I'm the exact opposite. I like trying things with instructions first and then branching out! This is such a cool technique, I can't wait to see it again!
If you start making round soaps to sell you should make them half the width, that way you can make more from the mold since it is so small. It would also enable you to make the round bars a bit cheaper since they wouldn't last quite as long. I think a wood grain pattern would look wonderful in these round soaps, like you sliced a tree for those round slabs that people craft on

I love the liner. It’s so easy to unfold. I take the column of soap with the liner out and I pop them into the freezer for 20 minutes. The liner completely lets go of the soap and the soap comes out clean

I think she mentioned somewhere that she avoids using the freezer because it can make the soaps sweaty, but she may have meant it for the melt and pour. I don't know anything. I've just... watched at lot by now.
As an artist I actually enjoy how these soaps look as is - rough outer edges, wacky shapes of "imperfection" running throughout the soap. It's a really rustic vibe and I'm digging it!

Cat and Raven Designs well the bars are super hard and glossy and setup in nearly no time so I think they worked fine, I just haven’t used them yet, even though I made them like 3.5 months ago...
I actually prefer the ones you made at the bottom. They're each very different and look very rustic and handcrafted. I can't put my finger on it specifically but I loved the little flowers and the blue in the middle of the petals.

Honestly I agree with how Katie did this... To her this is an art and art is special when it's not all the same. So now she can actually research how to use the tool if she wants... My daughter and son are very artistic and they draw and paint from sight (so other than color theory) they really just recreate things how they see it.Thats what makes it special :)

i think it'd be really annoying cutting it into a hexagon tbh so it might need a different mold but i love bees and bee themed things

The rings on the inside makes it looks like the rings that you can find in geodes when you break them open. You should use it in a crystal soap!

Go without the liner and pop the mold into the freezer. Pops right out of cylinder molds. :)
