I am so glad you made it to the Historical Society tag sale & that you found excellent items. I know the volunteers work very hard at this. I had recc’d it a month or two ago. They have events for schools, events that educate ppl on history, operating expenses, excellent programs. And 91S, for some unknown reason, is almost always backed up.
I'm going to definitely go back there for one of their exhibits and also check out the virtual tour. I can't say enough about how organized the sale was and how very nice all of the volunteers were!
You don't like sunflowers? Oh no! It's funny - my mother used to have a painting of a sunflower in her master bedroom and I truly disliked it. But I like the actual flowers very much!
Windsor is my neck of the woods! I was going to explain the history to you, but you did a fine presentation yourself. Those brick buildings were part of Loomis Chafee prep school which is just south of where you were. Governor Ella Grasso graduated from Loomis Chafee (Chay-fee). Wonderful finds today!!!

The auction house had some beautiful pieces, auctions are always so fast paced and I’m not very good at knowing what is happening so I do enjoy watching but making bids would wreck my nerves. 😅 I’m excited to see your booth, wishing you much success.

I notice one of the books, I think it was called Christmas in Connecticut, was by Diane Smith. I wonder if it’s the same Diane Smith who was a news woman on tv in Connecticut. Windsor is a beautiful town. Lots of historical homes. I think there’s a rivalry with Wethersfield as to which one is older.
YES! And mine is actually a signed copy, which is extra fun! Windsor and Weathersfield are both so beautiful - whichever one is older, they're definitely TIED for beauty!
