The house in the middle of the m62 is there because the ground it stands on was unsuitable to support the motorway so they went either side of it, it is farmed now by a guy who worked for the original owners, the story that the farmer refused to move is sadly a myth.

No individual is going to win against the authoritarian UK Gov.
[Rant] You don't even have freedom of speech. Which means if you make certain mouth sounds they will put you in a cage. Every citizen of the UK should drop what they are doing and remedy this. It's the only way to change this barbaric method of governing. Speaking is a 'natural right' which can only be taken away by evil tyrants. [End Rant]

The farm house on the M62 is a myth. Reason the motorway goes either side of the house is because of the lay of the land is was easier and cheaper to go either side of the house. I'm a recent viewer been watching since December love the vids.

I used plastic metal step-in posts with plastic garden fence (temporary) and every time snow got on it, it would pull them until they'd snap (plastic). We put in 6' metal stake-in posts from farm store which are considerably stronger, with wire mesh fence, and it's holding up great after 2 years (but our dogs don't really push against them or bother them). We can't really get the wooden posts in because we literally live on a granite+ glacier deposit with only about 6" of topsoil. So the metal ones can usually be staked in or split the rocks if you get them started, but it's not as easy as digging in the UK. (Every time I watch "time team" episodes, I'm jealous at how easy the digging is there). All that slurry, no doubt! lol.

People in NZ run post rammers on remote control CTLs (track skid steers), some also run a post rammer on an excavator or telehandler too. There is a place making fence posts out of used soft plastics (used plastic milk bottles etc). The plastic 'future post' can be put in the ground with a tractor post rammer. A 125millimetre (4.9 inch)round diameter x 1.8metre (70.8 inch) long plastic post uses about 400 two litre milk plastic bottles. The 4.9 inch diameter round plastic post is also available in 2.1/ 2.4 metre (82.6 & 94.4 inch) lengths for wetter ground and horticultural uses. Probably too many Waste to Energy (WTE) plants in the UK burning plastic to have recycled plastic posts.

Tom I know everybody has there own way of doing things but we move 4000 bales from field to barns with trailers and a tractor with a loader.I can load 2 bales at a time with bale spear and get 18 bales on in just a few minutes. I know you only have your old loader tractor to compare but the cycle times on something that old is so slow its not even close to a modern loader tractor.

19:30 The JCB does look sweet, but it should Have a bucket on the front loader that is the full vehicle width so you can get into corners with the bucket edge
If it has dual steer or articulation steer it will turn better than most other Tractors.
It would be especially awesome with quick attachment couplers and a snowplow, you could do communal snowplowing getting in extra pay
Just always remember you need to pay for its drinks in addition to its unit cost, I knew a farmer that bought a new tractor and barely used it the first 3 years because all his money went into repaying credit and the old tractor used 1/4 of the fuel

One of the things regularly said about the M62 farmhouse and grounds is that a stubborn farmer refused to move and the motorway had to be built around it.
Although this is in fact not true, the motorway had to be built around the building, with two carriageways splitting it, because underneath there is a geological fault.

I bought that metal Clipex fencing, but bought it from Clipex Ireland, because Mcvey Parker sell a different profile to the standard, plus they deliver triplex end pieces and netting, their videos emblazen the Clipex logo, whilst demonstrating installation, inferring Triplex is an associated product, when it isnt... the full Clipex system was a doddle to put in... the triplex ends needed a tractor...
