I agree this was pretty amazing. Top notch professional commentary coupled with hard to pull off speedrunning tricks. These guys are the real deal!
And humor, don't forget the humor. Started to remind of a Bonesaw run towards the end there with the football references and the couch and runner taking stabs at each other, lol.

Anyway, I can totally understand what you're saying about forced jokes or when people are trying _too_ hard to be funny. It can get old and ruin a run. I actually didn't watch the whole thing (despite me saying "they were fun and energetic the whole time), but I guess I assumed it didn't get old toward the end. Perhaps it did.
Holy shit I've never actually seen the room full with seated people in any of these GDQ videos!

I can attempt to explain why on the jetski levels, moving back and forth saves time. If you're going straight, it takes a bit to move into a turn, but if you're already turning you can just continue that turn. That's where the saved time comes from.

The Nsane Trilogy is an amazing remake, but it's terrible for speedruns, because of all those loading screens

The loading time is like non existent anymore.
The slip off stuff can be annoying but i never noticed the hitbox problem. Maybe only at the scorpions.
Otherwise its still the best remake we could have got.
JHobz and Spikedvegeta always give great commentary from everything I've seen (only seen KH runs with them before this, but this was at least as good on the commentary)
The remakes are incredible, just amazing graphics totally having the spirit of the originals, i loved tose games so much and so happy to play them again like that. I mean, look at the tiger's level
the ps4 took forever to load...SSD on PC is soooo much quicker....

How did i not know they remade this for PS4?! I LOVED this game as a kid, it was one of the only games my brother and i liked playing together. Thank you!!
Activision (Blizzard), take notes. This is what happens when you actually listen your community and study them and you aren't there to rush the game or screw it in any other way. Not only they recreated and improved almost everything, they also stayed true to the original to the point where they actually ADD those small quirks that a part of community has been using. And what's even better, they proudly acknowledge them, throwing cheese at people using them. And nobody is surprised when customers unconditionally love these remakes.
I get your point, but kind of funny that this game is published by Activision.
Bro, the N.Sane trilogy plays NOTHING like the originals. The jumping and hitboxes are janky as hell with artstyle and music that somehow seem worse more than 20 years later. Playing the originals on an emulator at a higher resolution is an infinitely better experience.

It's amazing how the devs managed to tweak so many mechanics in this game yet somehow carried over most of the problems the original games had like the crystal hit box in the first jet ski level

man i love when they talk purely technical stuff ahaha this is entertaining!
People often say that the room was dead or they deserved more laughs/response than they got, but you gotta remember that the players are mic'd, not the room. The acoustics of that big space sucks a LOT of any audience ambience right out of the recording, you're not going to hear an accurate picture of how much noise the crowd was making. Usually they're a lot more responsive live than it sounds like in the video.

Crash 3 is a really sweet game, glad it could be remade in a faithful way.
I will never get over how much a downgrade the N.Sane trilogy was compared to the originals. Zero reason to play them over the originals.

Should have donated 100 for every time hobz slide was said. Very repetitive. Probably would have beat the sgdq total that he wanted though with this.

You can actually go in warp room 5 at the beginning and you only need to beat 6 levels (that includes cortex)
