PS4 controller won't sync or connect??
Try this.
1. Power down console.
2. Use reset button on control.
3. Power up console.
4. Hit the PlayStation button on the control.
5. If 4 doesn't work you may need to connect a USB keyboard and go into Settings, Devices, Bluetooth Devices and here connect the control.

I fixed it. I had to use an official PS4 wire. Turns out the wires I was using was old samsung chargers. It charges the controller but it doesn’t connect the controller to the PS4

ATTENTION!!! nothing was working for me whatsoever I looked at every you tube vid and nothing worked and I know that some people say use a different controller and connect your others controller via Bluetooth so I tried using remote play on my phone to control my PS4 and my controllers still didn’t connect so I looked on PS4 support and they said the last thing you can try is unplugging your WiFi because it can interfere with the controller and PS4 so I hit the reset button on my controller for 5 seconds with a toothpic then unplugged my WiFi router then u plugged PS4 then plugged in my PS4 with the WiFi still off and I connected my controller your welcome.

This seems to be a very frequent issue... Sadly this method didn't work for me. Nonetheless, this is a very informative video. I would like to share what fixed it for me though.
1. Turn your system off by holding the power button until you hear two beeps
2. Repeat step one, but this time were powering on. So hold your power button until it beeps twice.
3. This should have pulled up an older looking menu, asking for you to connect your controller. Even though your controller light isn't blue, you should still be able to navigate the menu, given you're connected via USB.
4. Select the restart PS4 option from the older looking menu. This should resolve your issue, and it also explains why the controller can charge, but not synch.

Worked for me after I deleted my registered controllers first. You can do that with F3 on your keyboard. This opens the PS4 options (which you usually do with the options key on your controller)

Pro tip: after using your Dualshock 4 with tablet or phone, if you cannot pair it back to your ps4, go to settings/ devices on your ps4 and there is a list of devices. Hover over ds4 controller that refuses to work, press X, then options, Forget device, and then pair it by holding PS and SHARE button. Obviously you need at least one controller paired with ps4, or a keyboard as seen on video. It definitely worked for me. Just make sure that the settings/devices/controllers/communication method is set for Bluetooth. This method worked for me, as for hell I couldn’t pair my Dualshock 4 using 5 different usb cables after using the ds4 with iPad.
How do I pick a user with my keyboard if I only have one controller and that's the one that isn't working though?
for the people who still got issues. Try a different micro usb. Some of them are just for charging. Try the original ps4 cable

okay guys, what you'll actually need is the original sony usb cable that supports data transfer not just charging. you can also use a usb cable from samsung phone chargers. :))

If you have a working controller go to controllers in setting and change the pickup from USB to Bluetooth, then go to Bluetooth devices and click on the second controller. From here click options and forget device. Now hold down the share and ps button on the controller you want to connect until it flashes. Then your controller should come up.

Galaxyy Try to use ps4 remote play. Then forget the controller on Bluetooth devices. Reset your controllet at the back. Hold ps button and share. Then it will be available on the Bluetooth recognized by ps4. Click the option to pair using your phone in remote play. Made it a while ago.

Ok so i connected my controller to my phone and it would connect to my ps4 after, BUT i just connected my charger from the ps4 to my controller and it worked
All I did was borrow my mom's charger and plung it in into my ps4 and used it
My controller was flashing red and this still worked. Thanks bro

You linked me this on the iPhone video neither of these methods would work for me I tried the iPhone one because that’s why my controller wouldn’t connect but It didn’t work and then tried this one and the keyboard for me atleast wont let me log into the PlayStation I did it once but then it wouldn’t let me select a profile.

I have found a method which requires 2 controllers (Including the controller that won’t connect) with a working controller go on to settings and Bluetooth settings and forget all DualShock controllers expect for the one you are using( the one you are using will have a green dot next to it) and with the other controller hold down the share button and ps button till it starts flashing and then it should show up on the Bluetooth devices then save the controller. I hope this helps

My controller won't sync, and this was with using my micro USB cord used to charge my JBL bluetooth headphones. I would like to try that reset strategy at the back of the controller but I guess I need a spare nail. Lol
