i recently started going to sleep and reading a book at 10pm. Dear Dr. Marc, First of all thanks a lot for the informative video. I am currently 28 years old, but me and my fiancé (who is a 28 year old man) we have no plans to have children before we turn 40, because I still want to live my life, enjoy my youth, and build a solid career. But, sometimes I watch these videos and read articles about pregnancy after 40 to start preparing myself, to inform myself - also because, at least in my opinion, having a child requires many, many years of research, and understanding... no not only to conceive the child, but also to take care of her own physical integrity as a woman, and to know exactly how to educate this vulnerable person who will arrive in the world. Although there is still a long time to go, more or less a decade for me to start actively trying to get pregnant, I want to start informing myself about pregnancy at a reasonably older age (because I really think that 40 is not old, because nowadays women over 50 can be mothers), but I also hope that in the 30's there will be more technology, and methods that doctors are not aware in the present days. I sincerely hope that technologies evolve, and that in the very future when I am prepared to become a mother, pregnancy after 40 years does not have the stigma that it has today for some people and some closed-minded doctors. And I expect that not only because it's my decision to wait to have a child...but also for other women. I wish this for girls and women in society, because we are no longer in 1930, we women and young couples are not obliged to waste our youth taking care of a child. We have the right to explore life, grow, build a structure, and be our best versions before we decide something as big as bringing a child into the world - a child deserves such a country too. Let's fight for a future in which it is beyond all doubt possible to be mothers at 40 and beyond! I would reccomend freezing your eggs. I'm 42 and had my daughter at 30. Many of my friends at that same age also had children but several of them had to have ivf to conceive, they thought they would just come off the pill and get pregnant and it just didn't work like that. I have only a limited number of friends but if say 30% of them needed help to conceive after trying naturally. Waiting until you are 40 although you won't necessarily feel old you will notice changes in your cycle and your general health and looks. Gambling on a few good eggs surviving until that age and having them fertilised is very risky if you are certain you want your own children.

I’ve seen 2 women married one twice at 25 then at 28 , the other in her 33, they could not have kids naturally. What I’ve learned is feeling whole without a husband and kids matters first. Also, few people talk about that, but the more a woman feels safe and secure in a relationship and in life, the easier her body can welcome a baby. If you believe in this life you are going to have children, you are going to have them. To attract the right husband means you feel whole, you love life, you are living your purpose, and you carry yourself in a way he can recognize. Go to places where you would love to live an see don’t forget to do the inner work. Also look at how you manifest things in your life, there is always common patterns and use these to create your relationship list (prioritize needs over wants). Good luck and have faith!
So its better for me to spend 3 months working on my fertility/health, rather then getting pregnant as quickly as possible at 40? I just had my 50th birthday and am having a tubal reversal 11-15-2023. The doctor did recommend a donor egg solely based on my age. I’m in great shape and was very fertile before I had a tubal ligation. I have 6 children naturally. Please give me your advice to have another baby after my reversal.

Very little sugar, mostly vege diet with some fish, little alchol, always exercised, mediterranean diet, never used contraceptive pills and only used meds sporadic. Unfortunately I lost the baby due to a huge fibroid I had which I didn't know about because I never had any symptoms. Doctores were shocked I never had any issues from my fibroid before ( my fibroid was a bit bigger than a grapefruit)... again I think because of my healthy lifestyle my body didn't even react to it. The sleep and melatonin levels is very frustrating for me. I have never in my life been able to fall asleep before 11pm at the earliest, unless I am sick or have been up since before 4 am that day. I also naturally wake up around 8 am, without an alarm clock. Preparing for bed starting around 10:30 and waking up at 8am gives me the best sleep, with only one wake-up in the night. Going to bed early? I lay there until well after 11pm and wake up anywhere from 4-9 times through the night (I documented it for 3 years), waking up very much not rested. But if going to bed is healthier, it's what I want to do!

I miscarried because I drank lots of bitter herbal tea ( part of my culture) at the time because I did not know I was pregnant because at the time I had what seemed like a period but was very sick. Prior to conception, drs said I needed donor eggs and conception was impossible.

I was told today by a jerk Dr. saying that just because of my age, I have only 1% chance of developing a healthy embryo. I am not sure if it would have thicked going on... 17yrs of married life and couple of failed ivf icsi,3rd attempt tmrw. i recently started going to sleep and reading a book at 10pm. I used to go to bed at 12 or even 1230... when I started to sleep at 10 - it sucked because Ifelt I lost so much time to work but all I can describe the benefits as, it feels delicious. I cant explain why that's my description but it's so nice. I dont need to do all that work.
I am 38 and heading for IVF treatment in few weeks, we are just going through the hormone injections. And I am petrified this wont work either. My doctor literally said my AMH is too low at 1.0 and that I have most likely missed all my natural chances.... so please pray for us, because baby is all we are dreaming of now that we have finally found each other and have our home.

Dear Dr. Marc, First of all thanks a lot for the informative video. I am currently 28 years old, but me and my fiancé (who is a 28 year old man) we have no plans to have children before we turn 40, because I still want to live my life, enjoy my youth, and build a solid career. But, sometimes I watch these videos and read articles about pregnancy after 40 to start preparing myself, to inform myself - also because, at least in my opinion, having a child requires many, many years of research, and understanding... no not only to conceive the child, but also to take care of her own physical integrity as a woman, and to know exactly how to educate this vulnerable person who will arrive in the world. Although there is still a long time to go, more or less a decade for me to start actively trying to get pregnant, I want to start informing myself about pregnancy at a reasonably older age (because I really think that 40 is not old, because nowadays women over 50 can be mothers), but I also hope that in the 30's there will be more technology, and methods that doctors are not aware in the present days.
I sincerely hope that technologies evolve, and that in the very future when I am prepared to become a mother, pregnancy after 40 years does not have the stigma that it has today for some people and some closed-minded doctors. And I expect that not only because it's my decision to wait to have a child...but also for other women. I wish this for girls and women in society, because we are no longer in 1930, we women and young couples are not obliged to waste our youth taking care of a child. We have the right to explore life, grow, build a structure, and be our best versions before we decide something as big as bringing a child into the world - a child deserves such a country too. Let's fight for a future in which it is beyond all doubt possible to be mothers at 40 and beyond! I would reccomend freezing your eggs. I'm 42 and had my daughter at 30. Many of my friends at that same age also had children but several of them had to have ivf to conceive, they thought they would just come off the pill and get pregnant and it just didn't work like that. I have only a limited number of friends but if say 30% of them needed help to conceive after trying naturally. Waiting until you are 40 although you won't necessarily feel old you will notice changes in your cycle and your general health and looks. Gambling on a few good eggs surviving until that age and having them fertilised is very risky if you are certain you want your own children.
I regret badly for not having kids earlier, I would suggest to have kids before 35 or at least freeze eggs. Technology is not that powerful

I’ve seen 2 women married one twice at 25 then at 28 , the other in her 33, they could not have kids naturally. What I’ve learned is feeling whole without a husband and kids matters first. Also, few people talk about that, but the more a woman feels safe and secure in a relationship and in life, the easier her body can welcome a baby. If you believe in this life you are going to have children, you are going to have them. To attract the right husband means you feel whole, you love life, you are living your purpose, and you carry yourself in a way he can recognize. Go to places where you would love to live an see don’t forget to do the inner work. Also look at how you manifest things in your life, there is always common patterns and use these to create your relationship list (prioritize needs over wants). Good luck and have faith!

I can say I got pregnant at 38 reaching 39 at our first try!
I have always been healthy.
Very little sugar, mostly vege diet with some fish, little alchol, always exercised, mediterranean diet, never used contraceptive pills and only used meds sporadic.
Unfortunately I lost the baby due to a huge fibroid I had which I didn't know about because I never had any symptoms.
Doctores were shocked I never had any issues from my fibroid before ( my fibroid was a bit bigger than a grapefruit)... again I think because of my healthy lifestyle my body didn't even react to it.
Now I have just turned 40, had the fibroid removed and we are trying for a baby again. Pray for me 🙏🏾

The sleep and melatonin levels is very frustrating for me. I have never in my life been able to fall asleep before 11pm at the earliest, unless I am sick or have been up since before 4 am that day. I also naturally wake up around 8 am, without an alarm clock. Preparing for bed starting around 10:30 and waking up at 8am gives me the best sleep, with only one wake-up in the night. Going to bed early? I lay there until well after 11pm and wake up anywhere from 4-9 times through the night (I documented it for 3 years), waking up very much not rested.
But if going to bed is healthier, it's what I want to do!

Omg! I saw one today. Thanks for the info! God has allowed me to find this video by what I would call a good accident while watching makeup videos. I’m 47 and conceived last yr naturally. I miscarried because I drank lots of bitter herbal tea ( part of my culture) at the time because I did not know I was pregnant because at the time I had what seemed like a period but was very sick. Prior to conception, drs said I needed donor eggs and conception was impossible.

I was told today by a jerk Dr. saying that just because of my age, I have only 1% chance of developing a healthy embryo. I think she was a doctor trying to scare me out of her practice so that she could have higher success rates. I don't think she knows how educated I am on this topic I know that it's 10% of my eggs are healthy right now at 45, and my anti-mullerian hormone is .875. We saw some eggs on an ultrasound. I felt like she is very pessimistic and offencive that she instantly treated me like a NUMBER. 😮

I have regular periods and some what irregular ovulation CD 13-16- 18 I am doing acupuncture regularly.
I saw my doctor, he says cuz I’m over 35 and have stage 4 endometriosis on my bowels and stuck uterus to my bowels that I am too old and my eggs are bad and damaged by the endometriosis that I can’t get pregnant naturally and I need ivf and donor egg.
I don’t drink, smoke cigarettes or weed, and any drugs, I have way better healthy food and healthy and environment then I did when I was younger. It’s so frustrating hearing doctors using outdated data.
