input and I agree. It's not sliding over any rocks here in Missouri. Lol SYE coming very soon
How has it held up? Looking to do this to my 94
It's great. I drive it daily. About 500+ a week. I have no complaints.
I used the Long 1/2. Bolts and 3/4 nuts for spacers. The nuts were a lot stronger than just using pipe
