That is turning out great. I really like having the pipes tucked up. It really can make a great looking Truck look crappy with low hanging exhaust.

You are doing a great job !! Some times exhaust can really try your patience. As far as painting the muffler and pipes underneath, silver will allow it to be seen, and black would make it disappear, either way will look fine.

Thanks Joe! I thought about doing the pipes black. On my Lil Red the pipes have an aluminized coating, keeps them from rusting and has a natural steel look, not like a bright silver. I wanted to try to replicate that with a ceramic paint. Your right though black would hide it better. I’ll probably play around with some test pieces before commit to the whole exhaust!

Very nice work! Put me in there, and it would take me six months to figure out the exhaust build!

Thanks! Ya it’s proving to be more difficult and time consuming that I thought!

Are those aftermarket steps on the bed?

They are original factory steps from a 1978 Lil Red Express

Thanks Eli! Your right, I looked for a long time and found a guy on eBay selling a complete set of stacks, stack shields, tips, steps and all the brackets. I felt very lucky to say the least!

@@Eli_Mendiola Very hard to find. There is a dude on Facebook that makes repos, but at $650/set. Forgot his name. I think Lil Red Gatrage knows his name. He wants half down and then he will build them.
