Definitely top 2 OST for me, the only thing that beats it is Fate’s OST, but that can change since Re:zero could have a bunch more seasons since there is 11 arcs planned.
Can we talk about studio whitefox for a second? consistent 29min episodes with no opening/ending for most of the episodes, and selecting songs that fit the anime so well that they can be used as insert songs for some scenes to compensate not having their own timeslot. I feel like this is THE DEFINITE way of adapting a light novel. This is the futur. light novels simply cannot be adapted the same way as mangas. 23min episodes with 3min of opening/ending (aka 20min of content) will never cut it. too much cut content. having 29min episodes without opening/ending means 29min of content vs the usual 20. for a 25 episodes season that means : 25(episodes) x 9 (extra minutes of content) / 20 (normal amount of content)= 11.25 extra episodes. THIS IS HUGE IN TERM OF PACING AND CUT CONTENT ISSUES. Whitefox is giving us 36 episodes hidden as 25. Bless them. I wanna give them my praise. I'm definitely going to buy the overexpensive bluray to make up for the lack of advertising (due to the extra lenght episodes) they deserve it. I'm gonna buy all the novels even though i already read them online. Re:Zero always had a LOT of potential and WhiteFox freaking delivered.
We waited four years. What did we get? A literal god tier season. I would wait 4 years again for season 3 if it means having this much passion and quality put into it.
my god I imagine myself 4 years later at 18 years old, opening Crunchyroll, hearing Subaru and Emilia's voices, and then I start crying for the nostalgia
Emilia’s life was grey and colorless with no future in sight but everything for changed when she met Subaru since he was the guiding light that gave her meaning in the world and the same can be said about Subaru once he arrived to this world he had nothing and was in despair until he saw Emilia. This ending honestly symbolizes their relationship since they both believe in each other
This ending reminds me of Rent-a-Girlfriend's second ending, the one that explained Ruka's heart condition. The animation was made entirely in shades of blue until the very end, when it depicted the moment she met Kazuya, and then the color range was more natural. These are the kind of details that you just need to applaud whenever you spot them.
I think it has a deeper meaning. You can observe the water drops (probably from rain) around emilia. The water, as everything else, is clearly stopped in time (referencing emilia who stayed frozen in the ice). When subaru comes to get her out of this colorless, paused and rainy world, all the water surrounding her not only rises to the sky, but it's coming back in time (look at the waves disappearing on the ground). I don't know if this should represent subaru's return by death or emilia returning to her true self.
@@philgamer5280 Re:Zero is in the Olympus of anime, so of course everything else would be "simp material" compared to it, but that wasn't what I was trying to do. They changed the last frame of the ending in episode 9. The last shot featuring the ripple and the rainbow is clear until episode 9, where it now reflects Subaru and Emilia (along with the ripple and rainbow). Before episode 9, Emilia had never looked at her reflection and/or a mirror because she hated her own appearance, being judged as related to the witch of envy. You can see this at the start of episode 9, where at the start of the second trial the mirror in Mother Fortuna's house is blank/lacks a reflection when Emilia looks into it. Later, Emilia ends the trial by diving into a lake and finally accepting her own reflection. White Fox delivers again, adding this tiny little change to the ending that at the same time packs so much meaning.
the animation quality is so godlike, didnt know why the animation quality decreased in the second season, that would be even more amazing but still i am still satisfied about the anime
@@sunjan-aoc Nope. Garbage schedule mostly. Covid just gave them an excuse to delay and avoid a complete disaster. (Thank God!) 14 key animators and 2 directors for one single OP. If you have watched the new re zero episode 22 in the ending scene of the ending they actually show Subaru holding Emilia in the water reflection unlike in the first version where there was nothing But a rainbow. This was due to Emilia passing the second trial btw.

this song sounds beautiful and is structured so nice. like not only does every instrument and her voice work together perfectly and sound amazing together, but it’s arranged phenomenally with great chord progressions that sound soooo soothing
Ahh such a beautiful ending. Emilia lived in a black and white world, her time was stopped. In these chapters she began remembering her past, her memories, where she started and came from. The drops of water going back to the sky, their origin. With this she could now begin to find what was important to her. In the present, right now. She could finally see some light in her world. Subaru appearing to further enlighten and color her world. Making her time start moving again :) Their love is just so wholesome, the way it is depicted is just perfect. Re: zero with another beautiful ending, which fits perfect for Emilia!
Masterpiece ending!
For a Masterpiece of anime series. Thank you for everything White Fox 🙏🏻
I think I’m addicted to this ending
Don't worry we'll both get addicted to s3 op and ed soon
Nice ending :) Love Emilia, to me she’s named prettiest anime girl for 2021. I hope she gets all the love and happiness in the world. Same for Subaru, he deserves nothing but absolute love and happiness more than anyone actually
Emilia best girl ;)
The drop is cinematographic masterpiece
THIS IS UNREAL. The details and the song and the lyrics etc. Thank you white fox
If anyone didn't notice, Emilia in this OP is a Sunshine Girl praying for the bad weather to clear up.
What I can say about this ending is that this is pure amazing
Our Wedding Dance 2.7.2022
Simple yet elegant ED animation. Studio White Fox is great.
