It sounds like a Chaffle with gelatin. Some have cottage cheese or cream cheese so the mascarpone would be similar. I wonder if they'd work in a Dash mini waffle maker then you wouldn't have to flip them.

I want to make this today. I have cream cheese so I will use it instead of the Mascarpone. I will have ham and cheese for the filling. I will finish it in my cast iron fry pan as I do with all grilled cheese sandwiches. It may crisp it up a bit.
@@shelleyn.8503 as I was writing down the recipe I noticed I also didn't have gelatin. I researched a substitute and decided I would use xanthan gum. At this point, I lost interest in making a mess. When I make it I will let you know if these substitutes created a nice bread.
@@shelleyn.8503 I made the bread today with cream cheese. It was a good substitute along with the 3/4 tsp of xanthan gum in place of the gelatin. My batter was much thicker than in this video. I pressed it into an 8x8 pan. While it was baking I looked at the recipe and realized I used one egg and forgot the second. I also added 1 tsp of dried onion for extra flavor. It baked beautifully and flipped easily. I cut the bread into 4x4 squares. This bread with only 1 egg is firmer than the bread in the video. It tastes great and has a nice firmness and I will definitely make it again with only 1 egg, cream cheese, and xanthan gum.
My handle fell off my microwave completely. Now jerking it open from the bottom. Works great, just slowly breaking away. Will use until it's completely in pieces. Love you so much.

Gelatin clumps when added to hot liquids when it's still a powder that's why recipes tell you bloom it in cold water first before adding to the hot stuff.
Looks delicious. I think I would also try them as little pizzas. Maybe make them thinner and could slice them for little lasagna noodle too? All kinds of ideas for this. Thank you!✌️

We have that same microwave and the handle came off in the same way. Mister took the handle completely off and in the bottom hole, he screwed in a cupboard knob. It works perfectly.

We had our first GE microwave for like 15 years. Still worked great so we looked online. There is a website where you can buy parts. They had a new handle. My husband replaced in just a few minutes. We had the microwave for many years after that.
The last thing I need is more cooking pans (thought they are cute) so when I make this I will use a 8"square pan and then cut it in 4. Should work out ok will just have to make sure the middle is done.
My microwave door handle also broke. I used a tube of Gorilla Glue adhesive(clear). It works well. I have to re glue it about once a year. Also, I could not find a replacement handle for it.

It definitely is not light and fluffy, but it’s filling and doesn’t taste like pork rinds. Before that I made Dierdre’s bread really liked it, but it seemed to halt any weight loss.

Don't worry about the microwave handle. Ours did the same thing and so did my son's microwave. It's because the microwaves are up high and you have that tendency to pull down on them. We tried gluing and fixing and in the end you end up buying a new microwave
mascarpone is $16.99 here where i live in canada, for a small container,, cottage cheese on the other hand is $6.99 for a small container, do you think i could substitute drained cottage cheese in this recipe??
I live in Canada too and I googled it this is what I got: Cream cheese and whipping cream Mix 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream with 8 oz of cream cheese to replace 1 cup of mascarpone. The whipping cream reduces the tanginess of the cream cheese and gives the mixture a smooth, velvety texture. Cream cheese and sour cream Mix 1/2 cup of sour cream with 1/2 cup of cream cheese to replace 1 cup of mascarpone. ope this helps

Gelatin doesn’t clump like Xanthan gum does. So much easier to work with. Love your videos.
Is there a difference in the carb count then?
@tamijoiskewl I use beef gelatin. 10 grams (about 1T) has 9 grams of protein & zero carbs!

2 eggs
1 cup mozzarella
2 tbs mascarpone
1 tbs gelatin
Bake in 4” pans for 2 pairs
at 365° for 15 minutes
flip them and then 5 more minutes
