- lakewood traction bars, part number 21715. installed on a 1978 Dodge Warlock D150. this particular part will work only on stock suspension non axle flipped, spring over axle trucks.

Ya thanks! so far I’ve only buffed out the doors. I’ll probably do the hood and tailgate before they get installed and the front and rear fender once it’s all together and I do the final panel alignment. Then it will be ready for the warlock pin striping!

I saw the snubber end of the traction bar doing it's job when you applied torque, so win win ,it works and it's just plain cool !!

traction bars work on mopars also the snubber only addresses the up moshion issue of the axel and does not address the lifting of the right side of the axle, Tim over at 318willrun has videos of traction bars with and with out on his mopar cars, they are for mopars as well, and that a beautiful truck brother, I have a 79 little red and a 74 A body with a 440. thanks for sharing

I don’t see the point of that extra spring clamp you added on the front of the spring. It seams redundant if using these bars.
I put the same bars on my warmed up 51 F1.

Nice job man. I do have a question. Where did you get the chrome trim piece for around the windshield and the drip rail around the top?
Thanks Paul! The drip rail came on the roof I used to replace mine. They were factory installed on higher optioned trucks. My lil red came with them and they are stainless. The windshield lock strip is chromed plastic, it came in a kit I bought with all my weather stripping. It came with both chrome or black lock strips.
How did slapper bars workout?
Is it worth for big block 67/ d100 utiline ?
Did you have to use smaller starter with those headers? I have a 79 lil red express and am told they wont fit with stock starter
I did use the mini starter, never tried the original one because I built this truck from scratch.
I’ve installed vehicle specific Patriot hedders from Petronix on mine. Their part number is H8211. They come in painted, ceramic coated, and s/s and fit without having to change the starter.

What size tires on rear?
Did you have to run a smaller starter with those headers? I have a 79 lil red and am told headers will not work with stock starter
I never tried them with the larger starter. I proactively bought the mini starter because I was starting from scratch. I can get the mini starter in and out without removing the headers. If the larger starter did fit you might have an issue with heat from the headers.
Are you planning any graphics for the truck, either painted or decals, or is it staying straight-up black?
I was planning on putting all the original Warlock gold pinstripes back on. If you’ve ever seen one it’s quite a lot of striping. I already put them on the inside of the doors, you can kind of see it in this video with the door open, I also have a video that shows them me installing them. I do really like the way it looks now without the stripes. it’s a real warlock and the stripes are what really make it stand out from a regular truck. I’m still debating 😆
