Ok, I am from Romania, and I support Rapid Bucharest, one of the biggest rivals of Steaua...and this isn't good. It isn't good for Bucharest, and it isn't good for Romanian football in general. Steaua needs to exist, all useless arguing aside. It's one of the biggest brands in Romania. Plus, nothing feels more satisfying than beating them. My team beat the "clone" a week ago and it just wasn't the same :) So yeah, even I, a die hard supporter of Rapid, hope Steaua regains its identity. Si asta pentru ca am mentalitate.

Yes. If you wanted to have a better view of Romanian football you should take a look at almost all the clubs in our leagues. Besides the Steaua situation we also have: - Bankruptcy in Rapid Bucharest (unable to pay the players and relegated for it a few years ago, now back in the league but again almost relegated) - Bankruptcy in Cluj - penalized 24 points (dropping from 2nd place to 18th place) for not paying their players. And many many more clubs, as mentioned by Maitre, U Craiova and Poli Timisoara relegated for unclear reasons, Otelul Galati almost bankrupt also. I suggest you go back to Romania as fast as possible to cover this stories, because I truly think that in 2-3 years time we won't have a football league anymore. Who knows, maybe Steaua can move to Barclays Premier League. I think we can beat the likes of Burnley or Leicester and stay up for a few seasons :)))

Jason Button this whole shit is happening because Romania wants to host euro 2020 and the old stadium of Steaua will be rebuild so the corrupted army of romania (which holds the history and name of Steaua) wants to separate from the owner which is Becali (a cancer to the club) and hopes that the army will have some kind of a team and will play there which will never happen.

A similar situation has happened to my team in Portugal. The Primeira Liga team Belenenses divided in 2 in 2018, the B SAD, who had the license to play in the Primeira Liga and Belenenses that had the naming rights, logo, trophies and so more, but had to restart in the 6th division. As the majority of the fans, I decided to stay loyal to the old Belenenses, even in the 6th division, our identity is not for sale!
Unfortunately,today 20/06/2015,Angelo Niculescu,the man at 3:43 and also a great coach for Romanian National Team and also Steaua Bucharest,passed away at 12:00 at 93yrs old. Rest In Peace,a great loss for the Romanian Football.

As an Everton fan I can see why the fans of Steaua Bucharest are so upset about this as a few years ago we had our identity taken from us by our own club and we didn't feel like we where the same club for that season all we could do was hang on and hope that the club realised they had made a massive mistake sooner rather then later. As fans we chose to boycott anything with the new badge on which affected the club sales massively but still supported the team like we always had it was only a season but eventually the club gave in and let us fans choose what we wanted out identity to be instead of forcing it upon us. I just hope the Steaua Bucharest fans get their club identity back soon because from the looks of it they are in a very bad situation if they cant get fans back on their side fast.

Everyone from Romania know that real one is FCSB because it had continuity, it never relegated, but there are few "fanatics/brainwashed people" and paid ones by the corrupted government that believe and are forced to believe and support the team from 2nd league which uses corruptly and fraudulently the name Steaua Bucharest. The other one which is in 2nd league right now is a corrupted team appeared by the help of USA-Romania Army to destroy Steaua Bucharest brand and to take money from normal people and to fool the supporters of Steaua Bucharest. All of this was done to deceive the people who support the true Steaua București and to undermine the owner of FCSB, who has done a lot of good for this team since he took over, and not just that. mid 2023 and we're still in litigations. FCSB still filling stadiums at capacity at home and also away. Peluza Nord is always present and since the leaders are older now, there is no hooliganism or violence. Nice to see stadiums full of kids, youngsters and women cheering and enjoying their favorite team. Maybe in 10 more years this case will have a solution.

Short Update for football lovers that are watching this video in 2020: Steaua Bucharest(founded in 1947 until 2003) plays in 3rd division at this time being and they are trying to get to second division. They have the badge, history records until 2003( so therefore Champions League trophy won in 1986 at Sevilla) , Ghencea Stadium recently built. On the other hand, Fcsb (the team that plays illegally in first division has the records from 2003 until now, but no identity at all). Long story short:The historical Steaua Bucharest tries to reach to the second division this season and hopefully they will do so. Fcsb is just a clone!
The worst thing is now that the army has created a clone of Steaua team in the 4th Romanian league with the old emblem and in the same time FCSB is playing on the first league and UCL - EL competitions as well. So soon is going to be 2 teams Steaua in the first league fighting each other! Such disgusting behavior from an army that supposed to take care of other things instead of destroying football teams!

The woman Eli talked to during the game for all of 4-5 seconds made the best point. It is the same stadium same game and same players and no matter what you support your team. Thats what real fans do. I agree its wrong they lost their brand but the players shouldn't be embarrassed to play in front of their fans like that substitute clearly was. We were about to almost experience such thing back in 2000s when Polish football was still rebuilding and on shamble of possibility of mishandling, but thanks God our PZPN was purged of corruption and the Ekstraklasa, too. Today our League isn't at the best like before, but most Polish clubs are able to preserve our heritages.

As an Everton fan I can see why the fans of Steaua Bucharest are so upset about this as a few years ago we had our identity taken from us by our own club and we didn't feel like we where the same club for that season all we could do was hang on and hope that the club realised they had made a massive mistake sooner rather then later. As fans we chose to boycott anything with the new badge on which affected the club sales massively but still supported the team like we always had it was only a season but eventually the club gave in and let us fans choose what we wanted out identity to be instead of forcing it upon us. I just hope the Steaua Bucharest fans get their club identity back soon because from the looks of it they are in a very bad situation if they cant get fans back on their side fast.

We used to have a team like this in Scotland, Glasgow Rangers, they never won the European Cup though. They died in 2012 and started in the bottom league in Scotland as a new club

That was their name but FCSB now have a really big problem with the old owners(the army) and are not allowed to use it anymore. Steaua is trully the most known team in Romania (i am actually a fan of a rival team) but i think they teserve to get everything back.

Everyone from Romania know that real one is FCSB because it had continuity, it never relegated, but there are few "fanatics/brainwashed people" and paid ones by the corrupted government that believe and are forced to believe and support the team from 2nd league which uses corruptly and fraudulently the name Steaua Bucharest. The other one which is in 2nd league right now is a corrupted team appeared by the help of USA-Romania Army to destroy Steaua Bucharest brand and to take money from normal people and to fool the supporters of Steaua Bucharest. The team from 2nd league managed to manipulate the laws in Romania (with the help of usa army ofcourse -- because in our country, the supreme power is the army itself and army can do whatever they want -- and arranged things in such a way that he came out victorious in some decisions that should have clearly been in favor of FCSB. All of this was done to deceive the people who support the true Steaua București and to undermine the owner of FCSB, who has done a lot of good for this team since he took over, and not just that.
So the conclusion and everyone must understand that FCSB is the old team called FC Steaua Bucuresti.

mid 2023 and we're still in litigations. FCSB still filling stadiums at capacity at home and also away. Peluza Nord is always present and since the leaders are older now, there is no hooliganism or violence. Nice to see stadiums full of kids, youngsters and women cheering and enjoying their favorite team. Maybe in 10 more years this case will have a solution.

Short Update for football lovers that are watching this video in 2020: Steaua Bucharest(founded in 1947 until 2003) plays in 3rd division at this time being and they are trying to get to second division. They have the badge, history records until 2003( so therefore Champions League trophy won in 1986 at Sevilla) , Ghencea Stadium recently built. On the other hand, Fcsb (the team that plays illegally in first division has the records from 2003 until now, but no identity at all). Long story short:The historical Steaua Bucharest tries to reach to the second division this season and hopefully they will do so. Fcsb is just a clone!
The worst thing is now that the army has created a clone of Steaua team in the 4th Romanian league with the old emblem and in the same time FCSB is playing on the first league and UCL - EL competitions as well. So soon is going to be 2 teams Steaua in the first league fighting each other! Such disgusting behavior from an army that supposed to take care of other things instead of destroying football teams!

The woman Eli talked to during the game for all of 4-5 seconds made the best point. It is the same stadium same game and same players and no matter what you support your team. Thats what real fans do. I agree its wrong they lost their brand but the players shouldn't be embarrassed to play in front of their fans like that substitute clearly was. Best of luck to Steaua and i hope they get this situation rectified.

We were about to almost experience such thing back in 2000s when Polish football was still rebuilding and on shamble of possibility of mishandling, but thanks God our PZPN was purged of corruption and the Ekstraklasa, too. Today our League isn't at the best like before, but most Polish clubs are able to preserve our heritages.

A quick update, the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks stated today that the army owns only the trademark of Steaua, but the football club still owns the historic achivements and continues the tradition of the football team.
