      37x12.5R17 tires. No lift yet. Just stock Rubicon suspension, but 2" AEV lift going on soon.

    Did you have to remove the heat shield to install the slip-on? Did you trim the bolt with the rubber tip before the bracket could be removed?

      I didn't use loctite on the skidplate since it has to come off for every oil change. If you do, use the temp stuff!

    Triumph does a have an aftermarket passenger seat. If you go off looks, Triumph will get more.

    I hate the high pipes on scramblers so i like this one, and most of the people complaining about how the cast wheels will break off-road will never ride anything rough enough to pop a tire. Too many parrots on youtube. Great video.

    Boutique sales…that may work for Rolex but in America we don’t view HD as rich man’s bikes…even though they are expensive that isn’t the attitude in the states

    When you ran the wires from the front to the back, did you lift the tank and if so, how is that done? I see a bolt at the rear side of the tank but is there anything else that needs to be disconnected to lift/remove the tank? Thanks! Great video! I subscribed because of this video. 😎

      Thank you! I didn't lift the tank. I attached along the frame at the front of the tank, then removed the small plastic side cover at the rear side of the tank and used that space to secure, then go under the seat. Seemed to work great.

    There are two different types of riders. 1. Those who would ride a dirty bike. 2. Those who wouldn't. The second group enjoys customising and cleaning their bikes just as much as riding it. You obviously dont belong in the second group otherwise you would understand when a new bike comes out with hundreds of OEM aftermarket aaccessories ready for the market, each of which has taken $$$ in design & R&D, that cost is partly put on the price of the motorycle itself. Good luck finding customising parts for a brand new italian or japanese bike. Thats why harley has a following unlike any other. Something you will never understand.

      @@RidgeRoamer That goes without a saying. I have already hit the "don't recommend the channel" option. And you took a swing at all Harleys with that juvenile "dollar per HP" comment. Try customizing a newly introduced Japanese bike & you will instantly learn the value of hundreds of OEM custom parts made available by the manufacturer almost immediately after the bike is introduced.

      @xxARAtaixx I've owned dozens of bikes, from almost every manufacturer, including Harleys. Never had a problem finding parts to customize and accessorize any of them. And you can't argue that Harley Davidson offers some of the most expensive AND lowest performance bikes on the market. That's just fact. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    PREVIOUS model scouts do not like the freeway. Without fork fairings its sucks. I solved that issue fast

    H&B has for 2024 GT ? I hear the pannier racks and crash bars on 2024 GT Pro are not compatable with 22,23. Things moved around and no 3rd party has them yet for 24' . Disappointing as Shad had them for eyars 22,23. to match my boxes.

    The data layout on the tft would e allot better; menus for coolant temps. another screen for tpms, another for each vs showing allot on one screeen; then bening able to scroll thru each screen with one finger on the left. For Asia; the heated; anything is a waste of a button that hopefully can be used for another purpose. A flick of the finger to go from normal display to the next that has everying else you need.!!

      They are the same. Both are rated right around 40mpg, and will vary slightly up or down depending on how you ride.

    Nice video. I put engine bars and skid plate in aluminium. I thought skid plate was an useful piece...[the mechanic told me that the ones fitted as standard were good]. However for you it's useful....I'm happy..but its normal sometimes I hear "noise" from it?

    Thank you for posting this very detailed and informative video. The timing of it (1 hour ago) could not be better for me. I recently bought a Scrambler 400X and ordered the very accessories you detail in this video two weeks ago when I scheduled my initial service which is tomorrow morning. I had wondered if I should do it or have them install the crash bars and skid plate and after seeing the installation making a young man break a sweat, I'm glad I opted to have them do it. The Scramble 400 is a GREAT bike. My Bonnies are going to be sitting in the shed a lot this summer.

      Really? I dream the Bonneville but I bought Scrambler 400x cause it's my first motorcycle... Why di you prefer Scrambler than Bonneville? Just for weight? However I did 750 km....its nice bike

      @@malcolm426 Congratulations on your wise choice for a first bike. Frankly, you are better off with the Scrambler 400 than a Bonneville to develop your riding skills. The weight is indeed a big consideration. The reason my Bonnies will be chilling in the shed most of the summer is I live in a primitive road rich environment. My Bonnevilles will not be taken there and it has been a while since I could ride in the woods. Don't give up on your Bonneville dream, just be patient and keep your Scrambler when your dream comes about.

      @frankmarkovcijr5459 oh yea. I'm talking about fork fenders, though. It creates lift like an airfoil and it keeps the forks from twitching at high speed. This bike sucks without it. It also counters cross winds as it blows the air in a triangle. I'll show a video soon

    I like the old fashioned kind of crashbars. They protect more of the bike. I run crashbars on all of my street bikes. Much simpler to install as well. No center stand? All bikes with chain drive should have center stand stock.

      Agreed. Sadly, the massive catalytic converter nullifies the possibility of a center stand. That is the only negative I can find with this bike.

      @@421Rider my CX500 had a massive collector box on it where a catalytic converter would be now. It had a center stand. Many bikes have both converters and center stands so they could have one as well.

      @@frankmarkovcijr5459 Location of the CC is the issue here. I installed center stands on both my Bonnevilles, but the CC on the Scrambler 400X is behind the engine rather than in the normal under the engine location. It sits right where the pivot shaft and center stand would go. If somebody figures out a way to install a center stand for this bike, I'll be the first one in line to get it.

    Went for the lower bars but not the upper ones. Just felt they were too intrusive. Also have the tank protector and metal skid plate. Nice video.

    You could put the camera on a tripod, and then point to the parts of the motorcycle that you're talking about.

    Did it ever occur to you not to move the camera around? Doing so is extremely irritating, and it prevents the viewer from seeking the bike. If you want to show something, okay, then maybe you have to chanage the camera position. But moving the camera around just ruins the video.

    As a 6ft 250lber its been tough finding a beginner bike that feels comfortable that isnt an enduro or a 600lb cruiser. Ill have to take a look at this.

    If I was in charge it wouldn’t because I would make a line that was old school without all the electronics that you can work on and unlimited customization! I know it’s not for everyone but there’s a market for it because of all the people looking for older models that doesn’t have all the confusing electronics

    I kind of like the voice over - the one bad thing about it is the additional effort it took you to do it! Watching this from a very different country, I find this quite interesting. Many of your modifications would not be allowed where I live. But still interesting and nice to see. Hope to see any updates!

    Hi from the UK.. I was big Ducati fan, but then had family and so other stuff more important. I'm now wanting to get back into bikes but as born again biker just want something easy to ride and not balls to the wall. Really like the looks of these Triumphs the scrambler might be just the thing .
