Pon De Ring donuts are absolutely delicious! The first time I had them, they were from a food truck where I had to spend an hour in line, but they were so tasty when they were fresh out of the fryer. Too bad I'm so terrible with frying. Then I could make these.
I made these for my family this weekend and they really loved them. Thank you Moe and Sutan for this recipe. The video brought back memories of cooking and baking with my niece when she was around 4 and 5 years old. She's a teen now and I miss those times but cherish the memories. It brings a smile to my face when I catch her cooking or baking something and using some of the things I showed her when she was little. You, your husband. and Sutan will never forget those moments.
@@000euMJ They actually turned out pretty good. I did undercook the first batch though, very gooey inside. Also, I didn't add the tofu as some in my family don't like it. I was wondering if these could be baked like Monkey Bread. I think I'm going to try and see if they come out good if baked like that.

Hi! Thank you for this recipe! ☺️ It is quite similar to a Filipino dessert called "Carioca." We use glutinous rice powder to get that chewy texture. We often stuff it too with cheese and it's the best snack ever!

@KimonoMom my favorite donut recipe is called "pet-de-nonne" (literally nun's fart) it s a french recipe using "pâte a choux" as batter and works really well with orange flavor from orange zest in the batter. it needs the right temperature, not too high, just high enough to lift the batter. the batter keep expanding inside cracking the outer shell. then we sprinkle fine powdered sugar on top.
Going from your older videos to these newer ones, getting to see Sutan grow, watching as you make amazing recipes, it is so refreshing to see something wholesome yet still entertaining on TH-cam these days! ^_^

Of course they don't use glutinous rice flour for their baked goods or donuts as most of them are wheat based. If you ever do get a chance to visit Canada, they're known for their nature and a lot of heritage.

Hey Moe I always love the Mochi Donuts and they are donuts that have eight small balls connected together.
100 gram cake mix, 100 gram gelatinous rice flour, 1/2 tablespoon baking powder, 150 gram tofu, 50 ml water, 45 gram sugar. Starch to roll mochi into balls. Parchment paper. 180° Celsius until golden brown. 50 gram powdered sugar with 2 teaspoon lemon juice for glaze.
That’s amazing how ur daughter gets to learn 2 languages 🥰 your English is amazing btw!
