When I go antiquing I look for women figures and portrait plates, platters, cat and dog figurines, hunting plates, primitives, vintage stoneware, furniture, and anything that looks pretty, love your videos and love seeing your furry friends ❤
Enjoyable video. I always love when you share your furry ones. Eric did a brilliant job on the ramp. Love the sweaters, but this once Michigander gal, could never wear ohio state scarlet and gray! 😂 Happy to hear your booth will open soon, I don’t remember hearing where it will be. Keep thrifting and take care! 💓
Oh my gosh, I bought another vintage LL Bean sweater today at a consignment store - made in Iceland! I'll show it in an upcoming video! So glad you like the ramp! It's not the most beautiful thing in the world, but Wilson is safer, and that was the goal.
Good Morning! I so enjoy your videos! You have great friends. Love all the things they gifted you. Your eBay haul is beautiful. You will get so much use out of the cardigans. Wow what a dog ramp!! Kudos to Eric.
I'm so glad you enjoy my videos! The dog ramp has been so helpful - Wilson is so much safer now. We're determined to keep our old guy going for as long as we can! (I mean Wilson, not Eric - 😂😂)
I’m also from CT and I love seeing all the interesting finds. I am also a thrift shop junkie and especially love vintage clothing. You are so right about the quality of LL Bean >25 years ago. I have a few of their Norwegian and Irish sweaters and love them. Here are my laundry tips: wash in Woolite on a hand wash cycle; I use warm water and have had no shrinkage; use a net garment bag for each sweater to minimize friction of the wool fibers, I add a small amount of fabric softener ( sometimes the vintage Irish wool can be a little rough and this helps); lay flat to dry on a towel. I have never shrunk a sweater and I have many vintage wools. Your sweaters are beautiful and I know they’ll keep you warm!
Thank you so much for the tips! I haven't washed them yet, so I'll try your techniques - I appreciate you sharing them. I don't have a net garment bag, but I'm sure I can find one on Amazon.
Great finds for yourself and your store. Can’t wait for the booth to open 👏🏼Love the sweaters. You are 100% correct the quality isn’t the same anymore. Enjoy!
Another great video! Thank you. The dogs are SO happy to be outside. A lot of thought & effort went into building the ramp but so worth it. Great job ! Take care.
What an absolutely wonderful video. Loved everything about it....although I'm especially partial to all the fur baby appearances...Indie helping was the cutest. Ye olde New England Yankee turning on of the heat date is unofficially November 1. I've held out, but I do cheat with a little space heater to warm the bathroom after I get out of the shower! Brrrrrr
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Wasn't it cute when Indy tried to reach over to the tray? He loves to be involved in everything. Did Eric pay you to tell me about turning on the heat on November 1st? 😂😂
Hi! As always I’m loving your haul!❤ Instead of spraying your rack off white maybe think about a nice blue, turquoise or jadeite green! I’m thinking that wouldn’t be the most ideal shelf for dishes or anything breakable because it would be too easy for customers to knock things over or let things fall down the big spaces which could damage your products! However You often buy beautiful baskets, metal, brass & linens. A lot of the colors you lean to tend to be more neutral so I think that displaying these items on a blue, jade green or turquoise shelf would really draw shoppers eyes into your booth space & make those items really pop! Anything wooden would really look beautiful against those colors as well! You could even use one of the shelves to display some of your more detailed linens by using the bars from the shelf above to hang them from! Or fold hankies & display them that way!? I know I tend to walk into the booths that catch my eye right away versus just taking a quick peek & walk by in the ones who don’t!😂 I’m sure whatever you do it will turn out lovely!
Such a nice video it makes me feel like we are just visiting with a coffee. As you know I love Lenox and the Presidential collection is timeless. I have the McKinley set. I’m sure those plates are probably already sold. I’m so happy you like the tablecloths and I love how you displayed the silver plate set. I remember all of those sweaters. I am always attracted to beautiful buttons as well. Unfortunately, I rarely wear sweaters here in Florida and I gave almost all of mine away before I moved here. Eric did a great job on the ramp. I’m so happy for Wilson as he can now enter and exit the house safely. As always, I loved seeing Indy and the dogs.❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! You and I definitely share a love for Lenox, and I agree, the Presidential Collection is especially elegant. The silver plate set is so pretty in the library. I often sit there and do my ebay listing, and I enjoy seeing it right in front of me.
I am by now thoroughly convinced that ERIC is the real treasure in your home! Perhaps soon you can do a video on tips to get one’s husband to get up from his recliner and start on the honey-do list. I did love this video, in that you had different bits of life in it. By the way, are you going to sell that Bates bedspread??? Just sayin’…! ❤❤
I LOVE vintage J. Jill, so I totally understand that thrill of the hunt (and scooping up a few extras lol!)!! I found a NWT vintage J. Jill crochet sweater on Ebay that is one of my favorite wardrobe pieces!! I may or may not be looking for an LL Bean made in Ireland cardigan now though haha!!
It's so fun to find these well made vintage pieces, right? Is there a difference in quality between vintage J. Jill and the J. Jill that's available today? I'd love to know!
@@WorthingtonHome There is a big difference in the styling and materials for sure! I think their linen is still good quality, but it's all somewhat square shaped now lol. My cousin does "colors" for people and she also does styles for them and I am a romantic according to her (I agree). The older J. Jill is much more romantic, vintage, Edwardian type of items.
We try to wait til the end of October to put our heat on. We didn't make it this year. Not sure if it is because it was colder or because we are older 😂 I would've taken that frog pitcher and ran! Love it, marked or not. The corn dish is wonderful, too! So much fun. I am now going on eBay to search for sweaters....
I have several of my sweaters from the late 80s and early 90s, which I love wearing! My nephew is a successful reseller of vintage clothes and he has first dibs on my Woolrich.
Great video. I would paint the peg shelve a creamy color. Red is very particular. A little aging wax on the cream would look nice. The large rack could use paint as well, mostly because you will want to have your items pop, and if you are using it for china it might blend a little too much. The sweaters are great. I remember those patterns from my younger years as well!
@@WorthingtonHome Well as a newby myself, I can say, it is pretty easy. I follow gingerchickrehab and have picked up some tips. I just painted a head and footboard for my daughter’s room. I used a light green mineral paint and the aging wax took the whole project to the next level. Next time I am going to have some clear wax on hand to use to control the darkness. You basically just brush on the aging wax and then wipe it off. If you think it is too dark you can use the clear wax to remove more. Good luck!
Environmental factors have really effected textiles and how they are sourced. Cotton items especially. LLBean items are amazing. I’ve been lucky enough to have Italian sweaters from my Grama she wore 60/70. She bought amazing things or knitted herself . And you know I love those new Lenox plates. I can’t ….glad I got the pinecone ones when I did !
Your grandmother's Italian sweaters must be amazing - you're so lucky to have them! I'm so glad you love the Lenox plates! It's hard for me to part with some of the beautiful things I find, but it's much easier when I know they're going to people who are excited to have them! 💕💕
I really need to buy that product - it's often suggested to me, and I haven't given it a try yet. I'm going to order some on Amazon right now. Thank you!
Not overthinking the tray with tea set. 😁 Perhaps some pretty silver teaspoons standing up in the creamer and some cocktail napkins that compliment your living room on the tray. I think all that silver needs some softness. Also, you could put some seasonal candy, acorns etc… in the sugar bowl. Such a pretty set regardless.
OOOOOH - you said CANDY, my favorite! I love your suggestions! Thank you!

For safely cleaning sterling and other metals I use Simichrome Polish. Also I would suggest going to the Southbury Training School Thrift Shop if you are in that area. Love the videos!
Do you have a video in which you tell us about your previous careers? The English teacher in me makes me advise you to check the pronupnciation of “ damask.” It is dam-ask, according to on-line pronunciation guides. Your husband is very talented to have built the ramp. He is a Keepeer! What a great haul!
I don't have a dedicated video on the subject, but I definitely mention it from time to time. Thank you for your correction on my pronuciation - it "felt" wrong even as I was saying it. Not only does Eric build dog ramps, he is currently packaging my sold ebay items, good man!
Good morning, I have a 1990’s ll bean Womens barn coat still beautiful, it was made in Maine. Today they’re not. Went to Manchester savers yesterday found 9 salad plates from Limoges 5.99 7 in perfect condition. And 3 pieces of Lenox. I don’t collect either or do resale. Almost picked up for you, but to many questions on getting it to you. Love the sweaters, I had the one with the lobster clasps. What I did buy was 2 beautiful vegetable bowls in the pine cone pattern you showed. 3.99 for the two.
I haven't turned my heat on either here in Connecticut, but it's not that I have a date in mind. It's that I haven't cleaned the radiators yet and I don't want to smell burning dust. I'll get to it real soon. It is getting chilly!

The bakers rack would look good with a fresh coat of paint. The red shelf would look great in a butter cream, I think. You are so funny!

Now I sm on the hunt for LLBean vintage wool cardigans. The dog ramp is fantastic. Eric is so talented.

I'm in love with the 🐸!!
It's so cute, right?
I think the long shelf is a great neutral color and has a patina that makes it look vintage.
Those are really good points. I really appreciate the feedback - thank you!
I loved 🥰 this video. So fun. Love the idea of purchasing the sweaters on eBay. Cool ones. Ty for sharing with us. Happy Halloween Kris! Stephanie
Happy Halloween to you too! The kids are going to have excellent weather for it!

LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR
LLBEAN SWEATERS..
I HAVE MANY AND WEAR THEM ALL FALL AND WINTER..
Thank you! It hasn't been cold enough to wear them here yet, but winter is on the way!

Love the tray !!! Some wood element or greenery
I never thought of wood! I like your idea of bringing in a different element - thank you for the suggestion!

Haha! I might have caused a boom in ebay sweater-buying! It's so addictive, especially when those offers come rolling in.
I have several of my sweaters from the late 80s and early 90s, which I love wearing! My nephew is a successful reseller of vintage clothes and he has first dibs on my Woolrich.
Haha! You better lock up your vintage sweaters when he visits! Where does he sell?
@WorthingtonHome He's online

Love the video! Haggerty's Silver Foam for cleaning sterling silver, silver plate and gold.
Excellent! Thanks for the tip! I love to know what people are using!

I feed my two cats on my silver tray.
I hope you feed them FANCY Feast, because that's super fancy - and I love it! 😸😸
Barkeepers Friend in liquid form is great for all metals. Hi to the critters.

Love your pets💌💌💌💌. Pls. wear gloves next time you handle the chemicals. That will make your hands rough!
You're so right! Next time I will!

UGH - that's the worst smell! I know exactly what you mean!
Yes, please paint the shelf - more neutral appealing color
Neutral may be the way to go, I agree. Thanks for the suggestion!
On silver tray maybe a bud vase and rose?
That would look lovely, but definitely not cat-friendly. I miss having things like that around!
Please leave the tray and coffee pot alone, I love the smaller tray with the tea set
Thanks for the feedback! Sometimes I overly-fuss with things when simplicity can be best. ❤❤
I wonder how the coffee tray set would look with a doily!
What about a small vase of flowers or greens?
@gdbreon8300 ooh yeah!
Or in my house !!!
Ooooh - so pretty! I'll have to try that!
