    thanks....I just drooled all over my keyboard....again! That Warlock sounds Wicked!! ANd don't sell your fab skills short. Clen the welds up and paint those pipes will be fine. Awesome looking truck Zack!

      Thanks Dave! Ya I love the way it sounds! The h-pipe really balances and smooths out the tone but still lets those stacks chop!! I will use those pipes for now, something I’ll want to improve on in the future, thanks!

      @@LilRedGarage did you use original stacks or new ones?

    • @LilRedGarage
      @LilRedGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The shields and tips are original from a 78 Lil Red, I did replace the stand pipes. I got them through dodgeconnection.com , they are made by Dons custom exhaust, and come in 2.25”. But for a little more $ you can get a set custom made in 2.5” as I did. It did take about 10 weeks to receive them.

    Nice work, turned out great !! A little louder than I expected, sounds awesome, you never hear trucks with stacks sound so bad ass, well done !!

      Thanks Joe! Ya it’s still a little loud!, but the h-pipe really balanced out the sound. Gave it a kind of a tuned tone not tractor-ish.

    The exhaust is perfect I'm sure that set up would sound wicked even on a stock engine but I have to say that engine is a monster gotta be near bout 550 wheel huh

      Thanks! It was north of 500hp on a engine dyno and over 550tq!

    I wonder if the glass packs would fit in the stacks.
    Great job!

      Thanks! Maybe a very small one, there are brackets to mount to the truck and brackets for the shields to bolt to on the stacks.

    A kromer roll bar or a shiny tool box would enhance the truck

      Even some dummy spot lamps. More krome

    I'm really interested in what you use on the exhaust for paint/ceramic coating. I put a 5" exhaust on my Ram last year and the surface is already showing some slight surface rust (I don't drive it in the winter and it has never seen salt). Looking forward to that part of the process next! 👍👍

    • @LilRedGarage
      @LilRedGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The exhaust I put on lil red had an aluminized coating that kept the pipes from surface rusting and has held up well. These pipes are raw and will definitely need to be coated. I will be using xtream temp coating (xtc) from KBS coatings. The headers came ceramic coated in black and I added some vht ceramic silver and satin clear on them just to change the color.

      @@LilRedGarage Thanks man! Is it rattle can spray, or is it spray gun?

    • @LilRedGarage
      @LilRedGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can get it both ways, I just got a aerosol can of primer and stainless color paint to try out. I used their engine paint called “motor coater”, got that in a quart can and sprayed it with a gun, seams like good stuff!
