Here me out. After hearing FF9 motifs in the 2nd half of the msq: I realized another theme stuck in my head after hearing this non stop. FF9's A Place to Call Home. The main melody of this track sounds like its the same notes of that, the FFX's drums of Enemy Attack and the choir from FFXVI.
Those rhythmic strings at the start and the piano around a minute in make this sound more like Yoko Shimomura than Soken. Definitely get some KH vibes from this.
I love how this theme feels like it changes vibe as the expansion's plot develops. Spoilers: It turns from an upbeat adventuring theme into a cry of defiance and desperation through the mix of major and minor chords
Like with all the music, I expect to not be blown away by it until we hear it in context. I remember not being nearly as blown away by Insatiable or Triumph, until I fought the fight, and realized FFXIV's music is as intrinsic to the fight as the mechanics.
You're absolutely right, it's almost as if the bosses dance to their own theme. Omega and Brute Justice are great examples of this. When I heard eScape for the first time it was as if Omega was actually bopping his face plate to the rythym of the song. Brute Justice actually does a whole dance of mechanics towards the end of his theme.
It seems like people are mixed on the mid-boss theme but one thing’s for sure - everyone loves this dungeon boss theme. Feels like a classic FF battle theme, like something out of VII or X
All I can think about with the mid-boss theme is the part of the Cinematic where Graha is eating the taco and lyrics go "Open wide and take a bite!" xD Ruins the feeling for me everytime. This theme is incredible, though.
well, last time someone ripped from media tour, it was also kinda bland. and then played the actual expansion and 2-3 notes were added to make it alot more dynamic. So we'll see I guess?
FFX BOSS THEME VIBES
Exactly came here to say this
Start sounds very FFX but then goes into FFXVI
It's the violin, 100%
My thoughts exactly!
So freaking epic ❤
This sounds like if ff16 orchestra made sweet sweet love with ffx's enemy attack
Im so glad someone else hears it.

It has the rhythm thing at the start! The 1, 2, 1-2-3! Classic final fantasy battle theme motif
This music feel like you are pushing the enemy line with a 4 bar limit break

This shit rips. It feels so good when playing. Especially with the fights so far, holy shit you guys this is peak boss design in these fights

With the new mechanic and this sound it always gives me that feeling of being at the edge of lossing. Like to be fighting for your live. Love it 🙃😊
Ah so the benchmark final part uses this music

Is a mix between omnis lacrima from ffxv and assault from ffx, with a sprinkle of To Sail Forbidden Seas from FFXVI 😮
Its so different from EW’s dung themes. Lighter, more bouncy and adventurous. Love it.
I am LOSING IT. IT SOUNDS SO FUCKING GOOD

this sounds like ff16
It is made by the same guy
@@frankishe7317 I know hahahaha
I think a lot of people forget that its supposed to be a different feel. Its not trying to "be better" than anything.
I wiped 2 times . No problem :D

The Expansion is not even out yet, how did you get the music out so early.
Media tour my dood
probably plugged a recorder in the demo PC in the Media Tour or something like that, otherwise I dont see how.
@@Tashiro64 there’s several media tour attendees that have footage from the dungeon they did. This just doesn’t show the footage :).
Mr Happy put the song on his channel already
@RedLotus5 First " New expansion" for you? :p
How did you get this 2 weeks ago tho? 😅
Media Tour
If only they add blitzball the this expansion would’ve been perfect
the credits song is so bad this makes up for it
I don't know why you said final dungeon, this is the boss theme for every dungeon in dawntrail not just the final dungeon.
@@alexjones50 final boss for each dungeon. Not final dungeon
@@bandaniza8236 well it was worded a bit poorly, maybe dungeon final boss theme might have been better.
過去一微妙だな…フィールドの通常戦闘曲はすきだけど
Insatiable was way better than this.
Insatiable is a tier of it's own but this is better than endwalker
And insatiable was worse than Triumph, but they're all amazing on their own.
Insatiable is better than every standard boss theme, that's not a fair comparison lol
to each their own. this goes hard and evokes a sense of the earlier games, KH even.
i disagree
Mid boss is much better!
Kind of bland tbh
It's not that great 😕
