I kind of like the external imperfections, the darker colors, and how they are all different! The first one reminded me of a geode. Maybe you could find a way to incorporate gold mica powder and put gold streaks through it?
when she blends the lye water into the oils and you can see the emulsifying soap shooting out of the four little holes in the stick blender... hits different
If you start making round soaps to sell you should make them half the width, that way you can make more from the mold since it is so small. It would also enable you to make the round bars a bit cheaper since they wouldn't last quite as long. I think a wood grain pattern would look wonderful in these round soaps, like you sliced a tree for those round slabs that people craft on
I'm the exact opposite. I like trying things with instructions first and then branching out! This is such a cool technique, I can't wait to see it again!
0:46 Oh Katie we love you and you quirky intros “I didn’t read any instructions. I didn’t do anything by the rules and I did whatever I want. So without further ado let’s make some soap. And happy Soapmas (she says while laughing).”
I love the liner. It’s so easy to unfold. I take the column of soap with the liner out and I pop them into the freezer for 20 minutes. The liner completely lets go of the soap and the soap comes out clean
I love them, and all your soaps..BUT I love your channel mostly because of you.. Your so positive, sweet, funny, nerdy, loving to us and your beautiful family and it's so refreshing to watch.... My mom passed away recently and I have felt peace and happiness watching your videos... Thank you...
I really do like how this one came out. The imperfections on the outside give it a more rustic feel, as do the colors. For a first try, with no research 😁, I think it came out pretty good.
As an artist I actually enjoy how these soaps look as is - rough outer edges, wacky shapes of "imperfection" running throughout the soap. It's a really rustic vibe and I'm digging it!
Katie! I love how your Kaleidosoap turned out - SOOO GOOD! and I love that you completely winged it too. Such a fun video to watch and I can't wait to see you do it again. Thanks so much for giving my little soap design tool a try 💖
I think she mentioned somewhere that she avoids using the freezer because it can make the soaps sweaty, but she may have meant it for the melt and pour. I don't know anything. I've just... watched at lot by now.
The outside edges looked like geodes, would love to see you experiment more with this mold. Your energy always makes me feel a burst of happiness, thank you for that 😊
I have just found your channel and I actually love how happy you sound all the time and the little giggle you do. All the videos I have watched have actually made me so happy. I'm going to binge watch your videos now
I’d love to see you try this again. I can understand why you do your creative process, it’s good to see things for yourself before you bring in the opinion of others
#royaltysoap I shameless plug you and bumblebarry in a comment on one of those videos. And explain that cold process soap making is a science and shouldn't be done without researching first.
KATIE I HAVE A SOAP REQUEST!!! please do a moonstone and pearl soap for June. They're both June birthstones and they're my fave stones too! Also can i get a thumbs up for typing with wet nail polish?
Normal'sWayOverrated she has an email in the description for you to send in a design and if she likes it and uses it she’ll send you one for free but if you’re not an adult you need adult permission of course
"That looks like marshmallow" - coincidentally, I'm watching this with a hot chocolate loaded with tiny marshmallows by my side, which sounds like a pretty good combination to me :D
Oof, you’re braver than us! Our biggest experiment so far was castille lol And thanks for posting this even if it didn’t come out exactly how you wanted! It’s a big motivator for those of us who are newer. Makes me feel more like it’s okay to fail and experiment and learn! ~Raven
I still haven’t used it yet but my biggest experiment (aside from any recipe since I’ve barely made any) has been a salt bar with a super high water discount
Cat and Raven Designs well the bars are super hard and glossy and setup in nearly no time so I think they worked fine, I just haven’t used them yet, even though I made them like 3.5 months ago...
I think the colors were nice! Very natural like....a blue, sliced agate almost. It gives me semi-precious stone vibes for sure! I'm all for you trying this again, especially since you had so much fun playing~
Honestly i really really like the colors you chose. Would 100% buy that You should do a red green blue one if you want different colors. That might look really awesome
My “something nice for [my]self” today was a Starbucks matcha latte and a new Glitter Tumbler! The SB in my Kroger had $3 off on the 2019 holiday glitter tumblers, how could I say no?? It’s green and sparkly and perfect!
Oh my goodness. I love every bar from this method. I especially enjoy the ones from the more liquid pours, from the bottom. I think this method looks super fun, especially with more colors. I also enjoy you trying out a new method and I would love to see more methods.
You should do a series where you try ridiculous soap hacks from all over the internet
Wilted Lycoris ooooooh! That sounds like a really fun one!
Oh gosh, Blossom (I think, or troomtroom?) did a soap hack video recently and my first thought was "Katie should debunk these"
LostTimeLady oh no, I’m gonna have to go look that up now. “Lye safety? IT’s NoT a PrObLeM aNyMoRe”
Yes!
Yes please.
I kind of like the external imperfections, the darker colors, and how they are all different! The first one reminded me of a geode. Maybe you could find a way to incorporate gold mica powder and put gold streaks through it?
YAAASSS!
Yes, that was exactly what I was thinking!
canvan99 yeeeeeeeeeesss
Yes!!!!!!!!
I was thinking the same thing, it totally looks like a geode slab.
With these as inbeds with stained glass colours to make a stained glass effect soap!!!
And use some of the extra embeda from previous soaps
I thought the same thing! It looks like a rose window on a church to me.
Yes!
Omg Easter soap!
These remind me of geodes.🥰
it kind of looks like the inside of fruit, you should use this technique to make a pink grapefruit soap
Or slices of agate!
@@WobblesandBean I
Yes I was thinking orange. Love the grapefruit idea.
This would make really cool tree rings maybe? With different shades of brown. Could have it smell like pine or something 😊
That’d be really good! Pine smells amazing. Maybe she could even incorporate gold streaks, somehow.
@@Man-ej6uv gold cracks in the wood. It's gonna be great
I would buy that immediately
These as tree rings smelling of pine; I'd never buy any other soap again.
@@FairbrookWingates right? this is an amazing idea
I wonder if it would look swirly if the thing was pulled up but spun slowly at the same time.
Tiny To Tall YESSS I JUST commented that too!
Cool idea...I’m going to try that
That’s a cool idea!!
Love that idea
@@debbieescobar6267 did it work
What if she does white black and yellow then cut the circles into hexagons? Lil bee soap?
i think it'd be really annoying cutting it into a hexagon tbh so it might need a different mold but i love bees and bee themed things
@@mmtruooao8377 you can cut the log itself so they will all be cut in one go, then slice them
Nightmare Strawberry Chic she saves the shavings for the soapy planets in her yearly planet soap :)
Hellmark Channel use the flakes as soap?
when she blends the lye water into the oils and you can see the emulsifying soap shooting out of the four little holes in the stick blender... hits different
Aaaand now I wanna rewind dagnammit
You should make subscription boxes where u send samples of your soaps every month!
Love this idea
Yes!
Ohh, I'd go for that
I would love that!!
YES!!!!
"Kenneth and I never get to soap for fun." To be fair I think the Ks are never 100% not-having-fun. You two are so jolly.
I also love the increasing delirium this soapmas.
Frankie Millcarek i just subscribed last week and i am loving their personalities. So much fun, glad i am able to see Soap-mas.

the side of the soap log looks like a beautiful painting of the sea
For some reason, your loud and bubbly personality is what I like to watch before I go to bed, bad grammar and flow through comment tired gn
I love the liner. It’s so easy to unfold. I take the column of soap with the liner out and I pop them into the freezer for 20 minutes. The liner completely lets go of the soap and the soap comes out clean
I actually love all the variation and irregularities! The “not good” in the thumbnail is totally untrue!! 💙
They look a bit like geodes! They're actually really pretty!

Also, you don’t have to ask if we would like to see something or more of something. We always would! Make all the videos!! Love you guys!
The rings on the inside makes it looks like the rings that you can find in geodes when you break them open. You should use it in a crystal soap!
As an artist I actually enjoy how these soaps look as is - rough outer edges, wacky shapes of "imperfection" running throughout the soap. It's a really rustic vibe and I'm digging it!

6:07 the white center part with the hint of navy look like smiling little faces. So cute!
It’d be so cool to see a loaf of soap with the logs of kaleidoscope soap used as embeds. Merry Christmas!
Go without the liner and pop the mold into the freezer. Pops right out of cylinder molds. :)
I think she mentioned somewhere that she avoids using the freezer because it can make the soaps sweaty, but she may have meant it for the melt and pour. I don't know anything. I've just... watched at lot by now.

The outside edges looked like geodes, would love to see you experiment more with this mold. Your energy always makes me feel a burst of happiness, thank you for that 😊
I'm sad she never did an other vid about this!! I love this soap
I would love to see this technique done in Mardi Gras colors like vibrant green, neon purple, and Aztec gold.
i love the way you talk it’s so bubbly and giggly i love it and it makes me happy
‘I didn’t read any instructions
I didn’t do anything by the rules
And
I did whatever I want’ 🤣
Ahahaha me !
This was a cool experiment! I loved it 💜
love the more rustic look, even though the outside got ripped.
also, would love more videos of you trying more new techniques!

The thinner soap ones look like agates! I love love love those!!
I am very interested in seeing more of this technique. Thank you for asking! I think these turned out great. Plus there's a flower-like shape. Pretty.
Those look like citrus slices! Orange? Lemon?
I'd love to see another video of this
This was so fun to watch! What a cool idea. Props to the inventor of this technique
I’d love to see you try this again. I can understand why you do your creative process, it’s good to see things for yourself before you bring in the opinion of others
Dunno, I actually looove those colors for this type of pattern, it looks a little like Japanese linen, or Portuguese azuleijos
Or Delft blue pottery from the Netherlands!
These are great! I may have to look into the shaper.
pressing f for the valuable equipment lost at 2:06
I'm lost lol
I like the muted colors and rough edges. Adds to the geode feel and I would totally buy this
After watching your videos I cringe at the ''soap hacks" videos on Insta...
I should make a recreation/reaction to those awful things. haha
@@RoyaltySoaps You should 😂😂

A reaction! Yes!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE those colors and design! How cool!
The 1% who said ‘no’ must have accidentally pocket answered the question or handed their phone to a child who doesn’t know what they’re pressing. LOL
Space Giraffes it was probably a decimal for each so like 98.4 and 1.6? 🤷🏻♀️ only reason I can think of
I actually LOVE the “imperfect” look of these!
That dejected "I just broke it..." made my heart so sad for Katie, omg
I am in no way trying to be mean or rude or anything but she has a really weird/unique energy, i love how excited she is for everything
These make me think of geodes and would be awesome imbeds!
Oh please make more round soaps, these are so pretty!
You should do this with neons!
I like the rough texture on the soap with these colors, like winter charcoal-ish

I think this looks gorgeous even the bottom pieces. I think doing a full rainbow of this would be GORGEOUS.
Should try three set of in the pot swirls if/WHEN you do this technic again. It would add a bit more color and contrast.
I love that you're experimenting with new techniques on camera!

Thanks for the tip on the mold. Was about to use mine for the first time and I was eyeing that liner with skepticism.
I'd love to see that technique again but it'd be great if you read the instructions to see if you did it the way it was supposed to.
I think these looked amazing! even the ones at the bottom of the mold where the layers were too thin, look very nice. And the colors are very classy
Oh no!! Is Katie ok?!? Did she survive the film monster?!? 😂❤️❤️😂

It looks like geode and lemon soaps!
The energy change from what i was watching to this is huuuuge
