After seeing your video, I looked up the Level step through since I do a lot of road riding and little off-road. I've owned a Blackbird for 2 years and love it. I wouldn't ride anything else when the roads are wet and slick. Sadly, the Level is a 750W PEAK motor. On my daily commute to the gym, I climb a couple of "steeper" hills. My Blackbird takes them with power to spare. That's what I'd want in a "skinny" tire commuter.

Aventon has always impressed me with their build quality. Take a look at the welds. They almost don't even exist. It looks like 1 fluid piece of metal. The incredible paint job goes a long way too. I've dreamed of opening up an ebike store of my own and I would love to carry Aventon as the main brand.

Go do a search at the aventon website, and check the dealer locator. You will find when clicking on more than half their stated dealers, their brand is no longer shown on the dealers website. Aventon moved most of their inventory to direct customers, and short changed dealers the entire year. They lied to dealers all year long, saying they would likely run out of stock, when in fact there was plenty in stock for direct on line buyers. Now they are selling thru big box discounters, and claiming dealers will service the big box sales. No dealer is going to put up with that crap.
We have the Level and love riding them. We are 69 years old and now actually get out and ride instead of talking about it. Great bikes. Commuter tires are what most people over 60 y/o would enjoy more than fat tire mt. bike set ups. So happy to hear that you are carrying Aventons.
Just got Aventon Aventure. It is fast off the line and hit 33.1 mph. Good brakes, looks, components. The lights are bright, real bright. Love the bike.
I own an Aventon Aventure and so far I’m loving it. The only thing I wish I could change was I wish the cadence sensor and throttle were a little faster to respond. I know Bolton has made upgrades to ebikes in the past so it would be awesome if you guys could figure out how to make the system a little more responsive/sporty!
smoothed welds are a gimmick. its a joke on the next gens, as the welds and obvious smoothing is so uneven, that every bike looks different. you can get stuck with one that looks like unfinished clay bowl. smooth in parts, very uneven in others. do not buy on line or sight unseen like at best buy. you will regret it. batteries are popping out all over the place on next gens.
Love my folding Aventon Sinch bike. Fits neatly in back of my CUV wagon, which is the point in buying Sinch. Plenty of torque. Run 15 lbs air in fat tires to cushion bumps for spine, plus I’m not a light weight, so the battery is done before 20 miles. But 16 is plenty, maybe 18. I’m retired age. I call bike “hill leveler”, very much appreciate that!! Getting a drop seat for flick of lever and seat will drop approx 4” for easy on/off and to keep feet flat on ground for safer stops than up on tiptoes. Back tire is quite worn down at 1500 miles due to low air pressure plus “ballast”. I love the e-assist, it’s like subtracting 30 years off age.
I just bought the Aventon Pace 500 Step Through, in Size Small. I absolutely love this Ebike! I would buy it again. I highly recommend it. My son has tried it, and now hes planning to purchase one too.
Very cool, I daily commute an Aventon Level step over Large frame, it gets great range and while I try to go minimal pedal assist when I am running late and want to get home fast on the same day I can do my 11.6 mile commute in PA3 in about 35-40 min depending on traffic and lights. great commuter highly recommend looking into it if you are on pavement and hard packed dirt trails mostly. it can do some off road trails but the tires really are more for the urban setting. would love for Bolton to do like you do with radbikes and make some upgrade kits of the Aventon models namely a option to add a second battery easily. If i could throw another half KWh-1Kwh battery onboard I woudl be very interested in a kit. +
Great brand & Customer care/support. Aventon has a USA office in Brea, CA. I've had the Sinch model for over a year now over 1500 miles very happy. a friend just bought the Aventure step over as he is taller heavier and does not need to fold it. he loves it!!
Have had my Aventon for 2 months and have over 200 miles on it and love every mile. First day I rode it a car even cut me off while going about 15 mph. Those hydraulic brakes are worth every cent, stopping me within 10 feet and avoiding the care with 2 feet to spare and the old lady driving the car got mad at me fo scaring her! The on thing you might want to get is a bell though.
Glad you avoided a hit, she a fool to get mad at a much smaller bike when she comes out ahead. I was not so lucky, a car drove straight in, 90 degree angle. Went up on hood then road rash pavement. Fractured ankle. Non-weight bearing for a looong 16 weeks. It was Aventon Sinch folding bike, it came out surprisingly well. Just a bent seat post and seat to replace. Un-do a small bend in chain guard, I suspect where my ankle fractured with car bumper on other side. I’m slayed the spokes and wheels came out AOK. The electronic glass top control unit came out AOK as well. I was the cushion for the bike. Never saw my shoes again, is weird. Glad to still be kicking around, I’m no spring chicken.
We have 4 Aventon bikes, I have the sm Adventure Step through and really love it at 73 yr old. Both sons have the step over Adventure, and my wife has the Pace 500 in a small. She is 5.1 so she can touch the ground and is comfortable. Tha Adventon bikes are built way better than the Rad bikes...
They hydroform the frame in a mold after welding the parts together. That's how they get the amazing profiles, while the welds also practically disappear.
@@Beerbatter1962 they grind them after hydroforming. welds are very uneven on all new models. its a travesty really. the grinding weakens the frame, for pure cosmetics. no structural benefit at all.
I have a step through Aventure and it's a great bike, though could do with a higher gear ratio. but is great in traffic and the racks turn this into a pretty good cargo hauler as well when I do the shopping
Okay we have two Adventure Step Throughs. Love the bikes except for the surging. It’s just not a smooth transition of power. It just takes off. If you are on off trails the only answer is to feather the throttle. Great value but I wish they would solve the surging power.
I felt the same about the surging. Rad bikes are super smooth but have good power. I take my Rad City Plus/Rover Plus (own two) to the beach (on sand), trails, streets… it performs excellent with a predictable acceleration.
I decided to go with the Aventon 500 pace bike. I haven't bought it yet but it's the one especially for the price. I wish it had a suspension but it's OK. My local dealer has them and offers a year of free mobile service if you have any issues.
Really like My Aventon Aventure Step Thru. 2 Things Im trying to fine tune is Im trying to find a more comfortable set up on the seat and I would like to wire in a second battery or get my hands on a spare. Right now Aventon is not offering a second backup battery on this model.

love the aventure but customer service sucks. my bike was down for about 2 months waiting for parts and for them to figure out why it would not run. Very slow to respond to emails.
So reviewing your web site it looks like you are selling these bikes for same price as Aventon on their site. The onem difference is you are selling the in store only I guess meaning you won't ship them free. Also wondering if you will be handling any warranty issues for these bikes and stocking replacement parts.
as of 7/12/22 only one aventon model on kyles website. he found out how badly aventon screws its dealers and customers. dealers leaving aventon in droves.

Love my Aventon, however, wish pedal cranks were shorter as pedal strikes are too common. Would also like to have more rear gears for better climbing and smaller front sprocket for less ground strikes. I find #1 pedal assist almost useless. But overall, bike loves hills.
I have one of these and one thing that IMO is a problem is when you turn on the headlight the display goes so dim that you can not read it. The speedometer is also off 1 MPH, thus the mileage is also off.

I own a Level, while its a decent bike, I tried everything to make it comfortable. A dropper, large Velo Spring seat, aftermarket bars and stem riser, throttle on demand. Just doesn't work for me, I'm more of a off road trail riding guy I guess. Tip, don't buy the medium size if you are an adult, unless you are 5.6 or less, its too small.

Hi, My Aventure bike started having a problem with no power to the hub, after using the rear brake lever. By unplugging the cable/wire from the right brake lever I can now ride it. So far Aventon hasn't responded. It's still under warranty, but I was hoping you had some idea. Pushing the lever back to the top doesn't help. I was thinking that I'd have to short out the plug, but apparently, it's a normally open switch in the lever enclosure. Thanks

My aventon came with three things broke. . The throttle, the front brakes, and the lock out fork..its all noted by a bike shop. Aventon is not even trying to help and the delay in the motor coming on gets on my nerves. And this is the dealer I got it from that can't get aventon to ship my parts and it's been 7 months now. They say one year warranty BUT ITS A BIG LIE.
To update my aventure bike that is now 8 months old .. the battery stopped charging.. With the brakes I have continuous bleeding problems.. These are not hydraulic brakes like you see on a motorcycle... They are a toy version of that... I totally regret paying $2000 for this part... It's the biggest waste of money I have ever spent... and aventon never came thru with fixing anything under the warranty... but it's not just this brand that has a ghost warranty, it's many brands in the 2000 dollars or less range, if u want a real quality bike u have to spend 5 grand and up and that will buy you a nice motor bike of some kind. Before you buy aventon ask for the warranty in writing and you will see the real aventon u need to see.
the aventure proprietary charging plug is stupid. there was no reason to do that, and make getting a replacement charger damned near impossible. I wouldn't buy this bike again for that reason alone. they should have used the same barrel connector they used on EVERY OTHER BIKE THEY MAKE.
why on earth would you carry a brand that screws and undermines its dealers ? creates competition hurting your business by selling cheaper than you can on line. pushes their defect ridden garbage thru Worst Buy stores, who cant service them. aventon ?seriously ? you can do way better .
Numerous quality issues with aventon. Kyle does not know what he is talking about. Their ebike quality has dropped significantly in the past year. Every model is plagued with problems. Brake failures. Controller failures. Pedal assist sensor failures. Battery failures. Stuck batteries. Batteries falling out while riding. Tires blowing out on the levels. Even their once smoothed welds are showing up rough and not smooth. Kyle couldn’t have chosen a worse time to pick up this brand. He’s going to regret with numerous issues forcing him to get into long distance repairs if he is dumb enough to ship these all over.

I was considering the Aventure or the Blackbird after both these models blew the competition out of the water....until...well, I'll just say this, my Wife is a retired QA/QC Manager for a company that makes parts for the auto industry. I sent her 3 video reviewing this bike...she watched one and said she would 'reject' it for 5 different flaws and she never finished the video. She says they attempt to hide too much and the welds on said review bike were 'off'.🤷♂️ Sent the same video to a Friend who is a welder and he scoffed at the welds, pointing out the flaws and agreeing with my Wife without knowing what she said. He said "they hide the fact they have no stack"...???? Don't have a clue what that means, I'm no welder. Told my Wife what he said and she laughed saying, "Told ya so!" I have this same bike, I like the fact there a bit of a lag in the power,but every one likes different things.But I do love the bike

We have had 2 Aventures for about 5 months. They are awesome! No problems that you wouldn't have with any other bike. We love them!

Could you demonstrate a trike off road model which compensates for bad balance caused by loss of limb.

I still love my Himiway escape. Almost 1000 miles and little to no issues. (Front basket is a disaster but not a huge deal)

Good bike but went with RAD City Plus. 2,000 miles later I love my RAD more. I have all the rack and storage accessories so I’m ready for any type of ride. Store, beach, picnic… ebikes are awesome
rad is superior in many ways. aventon going downhill into the toilet with its poor quality on all new models, and subpar batterys.
I have been looking at getting a couple, 1 for my wife and 1 for me… My wife is 5’6” tall, I am 6’3”.. looking for advice. Wanting Big Power and basket capable for my wife’s bike.

Can anyone help figure out if the Aventon bikes are capable of pulling toddler trailers?
I believe it does as trailers are optional on the website...esp for this powerful ebike, trailers should be easy to tow.
I JUST purchased an Aventon Adventure and it worked for 4 SECONDS! The power keeps cutting off. VERY DISSAPOINTED to say the least.

Hi, My Aventure bike started having a problem with no power to the hub, after using the rear brake lever. By unplugging the cable/wire from the right brake lever I can now ride it. So far Aventon hasn't responded. It's still under warranty, but I was hoping you had some idea. Pushing the lever back to the top doesn't help. I was thinking that I'd have to short out the plug, but apparently, it's a normally open switch in the lever enclosure. Thanks
aventon wont help you, unless you make a big stink on the owners fb group.
I wish they had a electric bike on the southside of Indianapolis Indiana in southern Plaza area to they do got big buildings and small buildings and medium buildings that a bike shop can be wrong in because a lot of people do ride their bike around the neighborhood and and they need a bike shop to go to in case something was to happen to their bike the address is 4202 South East Street that's right there in southern Plaza area like I said I wish they hadn't electric e-bikes store along with regular bike and eBay and all the bike accessories that would be cool maybe this gentleman here that's doing this video maybe he can open up some more business and maybe put one on this outside and I like how you can just step over that one because I'm up in the age and that would be easy for me to do but he needs to do different electric e-bikes so we can all do our homework right now keep up the video and think about what I said have one on the southside of Indianapolis Indiana I gave you the address at Southern Plaza area and that will be great I need to boost up their business so they can have cool bike shops for electric e-bikes or maybe little Buffet which I do miss right now think about what I said and you might want to stop and see me at Krogers if I'm there and say I like your idea I want to give you a free bike and what color do you like I wish they'd come in neon yellow in case if you had the right at night if he kind of bright people can't miss you but for right now that's just a dream maybe might come true I don't know yet I don't have enough money to get one because I've been in the hospital just the other day on the gallbladder surgery have a blessed day

I absolutely hate some of the dumbass laws we have in Canada. In Ontario, 500W motor is the most you can legally have. I want this exact bike so bad. Oh well. Hello RadRover :(

My aventon came with three things broke.
. The throttle, the front brakes, and the lock out fork..its all noted by a bike shop. Aventon is not even trying to help and the delay in the motor coming on gets on my nerves.
And this is the dealer I got it from that can't get aventon to ship my parts and it's been 7 months now. They say one year warranty BUT ITS A BIG LIE.
many bike shops reporting same thing. most dropping aventon like kyle obviously has . 1 sinch st left on his website.
To update my aventure bike that is now 8 months old .. the battery stopped charging.. With the brakes I have continuous bleeding problems.. These are not hydraulic brakes like you see on a motorcycle... They are a toy version of that... I totally regret paying $2000 for this part... It's the biggest waste of money I have ever spent... and aventon never came thru with fixing anything under the warranty... but it's not just this brand that has a ghost warranty, it's many brands in the 2000 dollars or less range, if u want a real quality bike u have to spend 5 grand and up and that will buy you a nice motor bike of some kind.
Before you buy aventon ask for the warranty in writing and you will see the real aventon u need to see.
the aventure proprietary charging plug is stupid. there was no reason to do that, and make getting a replacement charger damned near impossible. I wouldn't buy this bike again for that reason alone. they should have used the same barrel connector they used on EVERY OTHER BIKE THEY MAKE.
why on earth would you carry a brand that screws and undermines its dealers ? creates competition hurting your business by selling cheaper than you can on line. pushes their defect ridden garbage thru Worst Buy stores, who cant service them. aventon ?seriously ? you can do way better .
Numerous quality issues with aventon. Kyle does not know what he is talking about. Their ebike quality has dropped significantly in the past year. Every model is plagued with problems. Brake failures. Controller failures. Pedal assist sensor failures. Battery failures. Stuck batteries. Batteries falling out while riding. Tires blowing out on the levels. Even their once smoothed welds are showing up rough and not smooth. Kyle couldn’t have chosen a worse time to pick up this brand. He’s going to regret with numerous issues forcing him to get into long distance repairs if he is dumb enough to ship these all over.
My Aventon Aventure is perfect. Not a single issue with it! Either you got a lemon or you work for another bike company and are pulling a Putin on us!

I was considering the Aventure or the Blackbird after both these models blew the competition out of the water....until...well, I'll just say this, my Wife is a retired QA/QC Manager for a company that makes parts for the auto industry. I sent her 3 video reviewing this bike...she watched one and said she would 'reject' it for 5 different flaws and she never finished the video. She says they attempt to hide too much and the welds on said review bike were 'off'.🤷♂️ Sent the same video to a Friend who is a welder and he scoffed at the welds, pointing out the flaws and agreeing with my Wife without knowing what she said. He said "they hide the fact they have no stack"...???? Don't have a clue what that means, I'm no welder. Told my Wife what he said and she laughed saying, "Told ya so!" Something every Husband LOVES hearing!🤣😅🤣😂🤣😂🙄😎
