I got extremely lucky last month. A kid traded in a 94 Fleetwood that is in extremely good condition. My work sold me it to me for $1,000. Such a great platform for me to start with.
That’s what’s up! That’s a great deal. Good luck with the project!
Robbed that kid ngl😂
@@mrbeengroovn yep, sure did. But hey, he’s happy. I’m happy. We’re all happy 🤣
Congrats you did get lucky
My first car was a 83 coupe deVille. I got it for 1200. I did a pro hopper 2 pump, 10 switch, setup. Ran it at 72 volts. 14 inch Showtime cylinders and a chainbridge. I was 18 in 1999. I've been wanting to build another lowrider for the last cpl years. That thing was fun as hell!
Hell yeah. Nothing beats hitting switches at that age.!
My first car was a 84 coupe DeVille that already had a 307 engine swap that I picked up for $2,500 the car was already in beautiful shape so we just did very minor body work and painted it back factory black, and went with some 13x7 road star knock offs because I liked the spoke pattern a little more than the Dayton at the time, and just went with mild stereo system. I didn’t keep it long enough to put switches, because I got a pretty good offer from someone who really wanted it so I excepted the offer. Today, I’m currently looking for another 81 to 84 coupe DeVille or fleetwood coupe.
@@angeldesigns1385 that’s dope. Always liked those cars!
@@anthonycordova74 yes sir I’ve been thinking about getting another one for about a year now and that’s a lot of what brought me here. I’m enjoying your channel and I’m definitely subscribing! Thanks brother!
@@angeldesigns1385 I appreciate the support thanks for subscribing.
I bought my first lowrider in 1995 when I was 16yrs old.I wanted a two door 62,63 or 64 impala but I got a 4 door 62 impala. I had two low Joe's pumps 4 batteries I use to drive it to school
That’s what’s up! Thanks for the comment.
Thank you, I started out with a 55 Chevy pickup My dad used for everything around home diy. In high school hanging with a gang in trouble on my way to death or prison. Family stepped in my uncle lowriding since 60's Had built clean rides I looked up to him. My dad a machinist gave me this truck and a way out. Rusted where all tri five Chevy do no chrome layers of paint. Offer if I wanted a lowrider there was my canvas. Cut away the rust make shape replace metal to the body my dad had Tools I learned to use my hands countless hours of work. To get the truck uncaked old built up grease dirt rust work truck parts. That took time which kept me off the street through probation. I got through layers of paint on the entire truck by hand including grill bumper side steps headlight rings cab interior. Put the truck together primered the exterior painted cab interior. I lowered the truck 7 inches taking leaf springs apart removing restacking. Started out with set Cal Chrome rims 14 x 7 reverse and 560 white walls. Here's thing I didn't have money to get a lowrider. I made a lowrider. I put in the work I learned by doing asking how. There was no you tube videos or kits with everything. Detailing goes along way so does getting a nod from the dudes with show cars. I love lowriders My deal is driving them dependable enough that I could and have driven to car shows out of state. Getting that 55 Chevy changed my life. I still make my own I have a 63 Rivi now learning everything Buick. Front to rear yes I agree with you about getting a car with solid bones. I have looked at almost every inch of wiring in my car and will be repairing the dash circuit panel. I learned to read schematics in the army. Thanks for this video and having a ride does not have to be high dollar.
We never quit learning! That’s a great story and I’m glad you got into lowriding carnal!
I’m from Australia and lowriding are getting bigger here every year, and yes they ain’t cheap
No sir especially over seas!
Subscribed! Good video. I’m building my first lowrider now. I picked up a 81 Monte Carlo a couple years ago with about 65k original miles. I completely gutted it about 6 months ago. Slowly working on accumulating parts for it now. Keep hitting snags but taking my time.
Thanks for the sub! Nice great car to start with!
🔥🔥🔥amazing video bro fr
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the comment.
I bought a 1986 cutlass on Saturday and I’ve already spent 6,000 in 2 days 😅 and now the car won’t start so I’m starting on the engine and working my way around the vehicle
It doesnt take long! lol. good luck on the build!
My eventual build will be a 1949 Ford F1. It's not really a common base to start with, as I've only seen two or three lowrider F1s. But I love those trucks. And I love lowriders. So it makes sense.
That’s something totally different. I can picture it though. Good luck!
Good info 👊
Glad it was helpful!
Great video
Thanks for the visit!
Nice brother looking good 👍
Thanks 👍
I was looking at your content and this is my first lowrider I'm going to build and I can weld with mig I can do body work and paint I figure I'm headed of the curve little bit only thing I'm liking in mechanic and my music sound system , installation of hydraulic wiring the switches , thanks I appreciate information 😎💯
Just dive in head first and TH-cam it that’s how I figure out things I need to know.
You should make a video on parts needed to build a Lowrider
Sounds like a great idea. Thanks for the suggestion. ✌🏼
I am from Windsor Ontario Canada Canada.. it's hard finding anything here under $6000 alot I've seen are as is. It's crazy
Yeah prices are crazy everywhere these days!
We love low riding in Az! Got a 64 cadi, 62 Lincoln, and a 63 thunderbird. All scrape
That’s what’s up! All bad ass cars.
This is a awesome inspiring video I got a 98 Buick park avenue front wheel drive but I got it super cheap almost nothing but hard work I was thinking about setting it up real nice but not sure if it is a good foundation for a low low
Back in the day you could lowride anything. I’m all for doing whatever you want.
I wish I still had my 83 cutless it was already on 13 gold Dayton's and had the hydrologics in it but they look burnt up and I did know how to mess with them I was only 15 and first car
My first car was a 1981 baby Lincoln 4 door. It was burgundy with a white vinyl top. The wheels I bought were 13x7 roadster wire wheels with the cap that had the actual lock with a little 🔑 key. Funny thing with the wheels, is that i first saw them at a friend's, he was actually like a father figure to me, i loved those wheels so much i was looking for an exact set, because my friend sold them so I didn't get the chance to buy them from when he decided to sell them. Anyway, i bought a set like them. Ended up being a bought the exact set that had belonged to my friend. I didn't realize it but when my friend saw them, he said those were mine, i said yeah right, then he pointed out a little mark they had and yup they were his old wheels. That was pretty cool.
That’s a cool story. I remember always wanting the cap with the lock but I never got them. I had the moon cap with the three wing knock off with the white eagle.
More videos like this bro 🙏🙏🙏
You got it bro.
How did you get these dark dark accence in that oaint... Its candy on top but wgat the base coat and the dark patterns???❤❤❤ Thanks 😊 I super super appreciate it!!!
I made them using dark color bases like blue, charcoal and purple. Ill blend candies too sometimes.
@@anthonycordova74 Man you should do a video tutorial on how you painted it. even if you just use pictures and a voice over because to me personally that car is stunning ❤❤❤@anthonycordova74
Your first build damn near mirrors mine exactly Lol! My first lowrider was a 78 Monte Carlo on 13x7 chrome Mcleans, wasn’t cut though. My first one with hydraulics was a 91 Brougham, with 14x7 all chrome knockoffs, batteries sliding around in the trunk, pumps mounted to the trunk floor, no reinforcement. Car was super clean tho, paid 3k around year 99/2000, same car now I see going from around 8k-15k, looking for another one right now. Next one will be done right!
That’s crazy! Yeah I miss that car.
@@anthonycordova74 so whats the go to length for glasspacks on a lowrider im working on building a 96 caprice wagon on wires ... i want that oldschool sound
@@durtysouthkustomz8862 I think it depends . The shorter the glass pack the more wrap you’re gonna get from the exhaust. I like the medium length or longer ones myself.
@@anthonycordova74 just curious what is your whole bagged for hydros and when I say bagged I mean like oldschool minitruck fast bag setup with half in lines , it’s going to be my daily that I’m going to drive on spokes
Plus it’s a wagon so I don’t know if I ever want to deal with the fluid leak inside my interior
@@durtysouthkustomz8862 I’m always a do what you want kinda person. Bags are cool, for a daily. Lowrider purists are gonna say hydros only, but I’m all for building what you want to build.
I still got my 84 cutlass i builded in 2015i paid for it back then just for the car $2500
Hydraulic and custom paint,13x7 systems ufffff more then $20k in 2018
Bad ass. Paint always makes the cost go way up!
I want a Lincoln town car!
Nice, I had one for a year then I sold it!
Building my first ride 95 crown Victoria
That’s what’s up! Good luck on the build!
Bro it all sounds good but a car around 2k is impossible to find unless it's a shell. Nice vid though.
Prices are coming down. Lol. I agree though everything is overpriced!
@anthonycordova74 I'm constantly online seeing if I find that hidden jem. Hopefully one day.
Yo man I live in an apartment and am working on paying off my daily and after that I want to look into a 90s Lincoln but I have no clue where to store it and work on it what do you think man?
Maybe store it at your parents or another family members that you trust. I would start with something thats already pretty clean with low miles so all it needs is upgrades and not much repair work. Those Lincolns are out there but your probably gonna pay a little more!
@@anthonycordova74 true man I think and hope I may be able to do it because today in my apartment complex someone bought a 2020 scat pack srt charger and someone else has a almost 100k dollar 2023 Silverado Duramax
@@anthonycordova74hey man good news I finally got close enough money to get a 01 Lincoln Continental and the guy lowered the price and is waiting for me to buy it and it's got a clean title mechanic owned but I'm still going to double check for things that need to be fixed
I’m fairly local to you and I’m looking for a body and paint guy for my ‘64 Impala SS Convertible. 😎
Right on man, I’m currently back logged a couple years at least. I’m working with a private collector right now.
@@anthonycordova74 It’s so hard to know who to trust and give your money to in this body and paint world! I already got ripped off once! If you have any recommendations in the Bay Area, I would appreciate it! Thank you! ✌️😎
My first was 1986 olds cutlass 3 pumps 8 batteries took 20+ years later I built a 1997 Lincoln town car two pump six batteries lay and play
Nice. Both nice cars to lowride!
If you’re going to use a jack please make sure you use jackstands. Be careful out there.
For sure!
Mini trucks too
Yes sir
I’m building a 86 s10 the same way one part at a time
@@user-vu6ru2bw9p nice! Mini trucks are sick!
Absolutely
Truth ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
💯
🤘🏽
Thank you 🙏
Can I get three wheeling with 5k and primer
Anything is possible if you look hard enough for the right deals, thats a pretty tight budget though.
you think a 92 buick century would look good. i’m just hesitant bcuz of all the “gotta be old classic”
I think you can do whatever you want. That’s a front wheel drive car though. You might have to run standard offset wheels.
I would never lower any 4 door car or anything after the late 80s. Classic cars is the true lowriders with 13 inch deep reverse rims and white walls.
Yeah those are the original lowriders . I feel you.
@anthonycordova74 I have a 1965 Impala ss. I need hydraulics tho.
Does anyone remember when low low's used to TURTLE WALK.
It’s making a comeback! Lol
@@anthonycordova74 The TURTLE WALK with the cylinders making the car move forward??
