    In conclusion of the whole entire video to save your time: Salt and water only worked a little bit. Tea tree oil helps. Don’t touch or move piercing.

    Actually, when you wiggle the piercing and let the tea tree oil on the inside, it harshly dries out the inside of the piercing which you don’t want. When I used the tea tree oil to treat my piercing, I put a little drop on my finger and just applied it on the outside of the keloid. Then I would take a bit of homemade sea salt paste and put it on top of the tea tree oil. I left it for 20 min and then just wiped it off. Got rid of mine in 2 days. Do it in the morning and at night.

    • @rebeccagoodridge1626

      Those kind of bumps that form are actually not keloids. Keloids are different and WILL NOT go away without a medical professional. What she had and what many people experience with their piercings are actually not keloids but hypertrophic scarring like she mentioned

    Hi, Laurie. This was a great video. I'll try your remedy. I did four piercings in my ears, and I developed that in both ears. The piercings are totally healed as I did them in December, but they never disappear. When I put my earrings on, it's difficult to find the hole, and there's a transparent liquid which goes out from it. Then my ears hurt a bit. When I remove them at night, it is bigger and irritated, and more liquid goes out. In some cases, there's a bit of blood too. As my ears hurt, then I don't wear earrings for four or five days, and the ears get better. But then the same happend again, I don't find the holes and when I put earrings, they get irritated. After seven months, it still happens.
    I hope that your remedy works. Thanks again. I found your channel recently and I subscribed because I think that your videos are interesting. The first time I saw it was due to your video about things that Dutch don't like. Ik leer een beetje Nederlands. Het is een mooie taal. 🙃
    Many kisses. 😘

    It’s actually how you treat , how you are caring while it’s healing. Leave alone and clean twice a days rinse and soak it with salt and warm water. I’ve used plastic syringe to soak it and try not to touch or bump it. It’s a struggle for having a helix piercing I had to literally sleep in the ground so my husband and my son won’t hit it while we are sleeping.

    Its so weird because I have an surface tragus piercing. The top healed very well. But the bottom keeps getting infected with a keloid bump.. I use the Dial antibacterial soap (Gold) 2x a day & clairs piercing cleanser and mixed with tea tree oil.. 2x a day... Now its going away.. My question is how does it come only on the bottom piercing & how do I keep it from coming back.. What should I be using to keep piercing from being dry after bump leaves completely..

    Help :( I had my first cartilage piercing around the last week of August. I felt like my ear was burning right after but I didnt really mind it. The place where i got it told me i shouldn't take it off for one month just enough time for it to heal so i didnt. Sometimes it would get pulled caught in my hair, or pressure applied when I sleep, and that one time my friend accidentally hit it with her hand. There are days it didnt hurt and days it did. I have very hyperactive friends lol they hit it sometimes by accident. Anyway, yesterday I noticed a dot of blood on my pillow and I switched my pillow on the other side, slept, and woke up finding another dot so i was sure it was from my pierce. I just took it off now and there's a little bump around the earhole. There was a drop of blood that went out first but just little, and the next was sort of a water-like discharge. Wiped it off four times and now im just staring at this bump. What should I do? Should I take it off for a week or not? Im afraid it might close. But im also afraid of this bump

    Hey guys, so I got my lip piercing on November 5, 2018 and I got a hypotrophic scar months ago, and I've only been doing sea salt soaks twice daily and it isn't doing anything. Our car is out in the shop right now and I'm crying over my lip ring, idk what to do. If I can get to a shop that sells tea tree oil and Advil, what kind do you guys suggest? Exactly how should I prepare the solution, and how long should I leave it on the outside of my piercing where the redness and little bump is? Please help, I'm really desperate and so ready to give up on my piercing. Thank you!

Also I get it snagged on my mask for work all the time, and just 5 minutes ago I got it caught on my shirt and ripped it out and broke the stud. I give tf up. I have never had problems with my nipples, belly or ears- just my nose. Hopefully now with it gone it will heal.

    This dreaded nose ring bump is the WORST. My piercer reassured me it’s completely normal and not a keloid but I hate having an ugly bump 😖 might try diluted tea tree to see if it helps. It got a lot better but I bumped it and now it’s swollen again. So temperamental! I was told aspirin will temporarily work but it could come back again. Piercer told me it’s a consistency/waiting game for it to heal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so 2-3 months later I’ve continued being diligent and hoping it improves...

    I don’t think putting tea tree oil directly on a piercing is good because it’s really drying so what I did a while ago is take a smart water bottle and added like two drops of tea tree oil to it and whenever I my ear gets really bad I shake it up and dab a little on with a disinfected finger (don’t use q tips the fibers can cause more irritation) and it’s helped a lot!

    Just here to Share My Story .
    Around December I got my nipples pierced and abt a month later this red bump formed on my nipple piercing. It was only to one side . But I totally freaked out . Imagine the crazy weird ass thoughts going through my head ! I was googling everything from what it was to how the hell to get rid of it ! I finally found this website . That this girl uploaded a pic of her piercing bump on her nipple piercing and I finally thought I wasnt alone ! 😂 I saw a variety of different methods on how to treat and remove the bump . But I didn’t know for sure what bump ( because apparently there’s different types of piercing bumps ) I had . One sections told me to soak it in Peroxide for 5-10mins a day from tea tree oil night treatments , and to the aspirin treatment 🤷🏽‍♀️ I didnt know which to choose so I did all 3 ! I started my mornings either the aspirin . I wore it to work and eventually when I got off I soaked it in peroxide usually 5 mins then at night the tea tree oil ! When I tell you the bump was down back to my skin color ! And looking brand new ! Within 3 Days !! I was so excited that it was working and working how I wanted it ! I was worried I was only going to be stuck with one nipple piercing. Because I wasnt getting this redone !! I dont have that nasty crust anymore it’s jus got that act right 😂 but honestly you have to try your own method and find out what works best for you ! And your body !!

    Help :( I had my first cartilage piercing around the last week of August.The place where i got it told me i shouldn't take it off for one month just enough time for it to heal so i didnt.

    • @emilynelson6322
      @emilynelson6322 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alyssa Arellano that doesn’t exactly sound like a hypertrophic scar or keloid. The discharge isn’t really a sign of hypertrophic scars or keloids. It could possibly be infected. I’d recommend seeing a doctor about it. Just keep it clean until then.

    Anyone know if I can change my nose ring to a stud to help not to bump it around and make the scar worse? Or would it be bad changing it in the first place?

    • @mch6330
      @mch6330 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I went back to my piercer and got my nose ring changed out to a stud and it definitely helped a lot, I'd say it depends how long you've had it. If it's been several months you're probably fine to have a piercer change it out since it's had time to heal. My hypertrophic scarring seems to be mostly caused from irritation, so swapping to a more snug fitting stud that doesn't move has helped a lot. Also, my piercing guy was super happy to do it.

      trinitycelice hi sweetie . it’s either a keloid or a hypertrophic scar . keloids don’t go away but a hypertrophic scar will , with tea tree oil . so if it’s a hypertrophic scar , get tea tree oil && rub it on the outside of the bump . if it doesn’t seem to go done . then it’s probably a keloid . so therefore you need to make a dermatologist appointment . bc the smaller , the better . i had a really huge one on my right ear but i just got it removed in june . i’ll be going back in 14 days to get more injections . i’ll keep you updated if that’s fine !’

I tried putting tea tree oil over night, doing non iodized sea salt soaks twice a day; even leaving the soak overnight but nothing worked. When I got a cut on my finger 2 weeks ago I bought Dr. Sheffield's Triple Antibiotic Ointment, I decided to try it on my piercing since it ozzed from time to time. Without even paying much attention to it my bump is practically gone. I only applied like 3 times in total.

    i have a helix
    I actually had my scar for like 2 months because of the way I sleep.
    I was told that tea tree oil is a great way to remove this because of how it sucks out moisture and dries it out.
    an hour after I had put the oil on the first time, the scar was 75% gone.
    I was 6 months into my healing.
    everything cleared within a week.

    dont use the oil once it's gone, because it will mess with the healing piercing by drying it out.

    Hi! You mentioned that you would put just the tea tree oil without the sea salt water. Did you leave it on for a couple of mins and wash your ear or did you let the oil dry overnight, or..? Thank you for making this vid!💕

      Sorry it took me so long to reply to this! I would just let it dry! :-) (it's extremely drying though - so be careful) xx

    I really need help!! I got my piercing a month ago, after a week or so it got infected so i started cleaning it up with water and salt solution...now after a month of washing it is still irritated and has a bump! and im not sure how to remove this ugly bump, nor if i should just remove the piercing cz obviously my ear is allergic to the (unknown) metal! Can anyone guide me??

      I heard that too. I tried it anyway, and it worked. I developed a small bump. So, I poked it w/ a safety pin. Then put a drop of diluted tea tree oil on the bump. It disappeared in 3 days.

    Ok, I got a white bump on my industrial piercing after about a month that kept getting bigger and I was like “oh boy, this doesn’t look good”. It didn’t hurt or anything, it was just there. I took a chance with my sensitive skin and used tea tree oil (heavily diluted) every night and sea salt soaked it twice a day for about 2 weeks and that sucker disappeared completely. Only problem now is I have a raised bump scar around the top of my industrial that just refuses to go away. It actually got much smaller after doing those treatments ^ however my cousin hit my ear and it got big. I went into panic mode, cleaned it 3 times a day (it was bleeding and puss was coming out so) and sea salt soaked 2-3 times a day. It’s smaller again now, painless, no pus, no blood- but it just WONT GO AWAY. I stopped sea salt soaked bc I felt like they stopped working. I guess I’ll try the aspirin method.

    how long did it take before you started seeing improvements? and how long did it take for it to fully go away/heal?

    • @LaurieRobyn
      @LaurieRobyn  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Xiaolin L I saw improvements within about a week, then after a while I got them again and it didn't help anymore - but I realised the earrings I had put in them were mostly the cause of it (the backs of them irritated the back of my ear) so I changed my earrings out for really small dainty gold hoops and continued with this routine and it went away completely within about 2 weeks to a month! Now I've not had them for a few months already 😊 it takes a lot of patience haha!

    how i cured my hypertrophic scar was I two ingredient 1
    1) turmeric powder
    2)mustard oil
    takes a spoon ,pour at least 4 drops and heat it on low then add very small amount of turmeric powder and with cotton apply the paste on bump every day I would definitely help

I still use this now if my piercing is irritated even though my piercing is 3 years old. I did the same for my tragus piercing and it worked there too
