Awesome! I actually stumbled upon the fandom because of an episode of 1000 Ways to Die in german TV in 2010 when I was 11. They were completely misportraited and I went on TH-cam - maybe to make fun of them, I don't know - but saw that I completely adore the art, cosplay and these adorable anthro characters. Now after numerous years studying and finally earning some good money I'm looking forward to meet some furs in person. It's a curse to discover this fandom too early.

Hey that's a neat way to find it! A more wholesome way than most, either through -the art- or through something like people hating on furries. I actively got into the fandom in 2006 but had identified as a furry as early as 2000ish!

I got into the fandom from a random tiktok cringe compilation in 2019. I saw a fursuiter and thought it was interesting, I was already one of the weird OwO UwU people in my class. I ended up stumbling upon Odin wolf (RIP) and I enjoyed his content, my first fursona, was named tropic but I immediately retired him and forgot about him and forgot about furries, my interest strengthened when I went to Comic-Con in my home town and bumped into a group of fursuiters. So in late 2021 (in 7th grade), I came up with citrus, which is still my fursona today. I’m grateful to be in this fandom and these five years in it have been very interesting. I’m proud to be a furry and I might be one and even become a graymuzzle later on. Being a furry has also helped me be more creative and I’m happy. :3
I found the fandom in 2018 on October 16th when I was 15 I was randomly scrolling through TH-cam and I saw a majira strawberry video it was his video furry dares ft bookerfox and Frankie didn’t know who majors was but I hit play and very long story short it was first furry video I ever watched in my life and it’s changed my life by a mile or 10 xd 5+ years in the fandom and here I am currently I’ve chatted with many online furries seen tons of amazing artwork subscribed to at least over a hundred furry channels and back in December 2023 made my own dinomask for TikTok’s I make I love being a furry💖💖
