Could you mix sodium lactate to soaps with sugar, when the sugar is added for bubbles ??

Can I ask why you didn't just use all distilled water ice cubes instead of doing part of the total with distilled water.
@@acrylicavenue6056 You can, but it's hard to get an exact amount with ice cubes, and stirring is a little easier with some water in the mix.

I didn't either, but made my first bars last week and another batch tonight. Took me about a year to gather all the stuff together. I was only working part-time then. I must have watched hundreds of videos. Love Tree Marie because she is so technical. Good teacher.💕 Should be cured for Christmas gifts.

I have been making soap for years and years, long before it became popular as it is now. These new techniques and the amazing ingredients now available have elevated it to an art form! It's endless fun!
Same here..been making for myself and kids off and on since 2000..only info online back then (DIAL UP INTERNET!!) was Cathy Miller. It is now astronomical!!
I was so excited about doing this design until you started to pour, then I was like “aiight imma sit my ass down and start with a basic swirl” 😂😂

Exactly LOL. I'm gonna start with one color and see how it goes. If it even resembles real soap, I might put in a swirl on the next batch.
After watching this, I’m now inspired to change my career. Seriously.. I love soaps and fragrances and never ever ever thought it could be a career. Thank you.

I've been doing it for 2 years now and yeah, ingredients and supplies aren't cheap, you need a lot of space, certain styles of soap are time consuming but people don't usually want to pay what they're worth and unless you are great at youtube and instagram etc it's so hard to get sales. I still do it for fun.

Brilliant video. When you say that it was out of your comfort zone, and that you usually like to figure everything out ahead of time - that really hits right home with me and is probably the reason, why I back off from getting started on most crafts related activities. Especially marble techniques (be it print making, painting or soap making) the effects always impressed me, but I never really had the chance to figure out, how it's done (people would just go about it very quickly and make it seem effortless), so it's really insightful that you show your process step by step, at a reasonable tempo. The end product is gorgeous and it's certainly helping me (to get started myself) to hear that you actually came to enjoy the "winging it" part about it!
Lovely! I agree with you, the difference between the natural portions and the white portions unexpectedly might be my favorite part of this bar. Great instinct, as always.
One of my favorites so far. I love the outcome, and not mixing in titanium dioxide sometimes was a good call. It really looks like marble! This would be a great technique for doing blue/aqua/white/silver for an ocean-y bar as well
