      Unfortunately, you’re wrong about Aventon being in 1000 bike shops. Their website is a little misleading because a lot of those bike shops don’t carry or sell the bikes they just do repairs on the bikes.

      @@kerusso3568 If this is true, it's a real pity. I provide brakes (Bengal) that are used on their eBikes, but I have found it hard to create a distribution channel with them. Hopefully business with them will pick up. Doing so would help for their branding, or else their just being a dime a dozen eBike brands.

    As much as I am impressed with the Aventure2, I ordered the Level.2 instead. My retail shop owner cautioned me about riding the Aventure2 on paved streets more often than on off-road conditions. He mentioned the fat tires will have a tendency to wear out more on pavement than on dirt trails. Replacing 4" inch tires can be a bit pricy. The Aventure2 weighs more at 77lbs, versus the Level.2 at 62lbs. I'm getting older (70), so lifting heavier bicycles onto a bike rack may be challenging.

      Why not the Pace 500? Its another 10lbs lighter and upright is more comfortable than leaning forward like on the Level 2

      Well, since writing this comment, I purchased the Aventon Aventure 2. So now I have both bikes!! In addition, I sold my old bike rack and purchased a new one that has an attachable ramp. It easily handles the combined weight of two eBikes with their batteries on board. So, problem solved! I might add, I ordered the R (regular) size Aventure; just a little easier to handle. I gotta say, the Aventure is now my go-to bike; I really love it. I should also mention that although the Level.2 is considered a commuter bike, it doesn't have turn signals like the Aventure does... go figure. Aventon needs to add it.

    great Aventon review.... I'm almost 70 and recently bought the Soltera 7 large frame in the yellow color - it looks and performs great..... I did add a shock absorbing seat, fenders and rear rack.... pretty sure I'll be adding the swept back handle bars with maybe an adjustable stem.... one of the best features about the Soltera is it's relatively lightweight giving you the rider the ability to ride efficiently without pedal assist if you want to.... I've owned a Rad Power Wagon, City and Mini 2..... but for me I like the Soltera best, cheers.....

    I purchased the Abound after riding the other cargo bikes. I immediately knew it was the bike to buy after riding it only a few minutes. The only thing I wish it had, a fat tire option because I live in a rural community and there are lots of grassy areas I cross on my daily rides.

    I'm impressed with the Pace 500. It's a great city bike that is really easy to maneuver. A full 25lbs lighter than the Aventure.2, which is a bigger deal than I think most people realize. Great for a casual or entry level eBike.
    As a side note, it can pass for a traditional bike, which is actually quite useful. People are less likely to complain if you ride on shared paths and it's not immediately obvious as an eBike when on a bike rack.

    I switched to Aventon just two weeks ago. I previously had a Velotric Discover 1, but after horrible customer service with them I switched to Aventon.
    I purchased the Level.2 and the quality jump was instantaneous. Everything from the welding to the paint job to the action to the comfort, it's all there. My previous ebike also was not serviced locally, but Aventon is which really helps.
    I'm on the Aventon fanboy train.

      I ordered a battery, initially it was backordered then it was quickly made available. I then went on to order the cover plate and it was $15.00 shipping for a $12.50 part. I emailed them, they covered shipping and the part. Aventon customer support is first class. If their products weren't competitive it might still be worth buying from them. I talked to the dealership, buy with confidence from Aventon.

    Last year I purchased the Aventon Level 2 model. I love it. It is about 10-12 lbs. heavier than my previous e-bike but it feels much more sturdy and the ride is smoother. I am a 5' 4.5" woman. I only wish the step-thru was about 1-2" lower. The bike is a beauty and those smooth welds add to the classic look. Nice purchase. If I had the room, I'd sure like the cargo bike! Oh, and since I've been an avid bicycle rider for years, in 2017 when I first was aware of e-bikes I tried a cadence sensored bike of one of my workmates. It was a weird feeling, I felt out of control for sure. I thought I'd have to get used to it. But then discovered a torque sensored e-bike at a bicycle show and it was just like the bike riding I'd been used to. Torque all the way for me. Good reviews, thanks.

      @jamesbonham5383 - I went with the Aventure.2. I'll be picking it up this Sunday. I test rode a large frame. It's what the bike shop had. It sold itself. I bought a Med. frame. I'm 5'8", and I thought the Lrg. was fine, but I might want to get a suspension seat post and the Med. would accommodate that better.
      For a cargo bike, the Abound isn't as big as I'd imagined, and I really liked that, but the Aventure.2 can also carry cargo, so I felt it would be a better fit.

    I have the Pace 500.3. For the price point, it's a good bike. I chose it over the Level 2 because of the adjustable stem - I wanted a more upright position. I have around 400 miles on it. I have a couple of complaints though. The brakes squeak, and it's been that way almost from day one. I've done all the usual things to stop the squeak without success. Cleaning the rotors and replacing brake pads doesn't solve the problem. My bike shop says that it's a common complaint for this bike. He suggested that I put better rotors on, and of course, replace brake pads at the same time. I really like this bike, so I'll replace the rotors/pads and hope that it solves the problem.

    I ride an Aventure 2 can’t say enough about it. I am a 6’2” 270 lb rider who rode all the time before marriage kid’s business travel career etc. this bike brought back the riding spirit in me. I live in a very hilly region that makes bike travel difficult however the Aventure 2 can handle anything. Off road on road 16% grades you name it with my shrinking fat A#%*. I added a suspension seat post that has eliminated all butt soreness and had made riding like on a cloud. I ride almost exclusively in PAS 1 (eco mode) and I get about 45 miles per charge riding in extreme hilly conditions (5 -10 mile rides with 1200-2500 ft total elevation gains.

The fat tires have held up extremely well. I run the psi at 20 psi any lower than that and it will really take away from your range. We picked up the Commuter for my wife and she loves it. I ordered basic Aventure from a company with no communication so i ordered the Sinch.2 directly from Aventon. I just bought a pace 500.3 based on so many positive TH-cam reviews. Although it's a nice bike I don't know if I want to keep it. It has several considerable design flaws in the way that the torque sensor (assist levels) are implemented among other things. I'm pretty good with bike wrenching and assembly but this bike has taken so many hours to get running properly, brakes squealing and shifting issues. The out of the box adjustment settings made the bike unusable after assembly. None of this is ever mentioned in reviews. The reviews are always about how great the bikes are and what features they have. Nothing critical is almost ever mentioned of any substance.

      Wow! I'm having the exact same problems with my brand new Pace 500.3. It's currently at bike shop getting the brake pads checked, but they called me saying that it didn't fix the brakes from squealing and that it's going to need a lot more repairs. They also mentioned something about the piston not being aligned properly.
      I agree that none of the reviews I've watched mentioned any of these problems, which is super frustrating. I've usually do a ton of research before making a purchase that expensive so to spend all that time and the bike is still having a ton of issues is pretty frustrating.

    Ryan, may I suggest you use the ball of your foot on the pedal, instead of the arch? It makes a lot of difference in how long you can ride without fatigue, and puts your foot at far less risk of catching the pavement below on turns, which can cause serious injury.

    Try like none. They are losing dealers left and right. Quality control this year has been abysmal, and they are basically focused on D2C. Support to D2C purchases is bad though. Many dealers switching to Denago. Better support. Better quality control. Better margins and not being undermined by Best Buy and all the Aventon D2c promo's. Aventon losing staff too. They are becoming like Rad power. Too big for their britches and not doing well by the dealers who made them. very sad saga.

      do you have sources for any of these claims or is that like just your opinion? i was at two different shops yesterday they had nothing negative to say about them.

      The Better Business Bureau rates Aventon as an F. I checked Rad Power Bikes and himiway and they rated A. All three had customer complaints on BBB but Aventon did not resolve a higher percentage than the other two. Also, I noted that Aventon took in many instances, months to write a reply to BBB. Others responded within days. So, yes, I am concerned about buying the Level 2, my favorite of all bikes in this category. I’ll check out Denago. Thanks very much for the warning.

    A few things, it would be nice to know the manufactures of the motors and batteries, Also the Newton/meters of the motors.

    • @EbikeEscape
      @EbikeEscape  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately that info is not available. Generally companies brand their own batteries and motors from suppliers.

    Tall rider , if the Level 2 is to small what can I look at? 6 ft 5 in, 260lbs.
    Thanks

      Look into a kbo or something similar. I just bought an Aventon Pace and it broke within 10 miles of coming out of the box.

    I'm going with the Level rather than the Aventure primarily because of the weight difference. Since 99% of my riding will be on totally flat paved surfaces, I don't need the added power of the Aventure, and the thought of trying to load one onto a bike rack is daunting. The only thing the Aventure has that I wish the Level also had is turn signals, and yet the Level is sold by Aventon as a "commuter" bike. Go figure.

    Can all the aventon bikes use a child seat like the yuppie max? I have a daughter and would need a child seat cause she's only two and can't ride by herself

      Nope, at least not direct from Aventon. You'll want to check out the Abound.

    Adventure2 or Level.2? Which one is the better bike?

    • @EbikeEscape
      @EbikeEscape  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to pin-point as they are for different types of riding. They are both good ebikes, but if you need fat tires I would go with the Aventure. if you are doing more city riding then the Level.2 is the better option.

  • @Kaeden_Hahn

    Is it wrong that I want the sinch 2.0 but don’t plan on folding it? I love the fat tires but the aventure 2 is too big for me.
    I’ve looked into the level 2 but I’m not completely sold.

    • @EbikeEscape
      @EbikeEscape  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nothing wrong with that, I tell people that all the time. Just because it can folds, doesn't mean you ever have to.

    • @Kaeden_Hahn
      @Kaeden_Hahn ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EbikeEscape Besides the speed, is the riding difference between the level 2 and the sinch 2 similar?
      Also, is the Sinch 2 awkward to carry when folded? I didn't see any locking mechanism to keep it folded, I'm hoping it dosn't flail like a dead fish! haha
      Thanks!
