He looks spot on! Other than the marginal backpack (and perhaps also the ball-peg joints on the feet), I can’t really think how it could be improved. The paint job is stellar, and that red chrome on the bumper is really cheeky
Hopefully they’ll do bumblebee at some point, however, we need a new version of Sideswipe and perhaps Sunstreaker would love to see fans toys, take on the Lamborghini brothers
This toy looks great from the front. Great proportions, great paint and face sculpt. However I don't think they nailed the backpack very well. It is miles better that XTB Toro (which is pretty old and designed to pair with MP-21) but IMO it still leaves room for another company to swoop in with an even more toon accurate Cliffjumper. As for the Transformation... it looks Fanstoys Fiddly. Other recent Fanstoys figures have had pretty clean and smooth transformations but this one seems a return to bad form with assemblies of parts not having a place to lock into until you arrange a half dozen fiddly panels around them to lock them in place. I've got this guy ordered and he'll replace Toro on my shelf but... ehh, I had hoped for a little more.
I’m not a fan I’m a whole air conditioner for Fanstoys. They just released finished pics of Gears and it looks stunning. Fanstoys are the standard and no one is close!
Fans toys is great, I have many of their figures but I don't think any of them are "fun" to transform. That's my main knock on them. I don't need them to have downright human articulation but being fun to transform would be a nice bonus. Take for instance Takara Skids, the character was in 1 episode of G1 but that figure is fun to transform, nice and easy.

Thanks for the review Sony, picked mine up at TFCon LA from Eddie...It is a really well done figure, and I'm NOT a FTs FB, but credit is due where it's deserved. The Bot mode is outstanding minus the funky DBL swivel shoulders and...Hip skirts, which could be problematic in the future. The Alt mode tho is NOT my taste tho and I know FTs could had went RL accurate because Bot uses a Fake chest. With that said...Well worth the $$$. Oh yea, I couldn't convince myself to get FTs Soundwave or any of the last 8 releases. LoL.
He and Jive got me to purchase a figure each, from the two top US retailers🥳. TCP and Toy Dojo rock. I'm still waiting on MPG-03 to arrive at TCP and I can get mine shipped free👍. Always appreciate a fellow FansToys Fan Man's review. Safe travels man.

Love the paint on the eyes and the head sculpt is perfect, just not crazy about the car mode. Too "chibi" for me, but the bot mode is on point. Can't wait for FT to do a g1 bumblebee bee. Nice review and nice to see the TH-cam TF reviewer code of leaving the qc sticker is being upheld..... 😀
I just paid for mine...it seems excessively complicated in a way to me. But I like puzzles so it's not that big of a deal. The Alt mode is killer. The head sculpt seems off though compared to the TT version.
Fans toys have been leaning towards the animated look, which I love. I think their Cliffjumper will look great with the second Bumblebee. The Xtransbots version matches the original MP Bumblebee.
I mean he looks freaking awesome, but as I've got MP-21 as my Bee it looks really off together... Obviously they're going to do something like a "FT-59 Hornet" or something for a Bumblebee that'll be light years better than either Takara offering, but I'm not real certain I need/want to upgrade 21 really. Not to mention the problem that he's basically sold out everywhere I've looked except for places jacking the price up to around $120-130 which is just stupid for a minibot...
I don't like it at all. Fanstoys really missed with this one in my opinion. It looks great in robot and vehicle mode I will give it that. But I don't like the transformation or the completely faux chest. I get the faux chest is for cartoon accuracy but I would have rather had a less cartoon accurate but still good looking figure with at least a partially real chest like the first MP Bumblebee.
Unfortunately, this has been slowly creeping toward the standard ever since G1 Super Ginrai/Powermaster Optimus Prime back in 1988. That mofo had the entire truck front as his back, with his robot chest & abs covered up by his arms in vehicle mode. Nowadays? Stuff like MP39 Sunstreaker, the MP52 Seeker mold, and then some just lean right on into it. Seems like simpler transformations with no or minimal faux parts is a relic of the past now. (MP24 Starsaber is probably the most ideal example of this, alongside the MP Datsuns)
The fanstoys fanboy comments make me sick. Get a life. Its a toy for Fsake. Just as bad ad Takara fanboys. That being said this is the first release of theirs ive bought since their insecticons. Takara aint the best and neither are fanstoys. A lot of other companies are just as good and its great to have options. Some people are to brain washed and loyal to the fanstoys and takara brands. The toon look has never been a thing for me. Its bland and crap. I prefer the toy look over toon. Give me something highly detailed any day over this bland toy look. Unfortunatley the toon look seems to be the norm now . Such a shame.
