The content I create is meant for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Lye and raw soap can permanently damage your eyes and burn your skin. When making soap, you should already know and practice lye safe handling procedures and always wear safety gear during the entire soapmaking process, even while cleaning up. My soap became very thick and I couldn't handle it well. I think it's because I used a lot of shea butter at a low temperature (25 degrees Celsius). From your experience what is the most important factor, the oils you choose or the temperature; Thank you so much for the inspiration!

I have a question. In your recipes you say, after preparation "I put it in the oven at 170°"... that is new to me, even strange... because I had never read that. Usually this system is taught without an oven, here in my country (Chile). What type of oven is it?
