    One thing I forgot to mention is that I am holding down my sustain pedal when I'm strumming. This is very important.

    What a gorgeous plug in which I just got the free version and the pretty music helped too 😀. Great vid man and the audience don't give a shit if the guitars are real, they just want to feel music.

      Don't Forget that the free version '' Ample Guitar Martin LITE'' is a cut down version from the Full one. If you want to try the Full version, we have the Trial version of Ample Guitar Martin (Ample Guitar M III v3.01) that can download here: www.amplesound.net/en/download.asp Its the full version but limited to 7 days of use.

    I think playing the guitar in live certainly sounds more human than the inbuilt strummer which I find a bit mechanical. But I truly love Amplesounds guitars. I use them all the time.

    Thanks for showing how to translate the keyboard to the guitar. For song demos, or when not fully forward in a mix, this has a lot more than a 'passing' realism. I'll sub to your channel now.

    A good thing will also be recording 2 times that performance (as close as possible), pan one LEFT and one RIGHT to get a wider sound with those little timing "imperfections".

    • @jason5276
      @jason5276 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You also have a ''double tracking option'' within the Ample Sound Engine which will also get you a wider sound too.

    Great videos! Higher res. recording would be really, really helpful! Dropped frames in an instruction video can be frustrating, especially videos like yours which focus on the hands, it would be great not to have dropped frames when a finger was moving someplace critical to the performance you are teaching. Thx!

      WavebeatsMusic - Royalty Free Music I review many virtual instruments, and I try to be as unbiased as possible, but they honestly make the best virtual guitars on the market. I got to find out how they make their libraries and it made me appreciate it more. Not only is the layout the most logical for keyboardists and programmers, the sound quality and details they focus on are of the highest caliber.

    What's the benefit of using this VST over stock Montage sounds?

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Montage only has 3 samples per note. Soft sustain, medium, and hard. This plugin behaves like a real guitar in many ways that Montage can never. More articulations (harmonics, palm mute, legato slide, strum noise, pick and finger samples, multiple mic positions, samples of each string and fret for many tones, round robin samples, strum mode, Riffer to build realistic riffs, Tab import and playback---too much to name.

I'm building a home recording studio and noticed you're using a Montage in this video which is way above my budget. Will a Kross II work just as well in using this specific, great guitar VST? Or anything better that you can recommend? Also is this still the best acoustic guitar pack available for the money? Thank you!

    Back in '75, when I was 13, I joined my first garage band. Mom's little spinet piano with a mic in it.
    The drummer and guitar player were twins and it was their house so neither one of them were going to leave. Drummer was very talented for a 14 year old but his twin, the guitar player, sucked and had no ear. He thought he could strum his way through every song and only knew open chords.
    I quickly grew frustrated listening to his strummed renditions of Don't Fear the Reaper, Foreigner tunes,, Styx, etc.
    So I bought a Hohnerr clavinet, a distortion box, and a phase shifter and did my damnedest to play the guitar parts.
    Strummer boy, God bless him, quickly became irrelevant and I've spent the rest of my life trying to emulate guitar parts on various keyboards. The last of which was a Korg Kronos. I've always been slightly frustrated by the tones these otherwise wonderful keyboards have offered me for guitar parts, but I've never thrown down for a good software package.
    I've had other guitar players tell me, "Dude, buy yourself a guitar. It's in your brain."
    7 kids, 6 grandkids, and 47 years later, I think I'm gonna treat myself finally. Man we've come a long way!
    I've always been slightly frustrated

    okay sir Thank you for the tutorial for being very helpful. but so far I want to ask why sometimes the tempo of the guitar when entering the strummer sounds a little less precise even though the fan is right. is there a solution for this thanks 🙏

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It may be the sample start time. In the settings, there is a sample start time option that lets you start it at 0ms or higher. When you have it set to zero, you get the entire audio sample, which sounds more realistic, but causes a tiny bit of latency in the feel. When you set it to something higher like 35ms, you get a snappier playback, but it sounds a tiny bit less realistic because you're cutting off the first 35ms of sample. In order to solve this, you need to set your delay compensation on your DAW to -35ms (or set it to where you feels it's right) so it starts playing your sample a little early to make up for the latency. Let me know if you need clarification.

    • @hifimidi

      in Logic there is a percentage bar you can drag left to right. In Cubase, you have to vary it by ticks, I believe. I haven't figured out if it has a percentage slide like Logic does. Pro Tools has a quantization strength slider.
