I own a 2020 Chief Dark Horse, 20,000 trouble free miles. Indian missed the mark on the new Chief. 2020 has a 5.5 gal tank vs 4 on the 2024, suspension in the rear reduced from 4.5 to 3 inch. Rode the new one the ride of my 2020 much better. Waiting to see if they release anything 2025 I may want.
I've been waiting to buy a Chief Super Limited since last spring, because I wanted to see what the 2025 models were going to be. Heard rumors of engine increase changes and possible whole new bike in lineup. Local dealerships told me info would be released in October, then they told me around Thanksgiving,....now your saying January/February timeframe! I've been a Harley rider for over 30 years, and am really looking forward to my first Indian. Is this the normal way the Indian launches there new model lineups?
Indian typically has three times that they stagger the release of the next years bikes: at Sturgis Bike Rally in August, at the EICMA motorcycle show in November, and at their dealer meeting in January. The choice of which models get released when is made internally, and no one outside the factory knows.
I am probably wrong, but I think an American made parallel twin in the 650-700 cc range to compete with the Royal Enfield would be a good move for Indian?
No pricing available? I would like the Chieftain if they could do something with that fairing, not the most appealing style in my opinion. Thanks for the update
Bit disappointed with this line up, a re-launch of the Scout 60! The last of the Classic Springfield only 50 available! The standard Roadmaster Elite but still air cooled. Looks like they are starting to move away from the classic Indian looks. I would love to see an entry model around a 750cc with a classic design. Suppose the water-cooled engines for the Roadmaster will be released mid 2025 for 2026 as per the Scout 1250 was?
Indian has already told its dealers that the FTR will be canceled in 2025. Makes no sense to walk away from it entirely given their flat track dominance. I would expect to see them take a year off and introduce a production 750 that will allow them to return and compete on the flat track. I think in the interim, the FTR 1200 will become a classic, so if you want one, now is the time to pull the trigger. Afterwards, they will attract top dollar, similar to the Harley Dyna Low Rider S.
Would love to know if that's true about the FTR, the way the market is going you would have thought they would develop it into an Adventure bike as that's the most popular style of bike by far at the moment.
My city is getting 1 Roadmaster Elite. And my name is on it. Sadly I was hoping it would be the first to get a air cooled 122 engine. 116 is still fantastic however.
The new stuff is coming out in the new year. It's going to be exciting. I work at a dealership. Sales. Be patient guys
Is there going to be a new 5th Chief model added to lineup with bigger engine?
Indian needs to pick up is game when it comes to color selection.
If Indian doesn't update the bikes or lower the price it's going to be hard to compete with the new Harleys
Absolutely Spectacular Bikes, Truly Love The Amazing Indian Motorcycles ❤️🥇🇺🇸 !!!

So far its a snooze fest. 💤 Nothing remotely exciting enough to replace my 17 Roadmaster.

Great video! The fact that they are updating anything in this economy is amazing.

Very informative. Thank you. Hoping for some minor updates to the Springfield so I can get a bagger.
